The night at the family old house, Evelyn Clayton and Shane Sinclair didn’t tell their family in advance. Upon seeing them return, Pauline Warren hugged Evelyn tightly, almost crying tears of joy.
"It’s good that you’re back, it’s good that you’re back!" Pauline Warren kept saying, "I was truly scared, and didn’t dare let Sharon know, for fear of frightening her."
Speaking, Pauline Warren showed a smile again.
"Yara and Iris are both here, they took Sharon out, but they should be back soon."
A little after ten, Yara Reagan and Iris Lockwood brought Sharon back.
As soon as Sharon entered the door and saw Evelyn Clayton, her eyes lit up instantly, and she ran up loudly, "Mommy!!"
Evelyn Clayton wrapped her arms around Sharon, kissing her cheek, smiling at her daughter, "How about it, did you miss Mommy?"
"Missed you so much!" Sharon snuggled in Evelyn Clayton’s arms like a little kitten, "Mommy, how co you’re back so soon? I thought it would be many, many more days!"
"Mommy finished her work ahead of schedule, so naturally she’s back." Evelyn Clayton rubbed Sharon’s cheek.
Once the mother and daughter were done being affectionate, Yara Reagan and Iris Lockwood ca up to hug Evelyn Clayton.
The three friends hadn’t seen each other for over half a year, and with the matters involving Jas Grant, of course, they had much to say, but they couldn’t let Sharon catch on. So, they waited until Sharon was asleep to have a late-night talk in Evelyn Clayton’s little building.
This ti, they also called Shane Sinclair to join them, and the group gathered around the fireplace to discuss the matter.
After knowing about Evelyn Clayton’s thrilling night in Paris, Iris Lockwood’s mouth was agape, enough to fit an egg. Knowing Evelyn Clayton had unexpectedly t Jas Grant, Iris Lockwood’s mouth opened even wider, with the impression it could fit an ostrich egg.
"Oh my heavens... How can it be such a coincidence?" Iris Lockwood murmured, "Wasn’t he always following you into that hotel? How can Jas Grant never change his ways?"
Yara Reagan sneered lightly, "If he were normal, I wouldn’t think it was Jas Grant at all."
Evelyn Clayton remained quiet, saying nothing.
Shane Sinclair glanced at Evelyn Clayton, speaking quietly, "Now we need to think about how to prevent Jas Grant from knowing Sharon is his child."
With these words, Yara Reagan and Iris Lockwood both quieted down.
It was indeed a troubleso matter.
After a while, Iris Lockwood suggested, "How about we just hide Sharon better, and not let him know?"
"You can hide it temporarily, but not forever." Evelyn Clayton finally spoke, "He already knows where I am, knows I’m alive, finding out about Sharon’s existence is just a matter of ti. Instead of letting him track down clues, why don’t we prepare in advance?"
Shane Sinclair nodded in agreent, "Evelyn is right."
Evelyn Clayton looked at Shane Sinclair, "So, brother, about what I ntioned before, can you help find soone?"
Shane Sinclair paused slightly, narrowing his eyes as he looked at Evelyn Clayton, "You’re implying you’ve already thought of soone?"
Yara Reagan and Iris Lockwood were puzzled, "What matter, finding soone?"
"My idea is, rather than letting Jas Grant discover that Sharon is his blood relation, it’s better to make him believe from the start that Sharon is a child I have with soone else." Evelyn Clayton looked calm, "That way he won’t get suspicious."
Yara Reagan fell into deliberation, neither agreeing nor disagreeing.
Iris Lockwood’s mind was simple, imdiately said, "Hey that’s a good idea! Anyway, Sharon is young enough, looks like you, he won’t tell the difference."
"So who do you plan to find?" Yara Reagan instinctively glanced at Shane Sinclair, who remained silent, and asked Evelyn Clayton, "Who is willing to act this out with you?"
Upon hearing this, Evelyn Clayton turned to Shane Sinclair, pondering, "Brother, over there—"
Unexpectedly, before Evelyn Clayton could finish speaking, Shane Sinclair shivered slightly, his expression becoming a bit peculiar.
"I’m your brother, it’s not possible!"
