As he was thinking, Tristan Hawthorne received a phone call.
Jas Grant didn’t speak, but noticed Tristan Hawthorne’s expression growing uglier as he listened to the call.
"Hmm, got it."
After hanging up, a heavy anger flashed across Tristan Hawthorne’s eyes.
Jas Grant sensed it and asked, "What’s wrong?"
"I had people check the surveillance footage from the street and mall after Iris Lockwood went out today. But I’ve been told that all the surveillance caras at the places Iris passed by mysteriously broke down."
Tristan Hawthorne spoke with a cold smile, as if he was expressing a sigh, "What a ’coincidence’ indeed."
Hearing this, Jas Grant squinted slightly, a heavy feeling crossing his heart.
"Who do you think did it?" Tristan Hawthorne asked.
Jas Grant stayed silent for a mont.
Tristan Hawthorne called him again, and Jas Grant seed to wake up from a dream and looked at him.
"What are you thinking?" Tristan Hawthorne frowned, "I’m asking you sothing important."
Jas Grant spoke in a deep voice, "Leave this matter to ."
Tristan Hawthorne sighed helplessly, "Even if you find out, would Evelyn Clayton be willing to see you?"
"For Iris Lockwood, she will et." Jas Grant said lightly, giving Tristan Hawthorne a look, "Even if she doesn’t, you are still here, aren’t you?"
Tristan Hawthorne chuckled, "Even if I’m here, I can’t stay too long."
He was not Jas Grant, and Keith Donovan worked for him; most of The Hawthorne Group’s responsibilities were on Tristan Hawthorne’s shoulders alone.
"I will act quickly." Jas Grant was concise, "Within two days."
Tristan Hawthorne thought for a mont, "Fine."
He could still spare two days.
On the other side, as it was getting dark, Shane Sinclair arrived at the hospital.
Just at the door of the ward, Evelyn Clayton ca out and ran into Shane Sinclair.
After briefly explaining Iris Lockwood’s situation, Evelyn Clayton apologized with a wry smile, "I skipped work again today, I’m really sorry."
"What is there to apologize for? The important thing is she’s okay." Shane Sinclair said, with a sigh, "When mom asked, I didn’t say anything. I was afraid she’d be upset. I only told dad secretly and asked him to help check the surveillance nearby."
Evelyn Clayton’s smile turned mocking, "Tristan Hawthorne already checked. All the surveillance where Iris passed today miraculously broke down."
Hearing this, a mont of shock flashed across Shane Sinclair’s face, "How could this be?"
"That person is showing off to ." Evelyn Clayton’s eyes flashed with a trace of hatred, "He’s using this thod to make wary, to silence ."
Both Iris and Yara Reagan cannot stay here long.

Seeing Evelyn Clayton’s eyes carry a faint sharpness, Shane Sinclair felt a hint of unease in his heart.
"Evelyn, what do you want to do?"
Evelyn Clayton mumbled, "Do what I’ve always intended to do."
Shane Sinclair’s expression beca solemn, "Evelyn, don’t be impulsive. I’ve said, I’ll do that thing for you—"
"Brother." Evelyn Clayton suddenly spoke, interrupting Shane Sinclair, "This matter I have to do myself. I said from the beginning, I don’t want to drag any of you into this."
Shane Sinclair’s eyes showed a trace of urgency, "But on your own, how can you take down that person?"
Evelyn Clayton smiled slightly, "No matter how I do it, I won’t implicate any mber of the Sinclair family."
