Quentin Hale’s face was filled with the relief of narrowly escaping disaster, along with a hint of a bitter smile.

It seed as though the person in the bathtub wasn’t Jas Grant, but himself.

Because if Jas really had an accident today, Quentin would be the first one responsible.

Keith Donovan, looking exhausted, glanced at the pale and unconscious Jas Grant in the hospital room, feeling both helpless and amused, "The doctor said there are no major issues, he just drank too much, and he has a slight alcohol allergy, so he passed out."

Quentin felt slightly relieved.

But then he thought again and felt uneasy: "Why was Director Grant in the bathtub? Could it be that he was trying to—"

Suicide?

Quentin couldn’t even bring himself to say the word.

If Jas really did commit suicide, Quentin didn’t know what Evelyn Clayton would do; he might have to apologize with his own life first.

Don’t be fooled by Harrison Grant’s poor relationship with this eldest son, but if sothing really happened, the old man wouldn’t let Quentin off...

Keith, feeling both frustration and disbelief, glanced again at the person on the sickbed, and said irritably, "If he’s really going to be brainless enough to commit suicide over this little thing, then I wouldn’t want to be his brother anymore. It’s really sothing, playing this for a woman, huh?"

Quentin kept silent.

Thinking calmly at this mont, it did seem that Jas wouldn’t do such a thing.

But he couldn’t help but correct Keith, "Suicide... If not for extre pain, one wouldn’t choose to give up their own life."

Keith scratched his head irritably, "I know. It’s just that I feel Jas doesn’t need to, it hasn’t co to a desperate situation yet?"

After pondering for a while, Keith asked Quentin, "Do you know where Evelyn and that... the kid, where do they live?"

As soon as Quentin heard this, he knew that Jas had already told Keith about the situation.

"Well, I’m not really sure specifically, but—actually, they’re both in the hospital recently." Quentin pursed his lips, "Quite the coincidence, they’re also at the Second Affiliated Hospital."

Keith’s eyes widened slightly, "Oh? Such a coincidence? Who’s sick?"

"It’s Director Grant’s child, Sharon Sinclair. Apparently, she accidentally bumped the back of her head at school and is in the hospital now."

"Sharon Sinclair..." Keith muttered, half sarcastic, half mocking, "Doesn’t carry Clayton’s nor Grant’s surna, but so distant one. If I were Jas, maybe I’d play suicide too."

Then Keith said, "Which building are they staying in now at the inpatient departnt? I’m going there."

Quentin looked slightly apprehensive, "What are you going to do?"

"Pay a visit, and by the way, tell Evelyn about Jas’ situation. It’s such a good opportunity, since Jas can’t bring himself to lower his dignity, I’ll help him play the sympathy card!"

Looking at Keith’s nonchalant face, Quentin suddenly felt that calling him here was a mistake.

But the matter had co to this point, and Quentin actually also hoped that things regarding Jas and Evelyn could be resolved quickly.

After all, there were still a bunch of things waiting over in Riversend.

Quentin pondered for a long ti and then told Keith the location.

Keith went off without saying a word.

Quentin watched his back, suddenly feeling a bit regretful.

This seed, not to be a good idea...

anwhile, Keith couldn’t care much over there.

He directly entered the inpatient building and arrived at the floor Quentin had ntioned.

Seeing that this floor consisted entirely of high-end pediatric wards, Keith thought it shouldn’t be easy to get in. As he was considering this, a nurse quickly stopped him.

"Who are you?" The nurse looked suspicious, "Are you visiting a patient or did you walk into the wrong place?"
