Under the azure skies of Adthiopia, two youngsters, one with ashen hair and the other with blue hair, strolled leisurely along a well-trodden path while chatting.
These two were naturally Shye and Kiin, who were now headed towards the Magna Death Zone to subdue another (S-) ranked creature: the Void Arachne.
The creature had the lower body of a spider and the upper body of a human.
Although the hair color of each Void Arachne varied, their eyes were uniformly pitch black, giving them an extrely sinister appearance.
This was further intensified by their pale white skin and the four bendable spikes protruding from their backs, resembling bone wings.
The two of them were still quite far from the Magna Death Zone, though.
Kiin was already eager to test his ttle against (S-) ranked creatures and compare his prowess against Siegfried.
He refused to believe that his close friend and rival, Siegfried, could successfully hunt (S-) ranked creatures with Shye while he couldn't.
"Hey, Shye, I heard you managed to summon a king-class familiar."
"Hmm? Yeah, why?"
"Wouldn't it be faster if we rode it towards our destination? Also, I…kinda wanna see what it looks like."
"Hmm... I can show you what she looks like, but she's quite prideful, and I doubt she would let you ride her. Besides, I wouldn't let her intervene in our battle against the Void Arachne, as we wouldn't improve if she helped us."
"Hoh... She must be pretty strong then. I kind of want to see her in action, but I get your point. Fine, just seeing her is enough."
Shye nodded satisfactorily after hearing Kiin agree, raising his right arm soon after.
'Zeth, can you please show your majestic self to my friend?'
'Sure, master. Since he has an inkling of how majestic and beautiful I am, I shall indulge him this one ti.'
The black bracelet on Shye's wrist suddenly transford into a srizing black mare, with blue flas flickering on its tail, horns, and hooves.
Just the sight of her sent shivers down Kiin's spine.
This was the first ti he saw a gorgeous yet terrifying creature.
"S-She's beautiful…" the blue-haired young man muttered in admiration.
Pleased by her master's friend's reaction, Zeth decided to give Kiin a bit of a show.
She pretended to gallop in a circle, accentuating her magnificently built equine physique, before returning to Shye's wrist as a black bracelet.
"Ahh, crap, now I'm a bit envious!"
"Hahaha! She's beautiful, isn't she?"
'Master, this blue-haired young man isn't so bad. He shouldn't be the mole…'
Shye almost stumbled while walking after hearing Zeth's words.
She's intelligent, yet when soone praises her, she seems to imdiately favor that person, even speaking a few good words for Kiin.
'Hahaha, you're quite the sucker for praises aren't you, Zeth?'
'Hmm? What do you an, master? I'm just thinking that soone who appreciates my beauty can't be that bad…'
'Hahaha, well, I hope he isn't a mole too... sigh... if only none of them were…' Shye sighed inwardly, feeling a sense of loneliness.

anwhile, as Shye and Kiin made their way toward the Magna Death Zone, another duo had already arrived at a different Death Zone, one closer to Valenzia City.
"Hey, craz– Miss Kusanagi, can you please slow down? Aren't you a scout? Why are you moving so recklessly?" Siegfried asked with a hint of frustration.
Although the young woman was indeed skilled and had given him a tough fight during their duel two years ago at the Adventurer Academy Competition, her current reckless actions were undoubtedly dragging him down.
After all, as professional adventurers, their priority should be both their own safety and that of their teammates.
"S-Shut up! Don't tell how to do my job! I have an active detection skill, so just follow and stay back! Don't co any closer!"
"Sigh…but it would be unsa–"
Siegfried's words were interrupted when the wild brown-haired woman suddenly stopped, dashed toward the nearby shrubbery, and motioned for him to follow quickly.
Her sudden actions slightly relieved Siegfried's heart.
As long as she remained clear-headed despite her evident discomfort with the situation, Siegfried could at least trust her to watch his back.
Since the shrubbery was a bit small for two people, Siegfried had to lean in close to Lesurii, his handso face nearly brushing against her slim shoulder and right cheek as he peered out to see what was happening.
For soone who ca from a conservative household, the current situation was rather…perilous.
Lesurii wanted to scream out loud and push Siegfried away.
However, she understood that if she did that, there was a high chance that he would die, considering that the creature she detected was probably of the (S) rank.
She was sure that it wasn't their target. Experience new tales on empire
As a result, she had no choice but to behave and endure the uncomfortable position.
She had never been so close to a man before.
Siegfried, despite being a rather crazy guy himself when it ca to combat, was a guy who was fond of cleanliness.
Not only did he enjoy cleaning rooms that he would use for an extended period, but he was also ticulous about hygiene, regularly bathing and ensuring his body never emitted an unpleasant odor.
Such a guy…was naturally liked by won, especially conservative ones.
Not to ntion, Siegfried was quite a handso young man.
A few monts later, an (S) ranked monstrous creature resembling a massive tiger appeared, passing through their location as it sniffed around in search of food.
Naturally, none of the two dared to make a move.
This caused Siegfried's pleasant yet masculine scent to reach Lesurii's nose, making her cast a brief glance toward the source of the likable sll.
The first thing she saw was naturally Siegfried's handso face, his sharp jawlines, and his pleasingly muscular neck and shoulders, leaving her slightly blushing.
Despite her rather vicious mouth, she had the heart of an innocent young maiden looking for her prince charming, and of course, Siegfried, who was looking and slling really nice, left a deep impression on her.
'H-Hmph…h-he's not that bad, I suppose…'
