Hearing the Void Dragon's unsettling voice and its fluency in human language, Shye's body instinctively trembled, as if responding to the natural order between a mortal human and a divine, pure-blood draconian.
This caused him to step back instinctively, unable to move forward as cold sweat ran down his temples and back.
'I'm cowering?' Shye thought inwardly with gritted teeth. His hands were indeed slightly shaking. 'All this even with my [Unfazed Heart] trait active…Dragons are sothing else…'
Shye knew that the first step to overcoming fear was acknowledging it. Hence, he took his ti.
'It's a good thing that this monstrosity is toying with us…'
Soon after, the mana communicator strapped on his waist finally rang. He was waiting for this!
From the earlier notification indicating he had earned 15 points, Shye knew that ten people from the WAA were observing him.
Although he didn't know their identities, he was certain that after witnessing the challenges facing their champion party, they would act to send reinforcents.
Sure enough, after tapping a particular button, a voice recording played.
"Crowley, mana communicator calls aren't going through, but fortunately, voice recordings are. Hold on for at least an hour—reinforcents are on the way."

Hearing the unfamiliar voice, a smile crept onto the corners of Shye's mouth.
He didn't know who that old man was. However, Shye was certain that the man was from the WAA.
'If we could hold on for at least an hour…' Shye thought inwardly, glancing at his party mbers. 'Rai Hou and I could probably survive for that long, as for the others…'
He stopped thinking about it. Those who are skilled enough and fated to survive will naturally survive.
With renewed vigor and enthusiasm about their situation, Shye finally blew away the fear shrouding his heart, gripping his greatsword and shield with a resolute expression.
"Hoh, survive for an hour, huh? Rather audacious of you to think you could do so against ." The Void Dragon said slowly with narrowed eyes, rather displeased that it was being taken lightly.
Due to this, Shye rembered that dragons were prideful creatures, inputting a risky idea in his head.
'Should I anger it more and exploit its pride?' He wondered, sweat trickling down his head.
The goal was to survive for an hour. If he angered the Void Dragon, it might go all out; thus, Shye was torn.
'Oops, almost forgot…I should at least do a quick attribute check…Appraisal!'

He had no ti to ticulously check the monstrous creature's skills. Hence, he could only settle for a quick check.

Sensing that Shye had used appraisal on it, ten purple magic circles ford in front of the Void Dragon's mouth, manifesting the wrath of the void.
Subsequently, one by one, enormous dark purple balls erged from the magic circles at different timings, flying towards Shye and the others nacingly.
The terrifying thing was that the orbs were completely undetectable, silent, hollow. If one couldn't see them, then one would be dood for sure.
"Everyone, protect yourselves!" Shye exclaid before dashing off to dodge the void spheres heading his way.
He wanted to cover for his party mbers.
However, against such terrifying, absolute power, it was impossible for him to take care of others. It was every man for himself.
Fortunately for Dalton, who had been severely injured by the dragon's earlier paw swipe, Mira's quick response with a [Greater Heal] allowed him to get back on his feet just in ti to defend himself.
After that, everyone used their escape and defense skills, barely surviving as wave after wave of void explosions, spanning seven diaters, erupted around them.
Mira and Walter teleported around, Rai Hou tumbled, slid, and sprinted, while Dalton dodged what he could and used his defense skills to block the rest.
It was utterly chaotic.
Unfortunately, not everyone was so fortunate. One of them, who had been quietly sneaking through the shadows, ended up extrely unlucky.
Walter unknowingly blinked at Freeze's location, drawing a void ball in their direction.
With [Stealth Lv.5] reducing movent speed by seventy percent, the Kreborian champion couldn't dodge the void blast in ti and was completely obliterated, leaving no trace behind.
In fact, none of them even realized he had already died as all of them assud that he was rely hiding in the shadows, looking for an opportune ti to strike.
"Tch, these guys would find it difficult to survive…" He muttered as he looked at his party mbers, who were all panting after just a single attack.
They would definitely die if he didn't do sothing.

"Heh, for a dragon, you're pretty weak, aren't you?"
A mocking voice echoed through the void dinsion they were battling in, drawing everyone's attention.
Monts later, the extermination party mbers recognized the voice, and most of them turned pale with fear as they realized their party leader had just insulted a prideful Void Dragon by calling it weak.
However, the fear gripping their hearts quickly dissipated as what happened next worked in their favor.
"You…You little brat…You dare call , Veidrax, weak?! I'll put you in your place!" The dragon raged, its wings spreading majestically as it pounced at Shye, monstrous maws wide open.
*BOOM!*
The purple void surface rippled as the enormous dragon hit nothing.
Shye, barely evading the unexpectedly swift attack, continued sprinting toward the Void Dragon's original location, hoping to find the core it was guarding.
Unfortunately, there was no core to be found; the area was simply a battleground for the extermination party and the Void Dragon.
'Tch, it wouldn't be that easy, huh?' He thought inwardly, turning around to look at the Void Dragon, who was shaking its head while standing up. 'At least, we're in a proper hunting formation now…'
"Hahaha! Are you actually a cross-eyed Void Dragon?! Why are you attacking as though there were two of ? Co! Weren't you gonna show how strong you are?"
