Evelyn Clayton listened to the whole thing and turned her head to stare aningfully at Iris Lockwood sitting on the sofa.

Iris Lockwood’s face instantly turned ashen, her cheeks burning as if soone had invisibly slapped her several tis.

But soon, Charlotte Sterling squeezed Iris’s palm, her expression unfathomable.

Iris imdiately realized that this was a perfect opportunity in front of her.

The recorder hadn’t captured any evidence against her. Instead, she had been expressing her love for Matthew Sullivan the entire ti. Isn’t now the perfect mont to pressure the Grant Family?

Charlotte hurriedly gave Iris a fake push, dramatically scolding her.

"Child! How could you be so out of line! That’s your supposed brother-in-law!"

Iris took the chance to kneel on the floor with a thud, looking up at Harrison Grant, on the verge of tears.

"Uncle Grant, things have co to this, I can’t hide it from you any longer! Matthew and I are truly in love, please, let us be together!"

Matthew Sullivan’s face changed, and he rushed forward to cover her mouth: "Are you crazy? What nonsense are you spouting?!"

Evelyn let out a cold snort.

"Uncle Grant, you heard them, their love is strong as gold, so perhaps the engagent should be called off."

Harrison Grant’s brows furrowed tightly, wishing he could tear Matthew Sullivan apart on the spot.

After a long while, Harrison barely managed to squeeze out a loving smile.

"Evelyn, marriage isn’t sothing to take lightly. It’s not sothing that can be changed just like that. I need to think about this carefully; you all should go ho for now!"

Upon hearing this, Evelyn was even more perplexed.

With things blown out of proportion like this, why was Harrison Grant still insisting on the engagent?

Was she really still the beneficiary of this marriage?

Jas Grant’s gaze was profound as he observed the unchanged smile on Harrison Grant’s face, slightly pursing his lips.

"Alright, then consider it carefully. But Matthew Sullivan, you’d better know your place, if you keep pestering Evelyn, this won’t be the last ti."

He sneered as he stepped forward, kicking Matthew Sullivan’s knee, his voice hoarse with threat.

Turning back, Jas lazily said to Evelyn, "Let’s go, I’ll take you ho!"

"No!" Harrison Grant scolded: "Evelyn is your prospective sister-in-law, don’t you understand the etiquette?"

It seed Harrison Grant had an extraordinary level of tolerance for Jas Grant.

Even when scolding, he wouldn’t say anything particularly harsh. Lying on the ground, Matthew Sullivan couldn’t help clenching his fists, the hatred in his eyes barely concealed.

"Do I need to repeat myself? Evelyn is my girlfriend now." Jas Grant slightly furrowed his cold brows, clearly out of patience.

Harrison Grant, repeatedly provoked, was filled with visible anger.

But Jas Grant didn’t care at all, turning his head to place his hands on Evelyn’s shoulders.

"Let’s go!"

His attitude was arrogant and defiant.

Evelyn didn’t want to be associated with him, and with Harrison Grant’s expression at its worst, she was unwilling to add fuel to the fire, so she simply stood still.

Jas Grant pulled her into his embrace, leaning closely to whisper in her ear, "If you don’t leave with , are you waiting for the Lockwood Family to co after you again?"

Raising her gaze, Evelyn’s peripheral vision caught a glimpse of the undeniable anger on Philip Lockwood’s face.

She could imagine that if she were alone, it would definitely be another exhausting and bitter battle.

Choosing the lesser of two evils, she decisively turned to bid Harrison Grant farewell.

"Uncle Grant, then we’ll be off first!"

She tacitly accepted her relationship with Jas Grant.

The two of them leaving together was nearly a perfect match, a sight that pierced Matthew Sullivan’s eyes.
