These words were like a sudden clap of thunder out of nowhere, leaving both Evelyn Clayton and Yara Reagan sowhat stunned.

Violet Ford chuckled softly, "No worries, no coercion. I was just thinking that given your long-standing grudge with her, whether your Gem can thrive in the future depends not only on your abilities but also on whether you have support; even so, you have to watch out for people secretly plotting against you."

Evelyn instantly grasped Violet’s implication, her smile receding slightly, "Sister Violet ans to take us there to give Sumr Monroe a show of force?"

"Evelyn, you’re so clever." Violet smiled brightly, "So, how about it, shall we go together?"

Looking at Violet’s smiling face, Evelyn’s heart sank sowhat.

At this mont, Evelyn suddenly understood.

The main purpose of Violet’s return this ti is to intimidate Sumr Monroe and help her brother, while partnering with Yara and is just a prelude to these two objectives.

Becoming soone else’s stepping stone is not a pleasant experience.

But Evelyn knew they didn’t have the right to refuse.

Within seconds, Evelyn revealed her smile again, responding flawlessly: "Of course. After all, Director Monroe is part of your family, Sister Violet, and it’s only proper for you to see your family while partnering with us."

Satisfaction and appreciation shone in Violet’s eyes.

Even Yara, though slow at tis, understood sowhat at this mont.

She barely maintained her smile, eting Violet’s gaze, "Sister Violet wants us to go, so of course, we’ll go."

"Very well, tonight at Franklin’s restaurant, top floor Number One private room, don’t forget to be on ti."

After speaking, Violet handed two bottles of Chianti to the two girls, then took an exquisite gift box from her bag and handed it to them with a cheerful smile, "An early opening gift, enjoy it slowly."

With that, Violet turned and left gracefully and decisively.

Evelyn, holding the wine, and Yara, holding the box, found it hard to maintain their smiles.

Exchanging a glance, all that was left was a bitter smile.

With mutual understanding, they turned and went into the yet-to-be-decorated new company office space, sitting down by the floor-to-ceiling window.

Yara opened the gift box, revealing two clean crystal wine glasses inside.

She chuckled bitterly, "I really don’t know if Violet looks up to us or what."

Evelyn, however, smiled slightly, opened the wine, and poured it into the glasses, handing one to Yara, then lightly clinked glasses with her.

"Whether she looks up to us or not, the road to success is always fraught with bumps and turns. Compared to those who suffer disdain and neglect and the bitter ones of the human world, our path is already quite smooth."

After speaking, Evelyn drank all the wine in her glass with a smile.

Yara also drank it all in one gulp and couldn’t help but laugh, "You sound like a success guru."

Evelyn smiled gently, "I’ll take your good words, and hopefully, we’ll have success in the future. Whether we beco a master of it, well, let’s see."

With that, the two girls couldn’t help but laugh.

"Alright, back to business," Yara said with so seriousness, "What do you think will happen when we et Sumr Monroe today?"

Evelyn poured herself another glass, her lips curling up, "It’s quite simple. Although Violet is the eldest sister of The Ford Family and holds shares in the family, with Franklin Ford as her biological brother, the two siblings united, perhaps their strength is not enough to contend with the current Sumr Monroe."

Yara was astonished, "Is Sumr Monroe that formidable? I heard that Thorne Holdings under her na was already acquired by Jas Grant——"

She stopped midway, quickly closing her mouth with an apologetic expression.

Evelyn waved her hand, signaling it was okay.

"That’s not the point. I suspect the reason the Ford siblings are wary of Sumr Monroe is very likely related to Felix Ford."

"Perhaps, Felix Ford left sothing back then, which is why Sumr Monroe is so fearless, holding sway over The Ford Family for years, with no one able to shake her."
