The tassel’s crystal light reflected on Nora Northwood, casting a faint gleam that accentuated her elegance and nobility.

At the banquet.

Finnian Lawrence moved through the crowd, eloquently discussing various topics.

Compared to his ease, Nora appeared particularly bored, finding an unobtrusive spot.

The beauty in a daze, sitting there doing nothing, still looked exceptionally pleasing to the eye.

Others started discussing this year’s fragrance trends, and Nora’s ears perked up, her body unconsciously leaning toward them.

Just like clothing brands, there’s a general trend each year—so say botanical scents will dominate this year, while others argue it’s fruity and sweet fragrances.

In conclusion, there were varied opinions.

Soone tried to pry so information about the Lawrence family from Finnian, but he was tight-lipped, only revealing so harmless facts.

Unable to get anything from him, they turned their attention to Nora.

Soon, the area around Nora beca lively, "It’s rare to see soone like Miss Northwood who suits a qipao so well, she looks quite a match with Young Mr. Lawrence."

Nora smiled and put down her dessert to clarify, "There’s a misunderstanding; Young Mr. Lawrence and I are just friends."

These people only focused on fragrance industry events, lacking knowledge about the business circle, therefore unaware she was the wife of The Sinclair Group’s president.

Nora thought calmly, how could these people pair them up like that, distractedly, missing parts of the conversation.

Not far away, Finnian noticed the commotion from her direction and ca over.

"Nora, are you feeling sleepy? We have an early flight tomorrow, why not head back early tonight?"

A few brief words, using Nora’s deanor to express his own intent.

In truth, Finnian found the place uninteresting.

"Mr. Sinclair is picking up, we’re headed the sa way, let’s go together."

With the crumbling situation, others rely followed suit and said their goodbyes.

After they left, a group whispered and discussed: "Could the Mr. Sinclair Nora ntioned be her husband?"

"She looks like she’s in her twenties. Do young people today get married so early..."

Midway through the banquet.

The air outside was much cooler, Finnian asked, "Is President Sinclair picking you up?"

"He’s waiting in the parking lot; otherwise, do you think I’m just teasing you?"

"I thought you caught my drift, these banquets are really dull."

"Indeed, I must admit, Finnian, your tactic of borrowing soone else’s knife was quite clever."

"You’re too kind, I need to see a friend, so I won’t accompany you to the parking lot."

Nora found Jasper Sinclair’s car, and as the car door closed, the scent from her hair drifted into the man’s nose.

"Why did you co out early?"

"A bit boring, Finnian found a suitable reason, so we left together." As she spoke, she checked her makeup in the car’s front mirror.

The scent from her perfu mixed with the powder created a unique fragrance, unbeknownst to Nora.

"I’ll take you for dinner. Do you want to go ho tonight or tomorrow morning? There are still two convenient flights tonight."

Nora sensed from Jasper’s question his desire to head back, so she agreed, "There’s nothing else for here, better to go ho tonight, it’s more comfortable there."

She was really not accustod to the high pillows in hotels.

Nora smacked her lips, recalling the sweet cream she had just tasted—the flavor still lingering in her mouth.
