Jas Grant didn’t move, his gaze dark as he stared at Evelyn Clayton, "I ca today to talk to you about sothing important. Are you sure you don’t want to hear it?"

Rhys Jacobs, who had co to see them off, heard this and looked at Evelyn Clayton inquiringly.

Evelyn Clayton’s lips moved slightly, and after a long pause, she said, "What is it?"

Jas Grant glanced coldly at Rhys Jacobs and shut the office door with a firm hand.

He didn’t waste any words, speaking concisely, "Matthew Sullivan is going to be bailed out."

Evelyn Clayton’s pupils trembled slightly, "What?"

"My father intends to bail him out," Jas Grant explained patiently, "as early as tonight, at the latest by tomorrow morning, Matthew Sullivan will have a dical parole note and will leisurely walk out of prison."

Evelyn Clayton bit her molars slightly, her gaze growing colder as she looked at Jas Grant, "Harrison Grant’s idea, right? It seems Matthew Sullivan has quite a hold on him."

Jas Grant was noncommittal, "Regardless of what Matthew Sullivan holds over him, it’s certain he won’t be punished. You know, on the surface, I can’t make a move against him right now."

That night, Jas Grant almost wanted to kill Matthew Sullivan, but with Lynn Yates there, he regained his senses in ti.

It’s even harder now to move against Matthew Sullivan.

"I didn’t die, not even injured significantly," Evelyn Clayton sneered, "The injury report I provided is just a piece of waste paper, right?"

Jas Grant stood up, seemingly intending to leave.

He gazed heavily at Evelyn Clayton, "I’ve said all I can say, as for how you’ll deal with it... Evelyn, if there’s anything you need to do, you can co to anyti."

Evelyn Clayton remained silent, and Jas Grant stood in place for a long ti before turning and leaving.

After Jas Grant left, Yara Reagan couldn’t wait to co back.

"So, what did he say?" Yara Reagan’s eyes were full of gossip.

Evelyn Clayton pinched her brow and glared at her irritably, "You co when there’s juicy gossip, where were you just now?"

Yara Reagan laughed dryly a couple of tis and urged again, "What did he say, look at you, seems like he ca to give you the wedding invitation of him and Lynn Yates."

Evelyn Clayton ignored Yara Reagan’s teasing banter, and said straightforwardly, "Harrison Grant is planning to bail Matthew Sullivan out."

"What?!" Yara Reagan exclaid, "Has Harrison Grant gone crazy? How co I didn’t see this fatherly love before?"

All the talk left Yara Reagan feeling incredulous, "Why exactly?"

Evelyn Clayton pondered, her gaze flickering, "I don’t know. I guess it’s because Harrison Grant has sothing Matthew Sullivan holds against him. But who knows, maybe Harrison Grant’s fatherly love is acting up, or... perhaps he feels Matthew Sullivan beating up was venting his own anger?"

Several guesses flowed without strong evidence to support them, Evelyn Clayton closed her eyes and shook her head, "Forget it, let’s not think about it for now, I don’t even know if Director Ford has gotten the news."

As Evelyn Clayton expected, Franklin Ford called at night after work.

He spoke heavily, "Matthew Sullivan has just been bailed out."

Evelyn Clayton didn’t hide the fact that Jas Grant had co to see her that day and replied, "Thank you, Director Ford, you’ve already done enough for ."

Franklin Ford laughed lightly, seemingly helpless, "No need to be polite. But Evelyn, you definitely need to be cautious from now on, nobody can predict what Matthew Sullivan will do once he’s out."

"Don’t worry," Evelyn Clayton’s gaze darkened slightly, "He wouldn’t dare, if he dares to make a move during the bail period, this ti, what awaits him is indeed a sentence."
