"Hmm…everyone, I want to hear your thoughts."

Inside a white-thed luxurious hall, a group of old n sat across each other at a vast, oval blackwood table.

The old n watched six young adventurers through a holographic screen as they battled a horrifying Abyssal Drake and a certain humanoid void creature.

"I believe Shye Crowley is ready to beco a hero."

"Lord Belford, I recognize your desire for Valenzia to have its first hero. However, don't you think you're making this decision a bit too hastily? It gives the impression that you might be overzealous rather than thinking it through carefully."

"Barley, you dare call crazy?!"

Two old n, who were both mbers of the WAA's board of directors, were in a disagreent.

As it turned out, the directors from all ten regions were observing Shye and his party's progress, aning that most of them already knew what happened to Koneko.

Yet, none of them issued any orders to help the poor young woman.

…Belford, Valenzia's Head Director, believed that Shye's display was enough for him to earn the title of a hero ahead of ti.

However, the other director, Barley Grant from Krebori, was a bit biased against the Valenzians.

Thus, he expressed his opposition, aiming to leverage the twenty-four-year-old hero rule to hinder Valenzia's chances of catching up to their own 9th-ranked region too soon.

"Belford, Barley, stop bickering like children. It's unseemly for you both as directors." An elderly man with red hair, his right eye stitched shut and a cross-slash scar on his left cheek, spoke with unquestionable dignity and authority.

"Yes, Lord Eversong." The two quarreling directors spoke in unison, not daring to cross the Yon Augenn director, Hale Eversong.

Nodding in satisfaction, the head of the board of directors spoke again:

"Belford, I recognize the young man's potential and, as soone from Valenzia, he is indeed the most talented I've ever seen. I also believe his body is already capable of bearing a hero's crest." Hale said, bringing a wide smile to Belford's face.

"However, I also do believe that he needs to prove himself a bit more, especially since he would be Valenzia's first-ever hero. We need to see more of his moral values and courage which would surely be tested at the end of this dungeon."

After hearing the head of the board's words, Barley smiled triumphantly. On the other hand, Belford was downcast.

However, upon rembering what Shye showed them in the past, he rembered that the young man was the bringer of miracles.

Hence, he simply decided to shift his focus and continue watching the ongoing battle.

…It didn't take long for Shye to surprise the ten old n once more as courageous and arrogant words ca out of his mouth.

"Rai Hou, you guys can bring this heavily wounded Abyssal Drake on your own, correct?"

Hearing Shye's words, Rai Hou, who was facing the humanoid creature warily, couldn't help but glance at Shye.

"Yes, I can assu temporary leadership and the party can whittle down its remaining vitality." The Yon Augenn champion replied with a hint of understanding in his eyes.

He sohow knew what Shye was about to say next.

"Good. Do that, then. I shall face this sneaky rat alone."

"..."

Rai Hou was reluctant to agree to Shye's proposal.

It wasn't that he distrusted Shye; it was simply too dangerous to face the roaming boss alone.

The risk of what happened to one of their teammates happening to him was too great.

After all, the humanoid monstrous creature had effortlessly taken down Koneko, who was renowned for her dueling skills.

However, there was sothing about Shye that compelled him to believe.

To believe that Shye could lead the party out of the dangerous situation. Realizing this, Rai Hou chuckled to himself.

'Hahaha, isn't this guy practically a hero already with how dependable and charismatic he is?'

In the end, he chose to trust Shye.

"Alright. Focus on your battle against this humanoid creature and don't worry about us. We will definitely take down the drake."

"Alright, leave this rat to ."

After their conversation, Shye and Rai Hou swapped places, with the forr walking forward and the latter jumping back.

This confused the humanoid monstrous creature, causing it to tilt its head to the side.

'Appraisal!'

Shye knew he didn't have much ti to read the humanoid monstrous creature's appraisal window.

Hence, he focused on the most important parts such as the creature's rank, its type, and its attributes.

'Hoh, this rat is an (S) class creature? It's pretty weak for its rank, though, probably a bottom feeder amongst (S) ranks…' Shye mused smiling confidently at the Voidos Nightstalker.

"Human…want, die?"

"Heh, how laughable. Even one of my tad creatures speaks more fluently than you. I heard you're a fan of duels. Let's have one, then."

Imdiately after talking down to the roaming boss and annoying it, a purple world extended from Shye's feet, enveloping both him and the Voidos Nightstalker.

"M-Mister Crowley!" Mira exclaid anxiously as she saw the purple domain engulf both Shye and the humanoid monster.

"Focus, Mira! That domain belongs to Crowley, so he should have the advantage."

Hearing Rai Hou's words, the worried priestess cald down, focusing once more on the wounded Abyssal Drake.

anwhile, inside the purple world, the Voidos Nightstalker looked around, amused.

The rotating black swords above them captured its attention.

Shortly after, it raised its right arm, attempting to use a skill to blast Shye to smithereens.

Unfortunately for the monster, nothing happened.

This allowed it, however, to learn that it couldn't use mana inside Shye's domain.

The Voidos Nightstalker didn't panic, though. It had lots of skills that didn't require it to use mana.

Hence, it rely looked at Shye with intrigue, smiling eerily.

"Human…interesting…"

"Heh, co, monster."
