Because of this, Mi Jing is always most concerned about Mi Wan’s matters.

"That’s great! When you make your coback, you have to drag that bastard Song Guotao down from the chief lawyer position and trample him underfoot!" Upon hearing that Mi Wan planned to return to the workforce, Mi Jing was ecstatic.

With Mi Wan’s ability, two or three Song Guotaos wouldn’t be a match.

Although Mi Wan had been a housewife for several years, she wasn’t unaware of the outside world. It’s fair to say that much of Song Guotao’s current success was due to Mi Wan’s invaluable support. Not only Mi Jing knew this, but the entire legal community did as well.

Seeing Mi Jing’s gritted teeth, Mi Wan couldn’t help but find it amusing, "I don’t need to drag him down; whether he can hold onto that position is a question itself!"

As the saying goes, the higher you are, the colder it gets. Sitting in that position ans all your opponents are extraordinarily talented. Although Song Guotao was capable, many were more so.

The sisters sat on the grass chatting until familiar calls from upstairs brought them ho for dinner.

In the evening, the last rays of the setting sun enveloped the entire city. It was the quietest and most beautiful ti at the coffee shop. But no matter how beautiful a view is, if you’ve seen it too often, it becos dull. Li Bao’er wasn’t like Mi Jing; she didn’t have much of an artistic sensibility, so once sothing lost its novelty, she would lose interest.

But Mi Jing was different. No matter how many tis the setting sun shone through the glass window, she always admired it or focused intently on drawing what she considered beautiful scenes.

After finishing a movie, Li Bao’er turned to look at Mi Jing next to her, seeing she was still engrossed in her drawing and couldn’t help but tease, "How many tis are you going to draw the sa scene?"

"The characters are different!" Mi Jing retorted without looking up, still sketching the expressions on the paper.

Actually, Mi Jing sotis enjoyed sitting at the counter watching the custors because they each carried different stories. While Li Bao’er might think everything she drew was almost the sa, the reality was that every character had a unique story even in a similar setting.

"Yeah! Only the characters are different!"

"..."

Mi Jing didn’t respond to Li Bao’er and focused all her attention on her drawing.

Sigh, sotis their tastes were just on different levels! Li Bao’er sighed internally, turning her gaze to the cars speeding by outside, feeling bored.

"Oh my god! A Rolls-Royce!" Li Bao’er exclaid excitedly, seeing the silver car parked at the shop’s entrance. She quickly nudged Mi Jing’s shoulder, "Jing, look! A Rolls-Royce! We’ve got a distinguished guest."

As she spoke, Li Bao’er imagined a pile of red yuan notes fluttering before her eyes and couldn’t contain her excitent.

Rolls-Royce?

Shen Lingxing?

The first person Mi Jing thought of upon hearing Rolls-Royce was Shen Lingxing. Besides him, she couldn’t think of anyone else who would park such an expensive car in front of their budget coffee shop.

Compared to Li Bao’er’s excitent, Mi Jing was calm and uninterested in seeing who it was, her mind still on her drawing.

Thanks to Li Bao’er’s nudge, a nearly finished drawing now had a long black line. Mi Jing looked up at her in displeasure, but the completely oblivious and overexcited Li Bao’er didn’t realize she almost ruined Mi Jing’s drawing. She fixed her gaze outside, not disappointed at all when she saw it was Shen Lingxing stepping out of the car. Instead, her eyes glowed with little red hearts as she stared at his tall figure for several seconds. Then she reluctantly looked away and reminded Mi Jing, "Your husband’s here. Make sure he treats us. If we can’t attend your wedding, he should at least treat us to a al, right?"

"Got it! You’ve said this five tis already. Adding this, it’s the sixth. How could I forget?" Mi Jing rolled her eyes at Li Bao’er, snapped her sketchbook shut, and started packing up.

How many tis has it been?

Li Bao’er counted on her fingers and said, "Anyway, the al is a must. Arrange it soon."

"That might be a bit difficult!" Mi Jing packed her things into her bag and continued, "We have to wait for Ruanruan to co over from Cili, so it won’t be quick."

As she finished speaking, Shen Lingxing had already walked over. Seeing his handso face approaching, the corners of Li Bao’er’s mouth almost reached her ears. She cheerfully introduced herself to Shen Lingxing, "Hi! I’m Jing’s good friend, Li Bao’er."

"Hello, Miss Li."

Shen Lingxing shook Li Bao’er’s hand with a polite smile and introduced himself, "I’m Shen Lingxing."

"Hehe, pleased to et you."

Finally able to shake hands with the handso guy she admired for so long, Li Bao’r was overjoyed and giggled, "Jing often talks about you, always saying you’re good and especially good to her."

Hearing this, Mi Jing wished she had blocked Li Bao’er’s mouth earlier. Clearly, it was Bao’er who always pestered her with questions, and now it sounded like she constantly talked about Shen Lingxing!

Seeing the familiar infatuated smile on Li Bao’er’s face, Mi Jing once again understood what it ant to have poor taste in friends! But considering Shen Lingxing was present, she couldn’t bla Li Bao’er and could only say with a smile to Shen Lingxing, "I have sothing to do. Can you wait outside for a bit? I’ll be out soon."

"Sure."

Seeing through Mi Jing’s intent to send him away, Shen Lingxing didn’t mind and agreed readily. After politely saying goodbye to Li Bao’er, he turned and walked out.

"Wow, still so handso, never gets old!" Li Bao’er sighed infatuatedly, watching Shen Lingxing’s receding figure.

Enough is enough!

Mi Jing rolled her eyes and complained, "Li Bao’er, you can swoon all you want, but stop saying random things, okay?"

"I’m just looking out for you!" Li Bao’er blinked innocently, then added seriously, "A high-quality guy like that, if you don’t hold on tight, you might lose him to so vixen!"

"These days, those vixens are everywhere. How can I guard against them all?" Mi Jing pulled a long face and stared at Li Bao’er, "I’m warning you, if you dare spout nonsense again, I’ll tape your mouth shut!"

"How did I spout nonsense?" Li Bao’er felt wronged, "Did I say anything wrong? Your husband’s character is bad, and he’s not good to you?"

Li Bao’er didn’t have to hear it from Mi Jing herself to know that Shen Lingxing treated Mi Jing well; she could tell just from the staff’s gossip and envy. If a man didn’t care about a woman, would he often pick her up in person? Besides, Mi Jing wasn’t unable to drive.
