Almost having her thoughts exposed, Yara Reagan stiffened and nearly choked on her own saliva.
"Cough cough...No!" Yara was just short of swearing, "You saw it wrong!"
Evelyn Clayton wanted to tease her a bit, but really didn’t have the mood at the mont.
Yara was also afraid she’d ask more, so she changed the topic, "But what happened between you and Jas Grant just now? Did you have a fight?"
Facing Yara, Evelyn naturally had nothing more to hide.
She lowered her brows and eyes, exhaustion clearly showing, and told Yara about her day and what Jas had said.
Yara was dumbfounded by what she heard.
"Is he crazy?" After holding it in for a while, Yara couldn’t help but say angrily, "If you two get photographed again, won’t your reputation be completely ruined?"
Evelyn pinched the bridge of her nose, "I really don’t have the energy to think about that now. There’s a ton of things unfinished, and there’s still Marcus to handle over there...and, Sumr Monroe and Harrison Grant are still watching us like hawks."
It’s not too much to say she’s caught in a dilemma.
Yara comforted her, "Don’t worry, I’ve almost got the registration sorted out. We should have results in two or three days. I’ll see if I can get Old Wang to go check out so office buildings with tomorrow, and I’ll co see you afterwards."
"I’ll go with you." Evelyn said firmly, "I’m not that fragile yet."
The persuasion lingering on her lips was swallowed by Yara, who looked at the determined light in Evelyn’s eyes and sighed lightly, "Evelyn, don’t worry, our days will slowly get better!"
A warm current flowed through Evelyn’s heart, and she held Yara’s hand.
For the next few days, Evelyn and Yara were busy; during the day they went to look at office buildings, and at night they gathered together to draw design sketches.
They also took ti to visit the factory to reassure workers who were temporarily out of work and feeling anxious, running around busily.
Finally, the new week arrived. Early Monday morning, Evelyn and Yara received their business license and all legal docunts for starting their company.
The office building was settled, in the city center at The Imperial Tower, 32nd floor, nearly six hundred square ters, with an annual rent of seven hundred thousand.
This was the largest expenditure since the two of them started their business.
But looking at the big words "Gem Culture & Design Co., Ltd." on the business license, Evelyn and Yara looked at each other and saw tears in each other’s eyes.
They chose not to go with the factory’s original na "Ly" because they wanted to start fresh.
"We’re going to get better and better, right?"
Looking at the empty yet brand-new office space, Evelyn murmured.
Yara hugged her arm, nodded vigorously, and said loudly, "Yes! We’re going to get better and better!"
Before the words were finished, a cheerful voice ca from behind: "The new company address has been set, shouldn’t we celebrate tonight?"
Evelyn and Yara turned around in surprise and then called out in delight, "Violet Ford!"
They saw Violet carrying two bottles of Chianti wine, smiling with curved eyes, "I ca uninvited, you won’t bla , will you?"
"How could we!" Yara bead with joy, "We were just thinking about celebrating tonight! And just between us, Evelyn and I have almost finished the designs for the show and accessories. We’ll show you tonight!"
Evelyn also smiled lightly, "Perfect, Violet, you can give us so pointers."
Violet curved her lips into a smile, "No rush on that. Besides, with your abilities, I’m confident. I ca to take you out to celebrate and also to ask for a favor, to et soone with tonight."
Evelyn and Yara were puzzled, "Who?"
"Sumr Monroe." A gleam passed through Violet’s eyes, "So, what do you say, are you willing?"
