Yara Reagan didn’t go anywhere else, but went to Julia Lawrence’s house.

She’s been to this place many tis. This ti, Yara didn’t even plan to go in. She directly managed to get Julia Lawrence’s parents’ phone number from the security booth and called from the entrance of the community.

The security guard in the booth looked at this sowhat familiar girl, feeling like he’d seen her sowhere but couldn’t recall for the life of him.

The security guard, with nothing better to do, looked at his phone, where the screen was flooded with news about jumpers.

By the ti the security guard had finished catching up on the gossip on his phone and looked up, the girl was already gone.

As night fell, Evelyn Clayton and Rhys Jacobs dragged their exhausted bodies out of the police station and drove to Evelyn’s house.

As soon as they entered, Yara Reagan and Iris Lockwood stood up impatiently, looking at them anxiously.

Evelyn Clayton forced a pale, wretched smile: "It’s Julia Lawrence."

Rhys Jacobs remained silent, but his expression alone was enough to convey how much shock he had endured that day.

Yara Reagan and Iris Lockwood were frozen in place, the silence swallowing each of them like a giant snake.

It was a long ti before Evelyn Clayton moved slowly, collapsing into the sofa.

Rhys Jacobs sat across from them, removing his glasses and pinching the bridge of his nose, his voice muffled: "The police have confird it was Julia Lawrence who jumped, initially ruled as a suicide, and no trace of a second person was found at the scene."

"Why?" Yara Reagan asked incoherently, "Why did she do it..."

The person was dead, and courtesy told Yara Reagan to respect the deceased, and she shouldn’t say much, but she couldn’t help herself.

"She just... just died under Gem’s building like this. If this gets out, what are we supposed to do?" Yara Reagan slightly gritted her teeth, her eyes already red.

Evelyn Clayton, eyes closed, spoke in a weak voice: "I’ve already asked the PR departnt to announce this news. We’ll delay launching the new clothes in physical stores by two days and deal with Julia Lawrence’s matter first."

Just as she finished speaking, Evelyn Clayton’s phone rang.

The caller was Jas Grant, and Evelyn Clayton glanced at it, fatigue flashing in her eyes. She dismissed the call and tossed the phone aside.

Monts later, the phone rang again, but this ti it wasn’t Jas Grant.

"It’s Lynn Yates," Yara Reagan noticed first, sucking in a slight breath.

Evelyn Clayton opened her eyes to look, and after taking the phone, hesitation was evident in her expression.

After a while, she answered the call, putting it on speaker, and with her eyes slightly closed, she said, "Director Yates."

"What’s going on?" Lynn Yates got straight to the point, her tone unusually heavy, "I heard sothing happened to a forr employee of your company?"

At this point, there was no use hiding it.

Evelyn Clayton’s voice was slightly hoarse: "Yes, sothing happened. She’s gone."

Lynn Yates confird again: "Is it the sa employee involved in the Lucy Carter incident, the one who liaised the custom clothing with Lucy?"

"That’s right." Evelyn Clayton showed no hesitation, "Director Yates, this incident will inevitably affect Gem. If you have concerns, you might consider canceling our partnership."

Lynn Yates remained silent for a long ti.

"Figure it out. If the negative comnts can’t be eliminated in two days, our partnership ends here." Lynn Yates finished speaking and hung up the phone decisively.

The atmosphere in the room plunged into dead silence.

After a long while, Yara Reagan spoke with a hint of hope in her voice: "There might... still be a way. If we can find Lucy Carter and ensure she doesn’t say anything reckless online, maybe... there’s still a chance?"
