The night is quiet, and she casually chats with him, feeling much more at ease.

"Did you just dream of ? I heard you calling my na." Sylvan Cheney looks down at her.

Jasmine Yale feels a bit embarrassed: "Yes, I dread of you. Dread that spring arrived, and we were out enjoying the greenery. Did I call your na?"

"Yes, you called several tis."

"Then perhaps I was thinking of you." Jasmine snuggles up to him with a smile, "But I’m not that clingy. Missing you is one thing, if you don’t work earnestly and do sothing that displeases , then I won’t be thinking of you."

Sylvan chuckles at her childish words and kisses her forehead lightly.

"You don’t need to worry about , I can take care of myself. You just need to handle your own affairs." Jasmine continues, "Don’t worry about the baby either, he’s just a bit too mischievous. Please don’t rush back at night anymore, especially in the rain and cold."

"I worry about you." He furrows his brow.

His heart skipped a beat when he saw Butler Santana’s text ssage.

He’s terrified sothing might happen to her.

He imdiately booked a plane ticket and hurried to the airport, but unfortunately, the flight was delayed, and he ca back late.

Jasmine had given him the house key, and when he entered the bedroom, she was sleeping soundly but her hands and feet were icy cold.

"I’m not a child anymore. If I really felt unwell, I would tell you and not hold back." Jasmine laughs, "As for minor issues, I don’t want to trouble you too much. I can handle it."

"How can this be called trouble? Hmm? With your hands and feet this cold, isn’t it uncomfortable?"

"I’m used to it; it’s always like this in winter."

Jasmine talks to him while listening to the pattering rain outside and his heartbeat.

The whole bedroom feels warm, like a world where spring flowers bloom.

Holding him is entirely different from hugging the quilt. If she could, she’d prefer hugging him every night.

But she understands that n and won are different. Won have delicate emotions, tending towards romance, while n don’t dwell on these things.

"When it’s morning, you’ll head to the airport, right? Oh, no, if it’s cloudy, you’ll have to leave before dawn."

"That’s why I’m persuading you to sleep a bit more. I’m worried that after I leave, you won’t be able to sleep."

"No way, I’m happy when you co back to see . But this isn’t allowed in the future. You’re busy with work, and traveling is a regular thing. Old York is close, but if it’s a farther place, wouldn’t you have to delay work? I won’t allow you to delay work. What kind of man spends all his ti clinging to a woman?"

Sylvan laughs: "Am I that kind of man in your eyes? Besides, when have I spent all my ti clinging to you, hmm?"

"No argunts."

"Alright, alright, no argunts. I’ll just listen to whatever you say."

"That’s more like it."

"Are you uncomfortable anywhere? Tell while I’m still here." Sylvan asks with concern, looking at her.

"Uncomfortable... my back feels sore, but otherwise, I’m alright. The little one kicked , and you can’t do anything about it."

"I can’t do anything now, but there’ll be ways in the future." Sylvan reaches out to massage her back, whispering softly.

"No, no, I’ll protect him. You absolutely can’t hit him."

"Then won’t he be uncontrollable?"

"Even so, no way. I gave birth to him, you’re not allowed to hit him."

Sylvan: "..."

He gently massages her back, his palm warm, his movents soft.
