Lu Jing humd in acknowledgnt:

After confirming the license plate number, she hurried over with a quick jog.
Opening the car door, she was all smiles:

With a bang, the car door shut.
It really was quite cold outside, the wind was biting.

"See if there’s any hand cream inside, seems like the one your brother’s workplace distributed; put so on quickly so your hands don’t crack."

"That’s so nice! Sister-in-law, do you think my brother’s workplace hires female firefighters?"
Female firefighters?
Lu Jing actually thought back seriously:
"I’ve seen them on the news, but as for your brother’s workplace, I’ve not yet seen a single female firefighter there."

Apart from their family quarters, there truly wouldn’t even be a female fly to be found anywhere else.
"Why, do you want to be a firefighter?"
The Jiang family probably would not agree to that!
There was already one son in the family who kept everyone worried sick; they definitely couldn’t let the daughter be the sa!
It was imaginable; if Jiang Yuan really told her family she wanted to join the fire service, who knows what kind of commotion it would cause at ho.
Jiang Yuan’s eyes sparkled:

Though she said that, the sacrifices they made behind the scenes and the life-threatening dangers they faced on every call were not sothing an ordinary person could truly understand.

"And you know, firefighters are so handso!
Just look at all the TV shows and movies about firefighting these days, so many of them, and they’re really cool!"
As expected of a young girl, only looking at the surface, not seeing the deeper implications of the issue.
Lu Jing didn’t want to burst her bubble right then and there:
"Focus on finishing your studies for now; we can talk about this after you graduate."
If she wanted to be a firefighter, she should have applied to the fire academy to begin with, right?
For now, education should be the priority.
Jiang Yuan pouted:
"Sister-in-law, don’t you believe in ?"
