"Kung Pao Shrimp Balls," "Sea Salt Baked Crab," "Italian Seafood Soup," "Boiled at," "Spicy Chicken Cubes," "stir-fried pork," "Pork Tripe Soup"...

All the dishes had been Lu Jing’s favorites. Who would have thought that, after six years, Jiang Ye would still rember them all so clearly?

Lu Jing sat there, sowhat dazed, all utensils around him had been sterilized by Jiang Ye.

Yes, one hand was in a cast, immobilized; therefore, his movents were not very smooth, and even obviously clumsy.

"Go ahead and eat. They’re all your favorites, not sure if I missed anything."

Lu Jing frowned when he heard it, unable to voice his refusal.

Holding the chopsticks, his gaze fixed on the man sitting across, his eyes filled with mixed feelings.

After a while, he finally spoke:

"Jiang Ye, you didn’t have to do all this."

After all, the relationship between them was no longer what it had been.

"It’s my body, I’ll do what I want, eat!"

Lu Jing moved the corner of his lips but didn’t say anything more.

Yet, from all these once-favorite dishes, the only thing that made it to his mouth was the Pork Tripe Soup.

The rest remained untouched.

Seeing this, Jiang Ye’s face gradually changed, his forehead veins bulging with suppressed anger, and finally, clenching his jaw, he asked:

"Aren’t you going to eat these?"

Lu Jing froze, then replied lightly:

"Yeah, I’m not eating."

"Why? You used to love these."

Clearly, the question was a bit aggressive.

But, Jiang Ye really wanted to clarify this issue now.

The implication was clear to both.

Lu Jing put down his chopsticks, closed his eyes briefly, and then opened them:

"Not everything remains unchanged forever, just like these dishes. I used to like them, but now I just don’t. There’s a saying, ’You are not as before, and I am not as once.’"

Jiang Ye’s expression suddenly turned cold:

"You are being indecisive, which is wrong!

Ah?

Are we talking about being indecisive now?

Or are you actually speaking about people?"

Lu Jing didn’t bother to argue anymore, thinking he had explained enough.

He continued to eat as he was genuinely hungry.

As for this person, whatever will be, will be!

After the al, Lu Jing was full, whereas the other person only sipped so tea and ate nothing.

Geez, so full of anger, why bother eating at all?

"I’m good now. I’m going to leave. Thanks for the dinner," Lu Jing said sincerely as he got up from his chair.

Although the man’s face was grim, he stood up quickly too:

"I’ll drive you!"

"No need, it’s easy to catch a cab."

But protesting was futile; the man would not listen.

Lu Jing was pulled downstairs and then pushed into the car.

Throughout, Jiang Ye didn’t utter another word.

On the way back, the car was enveloped in silence, only the sound of the wind whooshing by, and since it was late, fewer cars were on the road.

The situation between them paralleled a saying:

Outside the window was a scenery not in the heart.

In the heart was a scenery not outside the window.

The car sped fast, clearly soone was venting.

When they reached the family building near the hospital, it had barely taken twenty minutes.

Lu Jing swiftly snapped back to his senses, his face regaining its calm:

"Thank you, I’ll get out here."

"Wait."

"Is there sothing else?"

The man turned his head to look at Lu Jing:

"Is it really just going to end like this?" he asked.

Lu Jing held his breath for a mont, then slowly answered:

"Yes, I hope my future life will be peaceful, undisturbed by anyone or anything. I wish you and Miss Gu eternal happiness!"
