Matthew Sullivan’s face turned ashen, "What you’re doing now is no different from announcing it to the world."

"Then you have to give a status," Iris Lockwood pouted.

Just as she was about to cling to Matthew again, they were interrupted by a knock on the door.

Evelyn Clayton pushed the door open and entered, Matthew’s eyes imdiately filled with a hint of joy.

He was about to greet her when he suddenly saw Jas Grant following closely behind her.

"Why are you two here together?" Matthew gritted his teeth. Were they up to sothing behind his back at the company?

"Can’t you two be more discreet at the office? Does everyone have to know you’re hooking up behind my back?"

He had just been promoted to general manager, and Evelyn was already eager to cuckold him at the company.

Matthew was so angry that he trembled.

However, Evelyn and Jas remained unfazed, seeing Matthew as just a child throwing a tantrum.

Jas casually sat across from Matthew, "You’ve handed over the entire Starlight Project proposal to Quentin Hale. From now on, I’ll be taking charge of this project. You’re responsible for the demolition project in the old Bridge West district."

"Why!" Matthew slapped the table and stood up, "Director Grant, aren’t you too autocratic? How can you just take over the Starlight Project with a single sentence? This is a project Evelyn and I were jointly responsible for. You’re abusing your power."

Jas rested his hand on his cheek, provocatively looking at Matthew.

"When you sit in the director’s chair, you can misuse your power too."

"You—!"

Matthew was exasperated, but having just been promoted to general manager and in front of Evelyn, he didn’t want to disgrace himself. He forcibly suppressed his anger and spoke up.

"I need to talk to Dad. I’ll only agree if he agrees."

Evelyn imdiately frowned, a hint of disdain flashing in her eyes.

Jas was even more blunt, "Are you still a child who hasn’t been weaned? You’re already the general manager yet still can’t separate personal and professional matters."

Iris imdiately beca displeased when Jas spoke to Matthew like this and imdiately retorted Jas.

"How is he mixing personal with professional matters? Uncle Grant is his dad, after all!"

Evelyn scolded lightly, "In the company, there are only employnt relationships, no father-son relationships. If you can’t differentiate that, how can you do business?"

Startled by the reprimand, Iris was about to argue back, but Evelyn’s "If you disagree, you can resign," stopped her.

She disagreed but didn’t dare resign.

After all, this was her only chance to stay close to Matthew.

So Iris could only press her lips together and stand aside, hoping Matthew would rember her kindness for speaking up for him.

Jas gave her an approving look.

"Stop eyeing each other in front of , I’m not dead yet," Matthew said sarcastically, "I can’t possibly hand the project over to you. I did all the initial preparations for the Starlight Project, and now you want to take it away with a word, why? I won’t accept it!"

When he said this, he lacked confidence. Given Director Grant’s authority, taking this plan would be a breeze.

Jas got up and tapped the table lightly twice, "I want to see all the plans for this project by tomorrow. You can continue to participate, but only as a deputy."

They say the higher rank crushes you; Jas forcefully entered the project, and Matthew had no choice but to suffer humiliation and step down to number two.

Evelyn cleared her throat lightly.

"This is a matter within your group, I’m not in a position to get involved. Just let know what tasks I’ll be responsible for and the next eting ti. If you need to contact , reach out to my assistant."
