The two exchanged a few intimate words until Finnian Lawrence approached. Only then did Nora Northwood, her face flushed, release herself from Jasper Sinclair’s embrace.

"Sorry, Finnian, to let you see such a sight."

Finnian Lawrence smiled lightly, "It’s been a long ti, President Sinclair."

"These past few days, thanks to your care," Jasper Sinclair said words of gratitude, but his deanor was indifferent.

He regarded Finnian Lawrence as a rival in love, naturally unable to show a good face.

Yet, Nora made a move that pierced his heart: "Finnian, why don’t you join us for dinner?"

"I’m just a loner, won’t intrude in your lives. Rember to be on ti for the eting tomorrow at eight in the morning."

"Alright."

They bid farewell and left in different directions.

The next day, Jasper Sinclair personally accompanied Nora Northwood to the venue, coincidentally running into a partner.

"President Sinclair, I didn’t expect to et you here!"

Jasper Sinclair didn’t have a deep impression of this person, just a few encounters at most.

He nodded, his movents exuding a layer of nobility.

The person saw Jasper Sinclair staring straight in Nora Northwood’s direction, assud he had taken a liking to the young girl, and muttered, "The young girl was brought by Finnian Lawrence, lacking in experience, not much knowledge. If you want to make friends, perhaps..."

Before she could finish her words, Jasper Sinclair interrupted, "Our Nora is still young, here to learn specifically. Although she may not match others professionally, her intentions are pure."

This ti, it was the woman’s turn to be stunned.

Our Nora?

Imdiately, she apologized repeatedly, saying, "I’m sorry, President Sinclair, I didn’t recognize Miss Northwood as a mber of the Sinclair family due to my ignorance."

She was filled with fear, unaware of the relationship between Jasper Sinclair and Nora Northwood.

She pondered again, wondering what kind of relationship they had; there seed to be quite an age gap.

"Nora is modest and usually doesn’t flaunt her talents, consistently focusing on her studies."

Jasper Sinclair’s implied ssage: You’re the one lacking knowledge!

"Yes, Miss Northwood was the most diligent person in yesterday afternoon’s session."

"To avoid being labeled inexperienced next ti," Jasper Sinclair’s tone was cold, like walking on thin ice.

The woman held tightly onto her phone, almost squeezing it out of shape, her mind racing on how to salvage the words she had uttered.

Jasper Sinclair prepared to leave, and before departing, he left a statent: "This year’s contract might not be renewed."

The latter’s pupils trembled; if the company’s partners knew it was her fault that the contract ended... a single mouthful of spit from one person could drown her.

After Jasper Sinclair left, the woman was even more panic-stricken.

Offending Jasper Sinclair was equivalent to offending the entire financial circle, sothing she was incapable of enduring.

Inside the venue.

Nora Northwood was completely unaware of what had just happened; she was listening to a scholar’s lecture.

The sky and water touched, blue reflecting blue.

The three-day seminar concluded, and the organizers arranged a dinner event at a nearby mansion for everyone to relax.

Simply put, it was a socializing occasion in disguise.

Everyone had gained knowledge from different perspectives through the seminar, and the dinner was unavoidable.

As night fell.

The mansion had thirteen floors, each one illuminated brightly, splendidly shining, and shadows bustled about.

Nora Northwood hadn’t spent much effort on dressing up, only picked a well-fitting cheongsam from a store.

The dress was made of light pink silk with several large blossoms of Chinese begonia adorning the hem.
