Leon’s POV
Honestly, seeing the Queen trouble Aurora almost all the ti is almost funny to , because there are practically two won—one disguising to be a man and the other falling hard for the other. I saw how the Queen kept brushing Aurora’s shoulder, and Aurora kept shivering, and I just bit my lips to stop myself from laughing.
Then Aurora whispered sothing into her ear and the Queen directed her out. She must have rushed out to take a deep breath. But I can’t bla her though; it is quite weird to see the Queen all over her.
I turned as the Alpha said to , "Co on, Leon. I’ve not seen you pick any girls."
"I’ve not been finding any wolf in your pack interesting." I turned to look at each and every one of the wolves there.
"They are interesting," I said, "but they are not Aurora." I muttered the last part to myself.
He turned back to . "So pick one. Pick any of them. You can pick multiple, by the way. Satisfy yourself, you’re a visitor. And when you’re done, I will introduce you to my entire pack publicly."
He looked at proudly. "You seem to be a very fit wolf. When I set my eyes on you, I saw your wolf. Your wolf seems to be very strong. I’m in need of a Beta. So probably, you might fill in that role when I audition you and the others eligible for the position."
"Oh, I’m very thankful for the role, but I don’t think I’m really up to that task," I said. "I just ca here to live my life, and I appreciate the help and the shelter you’ve given and my friend, but I’m quite fine."
"So you don’t want to beco a Beta?" he asked, looking at strangely.
"Yes, I don’t."
My stomach growled. I couldn’t leave my position as a Beta back ho just to co here and occupy the sa position. That’s awfully weird. He nodded.
"Fine. Well, the girls are waiting. Go fuck them," he said, laughing and continuing to kiss the one in front of him.
I turned to see the girls beside .
"Co on," he said.
I held the two of them awkwardly. "I’m not the type to do my thing publicly. I love doing it privately."
"Why? We’re all boys and girls here. Don’t tell you’re afraid of showing your rod to everyone right here. Oh— is it small?" he said, laughing harder.
I turned to him, further uncomfortable. "No, no, it’s not small," I said. "But when I do my thing, I don’t like attention being on . I love doing it privately."
"Haha, this man is a pussy!" the Alpha said, and they all burst out laughing together with the girls. The two girls I had picked just fooled .
"Co on, let’s go sowhere private," they said as they pulled toward a corner.
The mont we were out of sight, I imdiately snapped their necks lightly so they would only be unconscious for a while. My palms were drenched with sweat.
"Ugh, I did not sign up for this. Where is Aurora? Let go see how she’s doing."
She must also be escaping whatever trouble is here. I think she’s right... we shouldn’t have co to this High House. We should have just stayed back ho, building our hut together with Kovu.
I leapt out to find Aurora, but I couldn’t see her anywhere. I kept walking until I bumped straight into the Queen.
"Ah, here you are, Leon. Have you seen your friend Eric? He told he wanted to ease himself, and I haven’t seen him."
"Oh—Eric. I’m also looking for him."
"By the way... where is that cute man?" she asked.
I almost burst out laughing. Cute man? I repeated in my head.
Then I saw soone entering the park, and my breath hitched.
No way. Absolutely no way.
Is that Caspian and Cayden?
What are Caspian and Cayden doing here?
I imdiately hid—ducking behind a wall before anyone could see . They were coming in with a whole crowd of wolves behind them.
Have they found us? No. Fuck.
The Queen saw them and gasped. "God, look at those handso n!" She imdiately rushed toward them.
I started running, panicking. "Eric! Eric!"
Damn it, Aurora! I kept shouting, but I couldn’t see or hear a single trace of her.
I finally stopped and decided to listen to what Cayden and Caspian were doing here. I leapt back toward the gathering and hid behind a huge tree as the Queen was already flirting with them.
"Ahh, what are these handso n doing here? By the way, welco to the Riverdale Park! Hi, I’m the Luna of this prestigious park," she said, stretching out her fingers.
Caspian nodded. "We want to interview your Alpha. We are looking for two people... and we’re guessing they might be here."
"Oh, I’m guessing you’re in the right place because we just welcod two people," the Queen said, and I felt my throat almost jump into my mouth.
"What?" Cayden said. "Two people? Can you describe them?"
"Oh, they are two n. One is extrely pretty and one is... well, very handso."
"Two n?" Caspian frowned. "I’m sorry, that’s not who we’re talking about. We’re talking about a man and a woman."
The Queen shook her head. "No. It’s just two n we welcod here."
Then Caspian whispered sothing to Cayden, and Cayden nodded. "Well... we might still be in the right place. Can we co in? I see your park is busy today."
"Yes, we’re having a ball," the Queen said. "And if you want to talk to the Alpha now, I’d say he’s really busy. You can co back tomorrow after this entire thing."
Caspian bowed. "Thank you. We will be back tomorrow," he said, and they both turned to leave.
That was when the little boy, Lucien—the one Aurora said knew her secret—started running toward his mother. I imdiately pulled him aside and covered his mouth.
"You will not say a word about Eric. Understood?"
