On the way back to Crimson Hill Villa, Jasper Sinclair kept sneezing.

As soon as he stepped inside, Uncle Kevin noticed sothing was wrong and quickly asked, "Mr. Sinclair, could you be catching a cold?"

"Maybe."

He had been standing in the cold wind by the roadside for quite so ti tonight; even soone in good health couldn’t endure it.

In a year, people always catch a couple of serious illnesses to call it a full year.

Just like that, on the day of the Major Cold solar term, Jasper Sinclair welcod his first serious illness.

"Uncle Kevin, help a bit."

Jasper Sinclair’s steps were unsteady, feeling as if his legs no longer belonged to him.

Uncle Kevin helped him to the sofa and poured a glass of warm water, "I’ll go get the thermoter."

While Uncle Kevin went to fetch the dical kit, Jasper Sinclair drank half a glass of warm water, bringing a slight sense of warmth back to his body.

He had a habit of exercising, so even when sick, it usually wasn’t too severe.

This ti, he had truly underestimated it.

The thermoter reading was as high as 39.7 degrees, nearly 40 degrees.

Uncle Kevin was startled and imdiately called the family doctor.

The commotion downstairs alard Nora Northwood. As she ca down the stairs, she happened to hear Uncle Kevin asking, "Should we inform Madam?"

"No need to tell Nora, let her rest well."

Seeing the doctor standing to the side made Nora Northwood inexplicably nervous.

Her first reaction was that Jasper Sinclair had caught the sa germs she had.

Nora Northwood hurried down and questioned Jasper Sinclair, "What are you not telling ?"

Perhaps due to anxiety, her tone didn’t sound very friendly.

Uncle Kevin spoke up to smooth things over, "Mr. Sinclair has a high fever and doesn’t want to disturb your rest."

Nora Northwood was taken aback.

A high fever?

She didn’t believe Uncle Kevin’s answer and continued to ask the man on the sofa, "Is it just a high fever?"

"Nora, it’s just a high fever, don’t worry."

Seeing that the dicine the doctor gave Jasper Sinclair was indeed for treating a regular fever, she was finally relieved.

She was nearly scared out of her wits!

The doctor, who had been standing there for quite so ti, finally had a chance to speak, "Mr. Sinclair, the fever-reducing dicine only works for three to four hours. If the fever returns in the second half of the night, you can take it again. I recomnd going to the hospital for a blood test in the morning."

"Why do a blood test?" The person asking was Nora Northwood.

Her emotions were, one could say, even more intense than the patient’s own.

Jasper Sinclair pulled her back, soothingly patting her shoulder.

The doctor didn’t understand why Nora Northwood was so agitated, so he could only carefully explain, "Recently, there’s been a severe outbreak of mycoplasma infections and viral infections. Only a blood test can accurately diagnose the cause of the high fever."

After explaining, Jasper Sinclair waved the doctor away, "Go and rest."

Worried that his illness might spread to Nora Northwood, he decided they would sleep in separate rooms for a few days.

Nora Northwood was reluctant but couldn’t resist Jasper Sinclair giving her a logical explanation.

For her health and for the baby in her belly, they had to sleep in separate rooms.

Of course, it also allowed Jasper Sinclair to do more things.

He opened an app on his phone, and after clicking on a certain character, within a minute, he received a phone call.

The call displayed a thirteen-digit number, with no location, as if the number appeared out of nowhere.

"How’s the investigation progressing?"

"Ongoing tracking. In the past half month, Ms. Rachel Woodward did et with Mr. Jenson Sinclair a few tis."
