"Can you bring these bags to my cab?" I pointed my bags to the maid.
"Sure mam", she said and brought all of my necessities to the cab which was waiting outside. I’m kind of happy as well as a bit nervous, but it still feels like an adventure.
From the mont I ca here he has been too caring. He has been too caring for to think anything else about them but now it is a bit different. It is a bit different that it started tingling my body with excitent.
"Mam, are you sure you have inford sir?" she asked . It is actually the fifth ti she asked this but still I answered her, "Rest assured everything is ok."
I said and sat inside the cab and went toward the airport.
I didn’t did anything special in the airport but just checked out and sat in my seat which my boss had already prepared. Yeah it was comfy while the air hostages were quite helpful to on my journey.
In just a few hours I landed in the city where I work , but I always ended up doing my job from ho. Maybe this is the third or fourth ti I have co here in my five years of job journey.
"I have reached", i let out my phone and inford my boss .
"Ok i ’m sending a car for you. Be there", he said while in just less than fifteen minutes a car ca to pick up at my hotel. Today was my day off because the actual work is going to get done tomorrow.
I thought of calling him to inform yeah i have reached but I thought of acting and waiting for him to call but I never realized waiting for him to call made so freaking sleepy and when I got up from my bed and checked the ti it was morning seven o clock. I hurried to my phone in case he called but I didn’t get to hear but to my disappointnt there were no calls from him but it was a ssage from my colleagues to inform that the eting is going to take place at eleven o’clock so i have to reach there before ten thirty.
I slapped myself and prepared myself to look fresh still my feelings were roaming his thoughts. So of my feelings were telling it is ok. So of my feelings were telling it is only my mood swings which happened because of pregnancy and so of my feelings warning for no reason.
"Am I being skeptical?" I asked looking in the mirror but got no answer.
I again ignored my thoughts and got ready for office. I already ordered my breakfast calling room service which was maple syrup pancakes and milkshakes which were too sweet as i like . Still my spicy cravings were not stopping.
"I think i will eat so indian dishes for lunch", i muttered to myself and went outside.
My office already sent a car which was again a ti saved work for . But as i reached there all ca to and gave a hug. I know I never ca here but I didn’t know it all like so freaking much, making my eyes teary.
"Chloe, you finally decided to return here?" a girl asked. I actually am so bad with nas so i don’t rember quite as well.
"She didn’t return. Can’t you see how she is? She is pregnant but there are so errors in the files which were prepared for the etings so she has to co in ergency", one of the guys from behind answered for .
"Thanks", I muttered looking at him.
He didn’t say but smiled and left.
I soon entered the eting room where everything was set but I just had to do my work in less than fifteen minutes. There were so inking errors in the files while there are so parts where my equations were ssed up. I don’t know why but yeah it sure needed to co here. I don’t think I will be able to figure it out if they send at ho.
"Chloe, you are a huge help to us", my boss sighed in relief but i can’t say how much it angered when he said in a rude tone that i had to co.
"It is ok,’’ I said.
I tried to sneak from there but again my colleagues surrounded and said, "Where are you going?"
"I have to catch my flight." I know I thought it would take two days but if my work here is done then I should check out now in an early flight.
"No you can’t", they stopped .
"Why?"
"Because Christmas is just around the corner and now that you finally ca here we just can’t let you go like this." they said.
"But you can see my situation right?"
"Yeah we do that is what I’m saying. Just be with us now and go ho tomorrow or I will book tickets for your night plane which you decided before." that girl said.
Yeah I do think of returning at night and as I said Jas I will be in two days and this is the second day so i ’m sure he will co fetch . I started giggling on my own with happiness building inside but I didn’t explain much.
"Oh ok", i agreed.
As the office hours ended they took to a nearby pub. Everywhere I roam my eyes I can see wine, beer, shots, whisky glasses clashing with each other making want to have too but they didn’t let . They stopped as if I was a kid.
I sulked in front of them but they handed a bottle of orange juice as if they were teasing .
"No, Chloe. We can’t take the chance handing you over a beer can."
"What if you get completely wasted and sothing happens to you? You think your husband will let us live? So no one going to take the chance.`` She repeated the sa but I felt empty. Still I kept on checking my hand watch. Clock ticking but I saw no sign of him in the place I was waiting. I checked my phone but there were zero calls.
"Ok Chloe we are leaving. We have got you a cab so you go safely. Let’s et again so other ti after your delivery", she said and left.
I could see the cab in front of but I didn’t take it.
"Are you taking or not?" the driver asked.
"No, you can leave. Soone is coming to pick up", I said while he left.
I checked my clock again but this ti it is already eight. Cold breeze started making my body feel cold as ice but I still waited. Snow started falling so much making unable to move my finger.
I again checked the ti and this ti it was already ten. I lose all my hope.
"He didn’t ca."
"He never intended to co."
I kept on muttering to myself when an old lady ca from the sa pub and asked , "The snow is falling too much so stay here for tonight and you can leave the next morning."
She insisted a lot. I ended up taking a room there that night. But the disappointing feelings never took the na to make feel hurt. The entire night I kept on checking my phone again and again and again but there were not a single fake call as well but it was so blank making think as if my phone broke.
Next morning
"Thanks for letting stay here last night", I said.
"It is ok. I saw you are going to freeze so I invited you in. too much cold is not good for your body nor your baby so you should take care", she advised like my dad which made smile and hug her like a relative.
After doing all the work I took my morning flight and landed in my place.
My facial expressions changed that mont I crossed the entrance and entered my house while I saw Jas sitting on the couch sipping his coffee as if nothing happened.
"Chloe, you have returned?"
"Let take your suitcase." he tried to take but i slid my hands to the other side.
"Eli, take my bags to my room", I said and started walking toward my room. He again ca from behind and asked, "What happened? Did sothing happen to you? Are you feeling sick? Should we go to the hospital?" here he goes with all the conversation which he didn’t do for two days. He didn’t even bother to ssage if I reached or not.
"Chloe", he placed his hand on my shoulder.
"Don’t. touch. ", i glared right into him which made him lose his grip on .
