"Don't get complacent! Play the long ga!" Rai Hou exclaid, montarily turning his head to glance at the purple barrier behind him.
'You must win, Crowley.'
"Puhahk!"
Red blood scattered across the purple canvas, subtly hinting as to who the goddess of victory was smiling upon.
'Tch, this bastard is strong…no wonder that arrogant scout was defeated…' Shye mused.
If even he was struggling against the monster, then Koneko was probably easily overwheld within re seconds.
Still, it didn't an he had lost all hope of winning. He was just getting started.
The reason why he spat out blood was because he opted for a head-on clash to see how he would fare against the monster without using any abilities.
Naturally, the Voidos Nightstalker also wasn't using any abilities. It was a fair, head-on clash.
It was unfortunate that he lost.
However, everything was within his expectations so he rely shrugged it off his mind, eager to fight once more.
This was his first ti fighting an (S) ranked monstrous creature, after all.
"Again!" He barked, dashing forward once more, this ti, with a plan in mind.
"Hihi…human, stupid."
With a sneer of disdain, Shye slashed at the monstrous creature with both of his greatswords as its forearms transford into scythes.
The monstrous creature was all too happy to fight Shye head-on.
However, at the last mont, the young man suddenly shifted his body sidewards, still maintaining his slashing motion.
The Voidos Nightstalker didn't care about his small adjustnt.
It knew that it would be difficult to defeat Shye quickly anyway, hence, it was content with inflicting damage to Shye's internal organs through the force of their clashes.
The way he tilted his body was of no significance.
Or so the humanoid monster thought…
At the last mont, Shye's greatswords were suddenly enveloped by a dark purple aura, allowing it to pass through the Voidos Nightstalker's sharp scythes as though it was nothing but an illusion.
Caught off guard, the roaming boss slightly flinched as Adamance and Mithra passed through its neck.
'Appraisal!'

'Heh, got you.' Shye smirked, turning around to look down on the Voidos Nightstalker, who was kneeling after having its stamina significantly sapped.
"Arrogant human, die!"
Enraged, the roaming boss swiftly stood up and charged, causing the purple ground to ripple as if it were liquid.
Naturally, Shye did the sa. He had no plans of backing down.
The next mont, high-speed exchanges occurred.
Shye turned his skill, [Blades Of Despair], on and off depending on the situation, leaving the roaming boss confused and challenged.

Sotis it parried, sotis it dodged, sotis it was drained of energy, and other tis it successfully blocked Shye's attacks.
The fast-paced battle was rather chaotic at first sight.
However, one thing was for sure: Shye was the aggressor.
His unpredictable combat tactics forced the Voidos Nightstalker to focus on defense, at least until it could find a way to counter Shye's [Blades of Despair].
The young Valenzian champion hacked, slashed, and stabbed at the humanoid monster, his footwork as agile as a swallow, yet as aggressive as a honey badger.
In contrast, the monstrous creature, despite being in a precarious position, remained as serene as ever, its movents as solid as a mountain.
...As ti went on, the Voidos Nightstalker inevitably discerned Shye's subconscious attack patterns, enabling it to gradually slip in a few counterattacks until it could finally fight Shye toe-to-toe.
It didn't co without a cost, however, as a good chunk of its stamina was depleted before it was able to fight back.
'Appraisal!'
[Stamina]: 392/1,230
Now, it had to fight a bit conservatively.
A great advantage for Shye as the duel proceeded to the next phase: the Voidos Nightstalker's revenge.
For a monstrous creature, being suppressed by a human was an utter humiliation, especially for one of the (S) rank.
Hence, the humanoid monster was a bit overeager, looking impatiently for openings.
Then, as soon as it found an opening, the Voidos Nightstalker activated one of its skills, causing its scythes to glow a shade of scarlet as it slashed at Shye with vicious intent.
"Heh, you're so readable. In the end, you're rely a stupid monster, no match for a human in terms of intelligence." Shye mocked as his body was suddenly covered by a golden glow.
This was the work of his trusty [Stoic Lv.5] skill, allowing him to receive the incoming attack with seventy percent less damage.
The scarlet scythes, with their imnse cutting power, pierced deeply into Shye's left flank, causing a crimson fountain to once again stain the purple canvas red.
However, the wound was far from sufficient to claim his life.
Now, he was in a pri position to counterattack.
Shye slashed both greatswords at the Voidos Nightstalker's extended arm, unleashing [Power Slash Lv.5] with all three charges of [Boos]t.
His attack severed the monster's right arm from its body, causing it to roar in excruciating agony before quickly leaping back.
"Heh, not so fond of duels now, are you?" Shye mocked as he checked the [Fear] stacks he was inflicting on the monster using his first semi-passive skill, [Harrowing Aura Lv.5].
Since leveling it up to the maximum, the buildup of [Fear] stacks had accelerated exponentially, hence, he could now formulate a battle plan with it as the trump card.
Unlike before, where he had to fight and wait for at least forty minutes before he could utilize the accumulated stacks.
Shye's battle plan was to quickly double the stacks once they reached two hundred and fifty using his [Fallen] skills, and then to slay the monstrous creature while it was in a state of panic and fear.
However, he needed to buy himself two more minutes.
'It shouldn't be a problem considering that it only has one arm now…' He mused, staring murderously at the roaming boss.
He hadn't anticipated that his full arsenal would be so powerful that he could duel an (S) ranked monster—albeit one of the weakest in its rank—and defeat it convincingly.
'If I had my Nightfall Reaper, this thing wouldn't be standing…Well, no rush…two more minutes until its demise.'
Shye had learned his lesson and had no intention of fighting complacently.
He planned to take the remaining two minutes as seriously as he always did.
Unfortunately, he lost track of ti, not realizing that he had already been fighting the Voidos Nightstalker for over fifteen minutes.
As a result, his purple world tid out and shattered.
Promptly after, the humanoid monster disappeared into the void, staring murderously at Shye as it inwardly vowed to kill him.
"Tch, it got away…"
