Chapter 563: Mindworm
As Charles and others stepped into the yard, Charles turned his gaze towards Oliver and spoke.
"Oliver, stay outside and notify us if any soldier from the security departnt arrives."
"Yes, My Lord." Oliver nodded his head, turned around, and quietly walked back to the carriage.
'What about him?' Jessie glanced at Marvin and asked telepathically.
'Marvin has to co with us. I have a suspicion that soone is watching our every movent through his eyes.' Charles spoke as he moved closer to the front porch.
'Soone is controlling him? If so, why aren't you killing him?' Jessie's face turned stiff. She knew how dangerous these mind-controlling spells were and felt warier inside.
On the other hand, Charles shook his head and answered.
'It won't solve the root problem. I want to know who is spying on us. We can also learn more about Arayn by bringing Marvin inside. If Secret Witch is smart and powerful like everyone says, she will notice every anomaly and might reveal the culprit's na.'
'Right!'
Jessie nodded in understanding, then thought of sothing and asked.
'But what if the one spying on us is Fate Professor?'
'I have already checked it. If Marvin were controlled by Fate Professor or any of his subordinates, we would have t a lot of trouble on Dew Street itself. It's a completely new person.'
In truth, he had been stealing so mories of Fate Professor from ti to ti through his 'Purple Word' spell and knew what the other party was doing.

As Genesis spoke in Charles's mind, Secret Witch Sylvia walked into the reception room, moved towards the nearby Lawson Sofa, and sat comfortably on it.
Then, she raised her hand, pointed her finger towards the opposite chesterfield sofa and chairs, and spoke.
"Please take a seat, Guests."
"Are you Arayn?" Jessie sat down on the sofa and went straight to the point.
Charles also sat next to Jessie and waited for the Secret Witch's answer.
"Hooooooo!"
anwhile, the black owl suddenly flew from the second floor while hooting, arrived above Secret Witch, and slowly landed on her shoulder.
anwhile, the Secret Witch raised her hand, stroked the owl's head, and answered.
"I'm Sylvia. She is the one you are looking for."
'This strange Owl is Arayn?'
Charles shifted his gaze towards the black owl and stared at it in silence.
"Arayn? Why do I feel your na appears similar to Goddess Nyara's na?" He frowned a bit and soon shook his head.
"Saying this na in reverse does indeed represent 'Nyara.' But you aren't Nyara, are you?" His question surprised the black owl.
Still, the owl didn't say a word and silently sat on Sylvia's shoulder in silence.
anwhile, Sylvia sighed deeply and spoke.
"She rarely talks-"
Before Sylvia could respond, the black owl nad Arayn made a strange hooting sound and spoke.
"Brilliant. But don't worry; this na trick is to fool the Lawful Gods." Arayn paused for a mont and added.
"I know why you ca here, Charles. Your goal isn't to save this city but to get sothing, right? Though you have been in this city for around 2 hours, you know too much information about this city. Have you developed an advanced skill to predict the future? What puzzles is why did you even go to Langdon Street?"
"How did you know?" This ti, it was Jessie who asked this question.
At that mont, Sylvia cleared her throat, calmly folded her hands, and answered instead of Arayn.

Charles activated his left eye, peeked into the future at that mont, and asked.
"Worm?"
Just as he asked, a black illusionary worm ca out of Marvin's forehead, hovered before his face, and started to materialize.
It had hundreds of strange white eyes all over its body and white rings roughly the size of a thumb, and it looked eerier.
"Yes, it's called Mindworm, only found on that particular street due to the remnant power of Dark God Ringer." Sylvia paused, moved her hand, and pulled the Mind Worm towards her telekinetically.
Soon, she caught the worm, put it inside a strange glass tube, and stored it in her space ring. During this ti, Marvin grew pale and touched his forehead in shock.
'It ca out of my forehead? Soone is controlling ?' Fear gripped his heart.
On the other hand, Sylvia turned her gaze to Charles and asked.
"We want to know why the Security Departnt Director is after you guys?"
'Sylvia... As expected of the Secret Witch, she has long gathered information about us. Well, I don't plan on hiding anything anyway.' He let out a deep sigh and spoke.
"Long story short, he killed your Teacher. And, if I don't kill him sooner, he will kill you today at 4.15 P.M."
Alas, not a single trace of surprise appeared on Sylvia's face.
She closed her eyes, made countless possibilities with the information she had gathered, and even peeked into the future.
"Even Demigod Rafael will die, right? Did you see the future? But how did your 'Ti' spell bypass the city's 'defensive' system?"
At that mont, Arayn suddenly spoke up.
"It's not an impenetrable defensive system, Sylvia. It must be the 'Ti Recall' spell. I heard that a youngster nad Udnir created such a spell to peek into a distant future. But even I didn't expect to see it here."
'Does Udnir seem like a youngster to you? How old are you?' Charles couldn't help but be shocked inside.
