"W-We greet the division leader!" Bernie and Orpha exclaid as they rushed towards Shye.
They were simply too happy.
However, recalling that he might only be returning to surrender his license, the nervous expressions on the faces of the two returned.
"Hmm? Bernie, Orpha, why do you look so distressed? Ahh…is this about my special quest?"
"Y-Yes, so…division leader, did yo–"
"Hahahaha! I'm the mighty division leader of the Flashy Ravens Rising, aren't I? Of course, I succeeded!"
Hearing Shye's words, his two subordinates almost wanted to jump up in utter delight.
They've known Shye for only a short ti, however, they knew that he was not soone who spoke empty words.
[Congratulations! You've earned 2,500 points!]
'Hmm? Didn't I already say that I succeeded? Why did I earn so little?' Shye pondered as he looked around, finally realizing why his point earnings were ager. 'Hoh, so most of them believe I'm rely talking crap, huh? Fine.'
"Return to the division lounge and tell them that I'm back and that we'll have a eting later."
"Y-Yes, division leader!"
After watching his subordinates walk away for a few seconds, Shye subtly glanced at the lobby, a shadow of a smile erging on the corners of his mouth.
Naturally, as he started to walk towards the rewards desk, lots of his guildmates subtly followed to eavesdrop.
If the guild headquarters weren't so ridiculously tall and vast, it would be way too obvious that many people were interested in the outco of his attempt at the special quest.
It was understandable, though.
After all, not a single youngster had succeeded in completing the special quest, and it would be history in the making not only for their guild but for the entire region if Shye was indeed the first one to have done so.
Many confident youngsters, mostly from Valenzia's top ten guilds, have attempted to challenge the Abomination Lord Dungeon.
However, all of them either perished or saw their adventuring careers co to an end.
Thus, it was simply a bit hard for the adventurers of a re sixteenth-ranked guild to believe that the one who would make history was a rookie from their guild.
Even the rewards receptionist Shye was approaching felt a bit nervous despite being a veteran of seven years at her job.
This was her first ti being approached for the regional special quest completion, after all, and due to nervousness, she made a mistake and spoke first.
"H-Hello, Sir Crowley, are you here for the special quest c-c-completion?"
"Ah…yes, Receptionist…Aria, if I'm not mistaken?"
"A-Ahh! Yes, I apologize for not introducing myself. T-Then, may I please see the special quest completion badge?"
By this ti, gulps sounded all over the headquarters as everyone's anxious ears and eyes tuned in to the rewards desk.
Even a few adamantite-ranked adventurers glanced down from their designated floors to see if Shye could turn in a special quest completion badge or if he was rely putting on a show and would end up surrendering his adventurer license for revocation while whispering about his actual failure to the rewards receptionist.
So scout-class adventurers even activated skills that would enhance their hearing multiple tis to ensure that Shye wouldn't be able to cheat his way out of a humiliating situation.
'Heh, watch and listen all you want!'
"Here, Receptionist Aria," Shye said as he retrieved the special quest completion badge handed to him by the guard chief.
[Congratulations! You've earned 5,600 points!]
'Hmm? There are still people who aren't convinced? Maybe they're doubting the authenticity of my badge?' Shye consoled himself, as he waited for Aria, whose hands were slightly shaky, to confirm for him.
This was her first ti processing a special quest completion badge, and she didn't want to lose her job by rewarding Shye with 10,000 guild contribution points and 10,000 gold coins from the guild treasury for a fake badge.
After all, although the 10,000 guild contribution points weren't an issue, she couldn't pay off 10,000 gold coins even if she worked for the guild her entire life.
Therefore, she was ticulous in checking the key details of the badge using a photo provided by the guild.
A few minutes later, she took a deep breath, shifting her attention to Shye shortly after.
"Congratulations on completing the special quest, Sir Crowley! Ten thousand guild contribution points have been credited to your adventurer account and division. Additionally, here is your reward of ten thousand gold coins. As for the WAA's official statent, we will inform you in two weeks once it arrives. Again, thank you for your efforts and contribution to the guild! Have a nice day."
Hearing Aria's words, the guildsn were stunned for a few monts before erupting into a huge commotion.
[Congratulations! You've earned 12,893 points!]
"H-Holy shit, he actually did it?"
"D-Damn, we just witnessed history right there!"
"A-Are we actually in the presence of a future hero of the region?"
As a result, more and more people were tempted to join Shye's division.
Unfortunately for them, over the past month, word spread about the redeemable rewards offered by Shye's division.
As a result, although most applicants were rejected for having impure motives, they still reached the one-hundred-mber limit and could not accept more mbers until the division upgraded to a two-star division.
Still, most of them vowed to queue up and apply as soon as his division began recruiting again.
Shye's achievents and future were simply too promising for them to ignore.
anwhile, the satisfied division leader was already on his way to his division's lounge—the only place in this highly competitive city where he felt oddly at ho.
'Sigh…I hope Shirley and the others arrive soon…'
He wanted to reunite with his girlfriend and his Colzen buddies as soon as possible.

However, he also understood that although they were all talented—way more than him if he didn't have the system, it would take ti for them to grow.
For now, his focus was on developing the division into a safe yet effective environnt where his little sister, lover, and friends could reach their peak potential as quickly as possible.
Who knows? Maybe he could ask them for help with his personal problems in the future.
