Chapter 470: Arrow
Rainbow Street, Nobles' Borough, Royal Capital.
At this mont, lody arrived in front of a three-ter tall compound wall and soon shifted his attention towards a tallic gate. She then took a step forward and walked towards it. Before long, she arrived in front of the compound gate, pushed it open from the outside, and walked inside.
Although two gatekeepers tried to stop her while pointing their weapons, she casually raised her right hand and snapped her fingers.
A second later, more than five eerie dark vines popped out of the concrete path like so worms, slithered around their bodies, and directly strangled them to death in re seconds.
lody then closed her eyes for a mont and then cast her wide-range druidic spell.
"Wheel of Nature!"
It was more like a Nature Domain spell!
As she cast this spell, the surrounding 500-ter radius land fused with her druidic power and beca a separate domain.
An illusionary power enveloped the mansion in re seconds and isolated the mansion from the rest of the city like so forcefield.
She then extended her hand, created a crystalline seed out of thin air, and tossed it towards the sky.
A second later, most of the people inside the mansion felt that their surroundings started to distort and change into a completely different scenario.
So found themselves standing in the middle of a forest, so in a prison dungeon, so in deep space, and so on.
Everyone got pulled into different illusions!
Just when she was about to cast her next spell, a strange ripple ca from the three-storied mansion and caused her to pause in surprise.
'Duke invited a Sorcerer to protect his family?' Her eyebrows rose upward.
But soon, she shook her head, took out an erald bow and a unique silver arrow from her golden bracelet. Then, he placed the arrow's nock on the bowstring, held the fletching with thumb and forefinger, and pulled the bowstring.
Simultaneously, she closed her left eye, adjusted the angle of the arrow, and recited a short chant.
In a mont, a dense amount of nature-elental energy gathered at the tip of the arrow and covered it like the sword aura!
Then, she locked her gaze at the mansion's entrance and aid at the person who was walking out of the three-storied building.
The one who ca from the mansion was a wrinkle-faced older woman, who appeared to be around 70 to 80 years old, and she wore a luxurious silver-colored robe. She had greyish white hair, pale skin, strange purple-colored eyes, and she held a wooden staff in her hand.
As lody saw her face, a sense of hopelessness and fear appeared in her heart.
lody pulled the arrow with full force before the strange feeling could take over her mind and released it.
Swoosh!
Like a bullet, the arrow tore through the air, moved towards the old lady at an unimaginable speed, and almost arrived in front of her forehead in a blink.
But just as it was about to pierce through her forehead, a strange mirror appeared in the middle and deflected the arrow towards the sky!
On the other hand, lody felt dizziness suddenly and staggered to and forth due to so strange energy invading her mind. She also dropped the bow and took a step back.
'Damn it!' Cursing inwardly, she took a deep breath and activated her unique skill [Mask of Trickery].
Unlike other nature spells, lody had no idea how she got this unique skill.
Alas, she knew how it would work.
The [Mask of Trickery] skill had helped her in many situations. It blocked many hypnosis-type effects by inducing her inner emotions, masked her facial appearances, allowed her to fake her death twice, and even created opportunities to escape from hopeless situations.
In her opinion, it was a divine skill!
She wouldn't have escaped from the 'Magewind City' if not for this skill.
As she expected, she felt so resistance towards this fear emotion and snickered inwardly.
'So, there is indeed so power affecting my mind!'
At that mont, an image of a charming young man's face appeared in front of her face, causing her lips to curl upward.
'I can't be defeated by re fear!'
The next instant, she raised both her hands and muttered.
"Shield of Creation!"
A second later, an illusionary forcefield appeared around her body and completely blocked the fear-inducing power from entering lody's head.
Without any delay, she locked her gaze on the silver-robed old lady, cast her [Blessed Eyes] spell on herself, and added.
"Absolute Hypnosis!"
A second later, a strange power ca out of her erald eyes and affected the silver-robed old lady.
But lody didn't stop there, though. Instead, she took a step forward, raised her right hand, and then spoke in a cold tone.
"Chaos Plant!"
A second later, the ground behind the old lady cracked suddenly, and soon a rose-like plant ca out of it.
The strange rose-like plant was as thick as a few centiters and grew up to 3 ters high with multiple branches. At the sa ti, a large number of thick needles and thorns covered the plant's surface, with a density equivalent to steel or the densest tal.
The needles were also extrely sharp, and the thorns could cause extre pain!
At that mont, the old lady also turned around and tried to back away from the chaos plant. Unfortunately, the plant seed to have read her thoughts, extended one of its thorn-covered branches, and coiled around her neck. Simultaneously, the sharp needle-like thorns penetrated her flesh and released strange pollens into her bloodstream. Although the old lady struggled with all her might, the thorn-filled branch pulled her towards the main stem and tightened her neck.
Then, the other plant branches also slithered towards every part of her body and completely bound her with the stem. After that, the chaos plant started to pull back into the ground and soon disappeared from lody's eyes.
The chaos plant had killed the Demon Sorcerer in re monts!
lody calmly looked at the area for a mont and then shifted her attention towards the humans inside the mansion. So crawled on the ground, so slept soundlessly, and the rest were roaming here and there like blind n.
Upon seeing this, she shook her head in disappointnt, squatted down before touching the ground, and then muttered.
"Nature Spikes!"
A second later, eerie dark greenish vines popped out of the ground from everywhere and started slithering in all directions. Before long, those vines slithered around humans' bodies and started strangling them one by one. Except for small children and so won, lody didn't spare anyone and killed them using her thoughts.
Once she was done, she turned around, started walking towards the compound gate, and soon left Duke Ismael's mansion.
