Two weeks quickly passed and once again, it was ti for one of Colzen City's most anticipated events of the year, the Colzen Academy Entrance Examinations.
Maia trained arduously for this day so she excitedly went to her big brother's room to wake him up.
It was still very early though so the two of them had lots of ti to prepare, unlike Shye who almost didn't make it to the registration on ti.
After eating a sumptuous breakfast, Shye and Maia took a bath, wore their chosen attire, and left the dormitory side by side.
The two of them walked together towards the examination grounds, and then, after around twenty minutes of walking, they arrived at the examination site.
Upon arrival, a few students from Colzen Academy who had gone to the examination grounds to witness the proceedings imdiately identified him.
"It's Shye Crowley! Who's that beside him?"
"That little girl resembles him, maybe his little sister?"
"Yeah, it must be his little sister! Shit! He has a little sister?! If his little sister is even half as talented as him, then this year's entrance exams will be exciting!"
Shye's arrival caused a significant stir, piquing the curiosity of many examinees who were unaware of his identity.
They couldn't resist respectfully inquiring about Shye from the Colzen Academy students who had co to observe the entrance exams.
Of course, the students were simply all too glad to accommodate their respectful request and so, they enthusiastically explained to the curious examinees who Shye Crowley was.
"Well then, let tell you. This guy, Shye Crowley, is a legend within the academy!"
"Currently, he is an upcoming third-year warrior course student, and although he kept a low profile as a sophomore, his feats as a freshman were nothing short of legendary!"
The Colzen Academy student bragged as if he was Shye himself.
However, his story stoked the flas of curiosity and admiration in the hearts of the examinees so they quickly urged the student to tell them about Shye's feats in detail.
Observing the examinees' curiosity, the student chuckled before proceeding with his narrative.
"His first notable achievent was winning the end-of-sester class budget tournant for his class…As a 16th-ranked class captain! Every ti his class was on the verge of losing, this guy miraculously turned the tides of the battle by defeating the enemy's class captain!"
"If only you poor souls had the chance to see his battle with the 1st-ranked warrior student at the ti, Siegfried Lionheart, you'd be so inspired to work harder than you've ever worked in your entire life!"
The student's spittle flew everywhere as he passionately told everyone about Shye's achievents.
"Not only that, he was the first ever freshman student in the history of the entire academy who managed to defeat an ember tiger!"
"Furthermore, he achieved the unprecedented feat of being the first freshman to obtain an interdiate adventurer badge in addition to being granted a class exemption pass!"
"And undoubtedly, the most legendary out of all his accomplishnts..."
"He was chosen as the first freshman substitute representative in Valenzia Region's Adventurer Academy Competition where he played a key role in the three-on-three match, helping Colzen Academy win against their rivals, Shadowglade Academy!"
At this point, the examinees were practically wide-eyed and open-mouthed, utterly astonished by his remarkable accomplishnts as a freshman student.
They resolved themselves to give their utmost effort and strive to beco the next Shye Crowley of Colzen Academy.
anwhile, the protagonist of the legends, Shye, and his little sister, Maia, didn't pay too much attention to the commotion and simply headed towards the registration desk.
Fortunately, the queue wasn't long and after just a few minutes of waiting, it was already Maia's turn.
"Na?"
"Maia Crowley"
Upon hearing her na, the staff mber was taken aback, instinctively turning his gaze towards Maia.
Upon noticing a striking resemblance between the examinee nad Maia Crowley and the academy's legend, Shye Crowley, the staff mber couldn't resist inquiring if the two of them were related to each other.
"Yep! Shye Crowley is my big brother" Maia replied honestly.
Little did she know that her honest answer made the staff mber panic.
"I-I-Is that so? P-please wait here for a bit, I have to ask for instructions."
After seeing the reaction of the staff mber to her reply, Maia was confused.
What did the staff mber need instructions for? Shouldn't he just register her like all the other examinees?
Unbeknownst to her, the staff mber didn't know whether to add her to the list of seeded examinees or not.
After a few minutes of waiting, the staff mber returned and gave her a card which contained her examinee number just like a regular examinee.
Ultimately, as she wasn't initially on Colzen Academy's radar, the head examiner didn't allow her to be a seeded examinee, so she had to go through the standard examination process.
Naturally, Maia couldn't care less about the concept of seeded examinees whatsoever.
All she cared about was fighting strong people in the third assessnt so after she finished her registration, she simply returned to her big brother's side and chatted with him casually while waiting for the assessnts to start.
Since the two of them arrived early, Maia had to wait for an hour before the head examiner walked up the stage and announced the rules of the entrance exam.
As expected, there were no changes to the rules and after passing the first and second assessnts, it ans that the examinee has already passed the entrance exam.
Then, the third assessnt which is the mock tournant, would decide the final overall rankings of each student in every course.
Once the head examiner finished announcing the rules, the Colzen Academy entrance exam finally began.
What the two of them didn't expect was, that Maia would be the first one to be called.
"Examinee number 21, Maia Crowley, please proceed to training dummy number one for your first assessnt!"
After hearing that her na was called, Maia excitedly walked towards the designated training dummy.
With enthusiasm, she positioned herself in front of the training dummy while tightly gripping a short wooden dagger.
She then thrust the dagger into the dummy with all her might.
*DING*
"230 points!"
