Evelyn Clayton didn’t hold back, straightforwardly stating her situation: "I’m sure you all know, I’m pretty much working solo over here, and recently there have been lots of rumors flying around. The reason I’m offering the lowest price is just to make friends with everyone and expand my network."

As she spoke, she raised her glass, "If President Wang and Director Liu are willing to cooperate with today, I promise I won’t let you down. I also hope that we can beco long-term partners and have more opportunities to work together in the future."

Evelyn Clayton knew very well that with the cards she and Yara Reagan currently held, it was far from enough to work with such a big crew. Even though Franklin Ford was supporting them from behind the scenes, he couldn’t possibly step in personally to negotiate deals.

All she had was sincerity.

After drinking a cup of tea, the people at the table responded with smiles but stayed silent on whether they would cooperate, instead engaging in small talk.

Evelyn Clayton didn’t rush, smiling warmly as she joined the conversation.

The al was quite enjoyable for both hosts and guests, and towards the end, Josephine Warren finally laughed and had the director’s assistant bring out the contract.

Evelyn Clayton held her breath slightly, unable to suppress her excitent inside.

"It’s hard to refuse the lowest price," Josephine Warren concluded decisively, getting up to shake hands with Evelyn Clayton, "Please, Miss Clayton, don’t let us down."

When Evelyn Clayton walked out of the private room with the contract, she was almost in a daze.

Did it really just get finalized like that?

She called Yara Reagan, who obviously had been waiting for a long ti, answering almost imdiately.

"How did it go, how did it go?"

Evelyn Clayton, already slightly tipsy, walked towards the furthest restroom, her voice slightly trembling, "Yara... We did it!"

Yara Reagan instantly squealed: "Really, you’re not lying to ?!"

Evelyn Clayton’s smile deepened as she stopped walking, "Really, I’m not lying. Okay, let’s talk when I get back, I’ve already left."

After hanging up, Evelyn Clayton, in a good mood, continued to walk forward.

As she passed by a private room, she was drawn by the noisy chatter inside, glancing inside unconsciously.

At that glance, Evelyn Clayton suddenly stopped in her tracks.

She turned her head to look, her gaze frozen.

Inside the private room, amidst the rowdy voices and continuous toasting, was a figure very familiar to her.

That person was lifting a liquor decanter in front of him and, urged on by others, downed it in one go. The clear, defined jawline and sharp side profile were strikingly handso.

It was Jas Grant.

Evelyn Clayton was almost taken aback.

She stood there in uncertainty for a long ti before rembering to step aside, ensuring that she wouldn’t be noticed by the people inside the room.

Was Jas Grant entertaining clients?

Why did it look more like he was here to get drunk on purpose?

That entire decanter of alcohol downed in one go made Evelyn Clayton feel nauseous just watching...

A thought rose in her mind, filled with disbelief.

Was Jas Grant socializing for business, pushing himself to drink...

But, with the support of the Yates Family, why would Jas Grant need to do such a thing?

While pondering this, a familiar female voice suddenly chid in at her side, laced with cold, mocking amusent: "Oh, Evelyn Clayton, what a coincidence."

Evelyn Clayton turned her head to see Sumr Monroe standing there nonchalantly, not sure when she had shown up.

"Director Thornton." Evelyn Clayton raised an eyebrow coolly, "It is quite a coincidence. What are you doing here?"

Sumr Monroe tugged at the corner of her lips, her eyes flashing with ridicule towards Evelyn Clayton. She glanced at the room where Jas Grant was, scoffing lightly: "What, are you surprised to see Jas Grant here?"

Hearing this, Evelyn Clayton sowhat understood that Sumr Monroe and Jas Grant were at the sa gathering.

Before Evelyn Clayton could speak, Sumr Monroe raised an eyebrow and sneered: "I have to say, this is all thanks to you. If it weren’t for the gossip about you and Jas Grant, the Yates Family wouldn’t care about what Jas Grant does, and they wouldn’t have temporarily withdrawn their support for him."

Sumr Monroe kept talking, looking at Evelyn Clayton, the jealousy in her eyes growing deeper.

Jas Grant really likes Evelyn Clayton that much?
