Beast Gathering City was occupied by three major clans.
The terrestrial Beast Clan, the flying Feather Clan, and the aquatic Sea Clan.
Every five years, the Clan Leaders of the three great clans would compete for the position of City Lord.
And now, the Tiger Clan City Lord was past his pri. It was highly likely that the next ruler of the city for the coming five years would be the Clan Leader of the Feather Clan.
Several years ago, Song Yi had already defeated the previous Clan Leader of the Feather Clan. Now, the Feather Clan he led was responsible for patrolling and securing Beast Gathering City, as well as guarding the mineral resources in the city’s mountain ranges.

After finishing the roasted at, Lin Xixue patted her stomach and was about to go for a walk to aid her digestion when she suddenly heard a chorus of eagle screeches from outside. Her expression brightened, and she ran downstairs with a PITTER-PATTER.
As she went out, she nearly crashed into a golden-haired man approaching her.
Before she could steady herself, the man walked straight past her without offering a hand to help.
The man was tall and upright, with golden hair and blue eyes, a high-bridged nose and deep-set eyes. His handso face was cold and severe, and a golden feather ornant hung from his right ear.
’This man is strange.’ Unlike ordinary males in the Beast World who couldn’t wait to wear shorter beast-hide skirts to attract the attention of females, he wore a loose, crimson-gold feathered robe that completely concealed his tall and powerful body.
The man’s arrival brought with it the chill and dampness from outside. Lin Xixue, shivering from the cold, wrapped her animal-hide clothes tighter around herself and looked at him with a delicate, dissatisfied pout, yet she quickly hurried after him.
"Where is Song Ke?" The man’s sharp, eagle-like eyes swept over the empty Stone Castle, not missing a single corner.
His low, husky voice was as intoxicating as smoke. Lin Xixue’s body instantly went weak, and her gaze upon the man grew even more heated.
"You’re Song Yi?"
’He rarely cos back. Why today...’
Lin Xixue hurried forward to get closer to the man, her eyes burning as she looked at Song Yi. She softened her voice, putting on a delicate tone, "I don’t know either. He went out and hasn’t co back yet."
"Isn’t he obsessed with you? How could he just leave you in the Stone Castle and go off by himself?" Song Yi narrowed his long, blue eyes, looking at the female’s unsightly expression. He watched as she moved closer, deliberately brushing the softness of her chest against his arm from ti to ti.
"..." Song Yi’s face was as cold as ice.
The man’s long, sword-like brows furrowed. His thin lips pressed into a tight line, and his jaw tensed. A look of disgust and rejection flashed across his handso, cold face.
Without any regard for the fact that she was a female, he shoved her away.
Caught off guard, Lin Xixue fell to the ground. She let out a shriek and, trembling all over, glared at Song Yi. "I’m a female! How could you treat like this?"
Instead of answering, Song Yi returned with a question. He glanced down at her, his voice cold and indifferent, "You are my younger brother’s female. Why are you deliberately trying to seduce ?"
"..." Lin Xixue was montarily speechless. She could only stare at him resentfully, feeling utterly indignant. This, however, only made her want him more.
Since coming to this world, she had received endless adoration from all sorts of n. This was the first ti she had ever encountered such an unromantic block of wood.
Unable to find the person he was looking for, Song Yi turned and left.
The man’s tall, wild body instantly transford into a Golden Feathered Giant Eagle. He launched himself out the door, his body spanning five ters after unfurling his wings. He soared majestically into the sky and vanished as fast as lightning.
The mont he completely disappeared,
the oppressive aura pressing down on Lin Xixue finally dissipated. She climbed up from the ground, glaring viciously at the distant horizon.
"Damn it! That Song Yi really won’t give the ti of day! I’m the person his brother holds dearest to his heart, yet he dares to give such a foul look!"
’I’m the most beautiful female here! It’s impossible for any male not to like !’ Lin Xixue quickly regained her confidence and snorted indignantly. "Song Yi, you just wait! The day will co when you’ll be on your knees, begging to form a partnership with you!"
