As night fell, Evelyn Clayton and Yara Reagan headed to the Grant Family mansion together.

The sky was already dark by the ti they arrived, and the entrance to the grand Grant Family mansion was bustling with activity.

Yara parked the car under the shade of a tree, waiting for the cars at the entrance to clear before driving in.

Growing a bit impatient, Yara pulled out a mirror to touch up her makeup while complaining, "Harrison Grant sure invited a lot of people! I really wonder where he gets such good connections—does he really have friends?"

"It’s all about mutual benefit. Harrison Grant might not have friends, but the people around him, including himself, are friends with money," Evelyn said, gazing distantly towards the Grant Family mansion.

Yara adjusted herself and followed Evelyn’s gaze, looking at the large entrance with evident disdain.

After waiting for around ten minutes, most of the cars at the entrance had driven inside.

Yara restarted the car, slowly driving towards the entrance of the Grant Family mansion.

As they approached, the Grant Family’s butler appeared with attendants to greet them.

The butler’s expression froze for a mont upon seeing Evelyn, then quickly forced a smile, which seed sowhat strange: "Oh, it’s Miss Clayton. I didn’t expect you to co."

"What, am I unwelco?" Evelyn replied with a smile, "If I’m not welco, I can drop the gift and leave, how about that?"

With more cars arriving behind them, the butler naturally couldn’t really send Evelyn away at this mont, so he had no choice but to smile and let Yara drive into the garden.

The garden of the Grant Family mansion looked exceptionally beautiful today; despite it being late autumn, none of the flowers were wilting, and even in the open air, the garden inexplicably gave off a warm feeling.

After Evelyn and Yara got out of the car, an attendant ca over to park it, to which Yara graciously gave a tip.

There were already quite a few guests in the garden, though hardly anyone paid attention to the two of them.

"It seems like the Grant Family must have piped in hot spring water into that pond, otherwise why does it feel like spring in here?"

Yara got two glasses of champagne, handing one to Evelyn while pursing her lips as she spoke.

Evelyn chuckled lightly, "Looks like it."

"No wonder money really can solve most problems," Yara sighed, "When will I ever have money?"

Evelyn’s gaze swept over the silhouette of the Ford Family car driving in, and she nudged Yara with her elbow to signal her to look.

As the Ford Family car drove in, Violet Ford and Franklin Ford stepped down one after the other.

The siblings imdiately noticed Evelyn and Yara.

Violet headed straight for the pair.

"What a coincidence. I was ssaging you both on the way to ask if you needed a ride, but neither of you responded," Violet quipped.

Evelyn offered a gentle smile, "We were chatting on the road and didn’t notice."

As she spoke, she instinctively glanced towards Franklin, seeing that he had no intention of coming over, the curve of her lips faded a bit.

It seems, Franklin took in quite a bit from their last conversation.

Yara, not noticing anything amiss, engaged in cheerful banter with Violet, leaving Evelyn montarily silent, which caught Violet’s attention.

Violet narrowed her eyes slightly, pondering for a mont before saying with a smile, "Yara, why don’t you keep Franklin company, and I’ll have a word with Evelyn."

Yara tactfully refrained from asking further, rely exchanging a glance with Evelyn before smiling and moving towards Franklin.

Violet led Evelyn to a corner, her smile fading slightly.

She spoke concisely, her voice lowered: "Yesterday, I discovered so news. The driver who previously conspired with John Jacobs to kidnap you, nad Lars Alden, doesn’t he have a wife who’s been diagnosed with cancer? I’ve found out where she is now."
