Jasmine Yale never knew that this man had such a ticulous side; shedding his domineering, strong exterior, he was more like an ordinary husband.
And she thought, he was already much better than ordinary n; he cared for her, he would put her first.
"You’ve been awake all this ti, haven’t you? Are you tired? Do you want to sleep for a while?" Jasmine Yale worried about him; he noticed her looking a bit unwell.
"No need, I have to go to the airport in an hour."
"An hour... then should I talk to you, or should I sleep for a bit in your arms?"
"Sleep, if you wake up in the middle of the night, you won’t have energy during the day." Sylvan Cheney held her, "While I’m here, sleep well. I’ll help turn off the lamp when I leave."
"If Butler Santana knows soone is here, he’d think a thief has broken in!"
"Indeed, a thief that only steals from you."
Jasmine Yale laughed.
"Oh, by the way, Sweet Kitty is in Old York. If you have ti, you can go see it; it’s with Yukon Carbon."
"I won’t go."
"..." Jasmine Yale glanced at him, "Alright, if you won’t go, you won’t go."
She knew that even though he had apologized to Yukon Carbon, they would never beco good friends, and their private lives would remain apart.

Jasmine Yale chatted with him again about so plans, and Sylvan Cheney responded succinctly.
After a while, Jasmine Yale yawned.
Her waist felt much better, and the little one inside her was more settled.
She lay in Sylvan Cheney’s arms and gradually felt sleepy.
He leaned down and kissed her, "Sweet, sleep again."
She hooked her arms around his neck and nuzzled, "When will you co ho, and how many days will you be in Old York?"
"I’ll co back once everything is done, hmm?"
"Hmm... you have to keep your word."
"I will." Sylvan Cheney said, "You too, if you feel unwell, be sure to go to the hospital."
"I’ll take care of myself, I won’t distract you."
"Sleep then." Sylvan Cheney coaxed her like comforting a child.
Fortunately, Jasmine Yale was easily soothed and wouldn’t beco arrogant because of favor. After he comforted her a bit, she closed her eyes and fell asleep in his arms.
Initially murmuring a few words, then sinking into a deep sleep.
She slept so adorably, her whole being was slender and petite, making it easy for him to hold her.
He gently patted her back, and after a long ti, he placed her on the bed and ward her blanket.
Outside, the rain continued to fall, but the chill outside did not affect the warmth inside.
Everything was harmonious; perhaps that was the essence of it.
Sylvan Cheney kept watching her, his fingers gently touching her hair.
She was innocently harmless when asleep, like a cat with its claws retracted, evoking tenderness.
Sylvan Cheney sat nearby, guarding.
The light cast down, colors around were tranquil and pleasing.
Outside the wind and rain were intense, but the ho remained as intact and calm as ever.
He sat for an hour like that.
Seeing Jasmine Yale sleeping soundly, Sylvan Cheney finally felt a bit at ease. He carefully got out of bed, grabbed his coat.
As he was leaving, he turned off the bedside lamp, and imdiately the room plunged into darkness.
It was still before dawn, under the faint light, Sylvan Cheney stood for a long ti watching Jasmine Yale; though he couldn’t see anything, he still stood there.
Only when he confird she was safe did his heart relax.
After a long while, he left the bedroom, closed the door, and went downstairs.
In the rain, he opened an umbrella and strode into the darkness, his silhouette gradually fading away.
