Jas Grant furrowed his brows deeply, "What do you an by that?"

Keith Donovan recounted exactly the conversation he had with Evelyn Clayton to Jas Grant.

He even ntioned how they ran into each other at the restaurant again and Evelyn paid the bill.

The more Keith spoke, the more excited he beca, his words speeding up, "I feel like this person is just making excuses. How big of a grudge do you have? You’re sick, and she won’t even co to see you? You say this—"

"Get out."

Jas suddenly spoke.

Keith’s words were cut off abruptly, and he looked at Jas with so unease.

Jas’s eyes were very cold, looking at Keith as if he were a stranger.

He said word for word, "Get out—I don’t want to see you right now."

Keith felt a naless fire rising in his heart.

"Fine, alright." Keith scoffed in anger, "This ti I stuck my nose in where it doesn’t belong, huh? I’m done doing this."

With that, Keith turned around and left angrily.

Jas silently closed his eyes, even his breathing trembled.

He could imagine how angry Evelyn Clayton would be hearing those words.

In fact, in the beginning, Jas had thought about whether Evelyn would soften if she knew how he had been living all these years.

But it didn’t take long for Jas to co to terms with it.

Everything he endured after losing her was deserved, and was his own choice.

What did it have to do with Evelyn Clayton?

But Jas still felt so regret; he shouldn’t have lost his temper with Keith.

The problem was with Keith’s thods and thinking, but he was still speaking on his behalf.

However, Jas didn’t move.

He didn’t intend to call Keith back.

It would be best if Keith left in a huff and went back.

That way, he’d have one less trouble, and he could have so peace.

Before long, Quentin Hale ca in.

Quentin carefully asked, "Director Grant, I saw Director Donovan storming out just now, is everything okay?"

"It’s fine," Jas replied lightly, "What did the doctor say, when can I be discharged?"

Quentin cleared his throat, "The doctor said, in your current condition, you still need to stay for a few more days for observation. Maybe you should just rest well. There’s nothing urgent at the company for now, and I’ll report any situation to you right away—"

"Get my house in Aethelburg tidied up, and have soone move my things here."

Quentin’s words stopped abruptly, staring at Jas in disbelief.

Did Director Grant an he planned to live here permanently?

What about the company’s affairs?

A week or a month away is one thing, but they can’t go on without a CEO in charge forever, can they?

Quentin wanted to persuade him but was hesitant and stood frozen for a long ti without responding.

Jas glanced at him indifferently, his voice cold, "Is there a problem?"

"No—" Quentin coughed lightly and hesitantly probed, "Do you plan to live in Aethelburg permanently? Then what about the company—’

"Do I have to report every decision I make to you now?" Jas asked coldly, raising an eyebrow in challenge.

Quentin shuddered and dared not ask any more questions.

"I understand, Director Grant, I’ll arrange it now."

As he left, Quentin ran into Keith Donovan returning.

"Director Donovan?" Quentin was surprised, "Where did you go?"

"Shh."

Keith still seed angry, looking aggrieved and telling Quentin to keep his voice down, "What did he just say?"

Quentin felt like he had found a lifeline.

"Director Grant asked to tidy up his house here, I think he’s planning to stay here for a while. Please help persuade Director Grant, there are hundreds of people at the company who rely on him for their livelihood!"
