Chapter 355: Chapter 204: Past Events and Old Histories (Part 2)

This is the last page of the diary. Li Ang turned his gaze to a corner of the basent, where an arm that matched the appearance and texture of the sleeping Giant chanical Armor was placed on a large machine tool.

The blade on it indicated that this arm could transform, which should significantly enhance the combat power of the chanical Golem.

Apart from Andasu, Dorothy’s recitation also attracted ALulu and Zoe to listen from the side.

Li Ang summarized: "In short, the owner of this basent is a pure engineering technology developer. From the fact that he could leave a complete chanical Engineer legacy, it’s clear he was highly skilled, but didn’t find much success. He was uncomfortable in the Makena Island Country, ca to the Holy City, but never found an opportunity to make money."

"Clearly skilled, so why encounter such difficulties?" Zoe asked puzzledly.

Li Ang smiled at her: "Sotis it’s a matter of luck, environntal influence, and personal character that all play a role."

The Holy City is second only to the Thousand Tower City in terms of magical prosperity, and the chanical Engineer’s abilities outside of the Makena Island Country may not be appreciated because many things that can be accomplished through magic and ancient relics’ outputs.

The chanical Engineer relies on engineering products to achieve various things, which requires a lot of preparation, effort, and ti. Additionally, the profession is extrely rare, virtually unseen in the Adventurer Realm, because fighting with chanical devices demands significant investnt.

So, unless he truly achieved so remarkable feats, in a place like the Holy City, no one would know who you are. Even if you’re the captain of the front-row Sky Cavalry, perhaps no one on the street would recognize you, as everyone’s eyes are on those at the pinnacle of the world.

And because of Cormac’s personality, he isn’t inclined to seize wealth or create anything eye-catching.

This basent’s chanical Golem "cha Demigod" indeed can awe people. According to the diary, he relied on this chanical giant to rapidly complete the engineering progress.

Li Ang flipped through the design drawings. For construction purposes, Cormac also specifically created engineering module devices for the chanical Armor. Now, its two arms can transform and assemble into engineering instrunts. As for the tracked trailer it can tow, its whereabouts are unknown.

Running this golem also burned through many Spirit Cores, all funded by Cormac himself.

Dorothy rubbed her forehead: "He was assassinated because he held a ledger that could serve as evidence. Alas, such docunts recording critical information, to let them be so easily known by others, is just too careless."

"I’ll inform the Order Knight about this."

Yusef and "other major figures" orchestrated the murder of an innocent engineer, and possibly foren who fought for others’ rights were hard too — an investigation can severely impact Yusef.

After securing the diary, Li Ang rifled through Cormac’s design drawings, noticing the engineer was very proud in describing his work.

"It is a perfect blend of Magic-guided Technology and Magic Rune. I even realized the construction of channels for the Magic-guided Spirit Core to power the runes, truly integrating these two enhancent techniques for machinery into one."

"The heart of the cha Demigod integrates both these technologies and my various ingenious ideas to form a super engine. As long as the energy is sufficient, it can allow a giant Flying Airship to unleash extraordinary speed, which I believe is the correct thod to surpass traditional engine speed."

"As for mass-producing Combat Golems, I have half of the design thought out."

"If this continues, perhaps my utopian engineering blueprint can truly be realized one day."

"Is what he said true?" Zoe asked with wide eyes.

The ntion of the Airship’s speed made the little cat’s eyes sparkle.

Though not as fully invested as a pilot like Andasu, she was undoubtedly interested in things related to speed and passion.

"It should be, this person doesn’t seem like soone who would deceive himself." Li Ang said.

"Then if we remove this giant’s heart, it becos the engine for our Airship, right?"

"That’s right."

"Then this is indeed a treasure." Zoe laughed.

Concerning the future hos of those present, all agreed with this perspective.

Andasu lifted her head; from the very start, reading the chanical Engineer’s legacy was less engaging for her than admiring the chanical Golem. Li Ang guessed there are parts that are difficult and temporarily beyond her understanding, making imrsion difficult.

"Can we move this entire cha Demigod?"

Andasu said: "Its chanical structure is hard to replicate elsewhere, it should, it should have its uses..."

Her voice slightly lost montum as she spoke, not because she was mistaken, but because Li Ang noticed she was worried about troubling him.

"I also advocate moving everything from here. They will surely facilitate your engineering study, ultimately benefiting our entire team."

Li Ang smiled at her: "I’ll figure it out."

The group circled the basent a few more tis, deciding to head back.

Li Ang still had business at the Do Furnace Association in the afternoon.

Once outside the basent, Dorothy leaned toward Li Ang and said: "This Cormac isn’t a small figure. Although his character is a bit easily exploited."

"Hmm, were you thinking about that just now?"

"No, I was reflecting on what was ntioned in his professional handbook."

Dorothy’s expression was a little incredible: "Rember when we entered the Linden Clan’s burial chamber beneath Spark Port?"

"I rember."

"At the ti, the Linden Clan’s records docunted the ’Barbarian Kekrus’ offensive, and I said that was the Founding Emperor of the Holy Speriel Empire."

"Yes, that did happen."

Because the Founding Emperor and the current empire’s resurgence are eight poles apart, Li Ang didn’t delve into it. However, the frequent reminders from a noble lady he often heard about this event brought it back to mind.

"There are two Kekrus brothers. They are a pair of siblings."

Dorothy said: "There are many speculations about these two, and all we know is that they parted ways. Perhaps due to being intentionally concealed by the empire’s historians of old, no one knows where he went."

The Half Elf sparked a rare earnest excitent: "It turns out the truth of this incident exists in the Makena Island Country! I only knew Makena has ties with the empire. Seeing it like this, the brother of Founding Emperor Jelus Keckrus, Karios Keckrus, established the Makena Island Country. No wonder they are connected now."

Li Ang nodded as he listened: "This is indeed a crucial piece of information and explains why the wealth from Spark Port flowed to the Makena Island Country at the ti."

He mused: "It seems the Star Flower Travel Corps will have to make a trip there sooner or later."

Whether it’s because of Zoe, who is likely going to get involved with imperial matters in the end, or the matter with Frost Heaven Star Soul Eden, which stated the Makena Island Country has a sleeping Star Soul, this journey is inevitable.

Knowing this secret in advance, although there are no further details currently, in the long run, there might be unexpected discoveries once we get there.

"Who said there are no further details? Hmph."

"Stop keeping us in suspense."

"Kiss

and I’ll tell."

"Alright."

Dorothy blushed; she stepped back two paces: "Wait, let’s do it later."

With high attack and low defense, the Golden Canary revealed her analysis: "Rember the list from that mysterious rchant? The Ancient Magical Core from Olin Island."

"You’re saying—"

"Yes, Olin Island is the initial location of the empire. Without conquering there, it couldn’t possibly claim inheritance of the Speriel Empire."

"Where is Olin Island?"

"Hmm... next to my ho, not far from the Giant Garden. It’s considered a dium-sized island but has been in decline for a long ti now."

Olin Island?

Li Ang marked down another goal in his heart.
