Ezra and Mateo woke up at midnight simultaneously. The first thing that they noticed was the white ceiling and the dimly lit lights and then each other. There was no mory of what had happened to them but they found it difficult to move their limbs.

They couldn’t recognize where they were either because seeing each other in the sa room and having dical equipnt strapped on them and around them was not sothing that they had thought of happening before.

Ezra opened his mouth to speak but no words made its way out and he closed it back up. His throat was hoarse and dry. He sighed. It ans that they both could not communicate with each other and find out how they ended up in the sa closed place such as this room where they found themselves. Rye’s inky option now was rye mind link Ezra thought and from the look on Mateo’s face, he could tell that she was not the only one who had realized it.

Closing his eyes, he tried to mind link his Alpha, hoping it goes through. And to his luck, Lazarus occupied the room next to them and he was easily connected to the link while Mateo linked Darren. The links going through had them sighing in relief.

In a mont, the door to the room opened, Lazarus was the first to enter, Darren and Kora followed closely behind him and then the pack’s healer, Sophia, entered after them along with a doctor to check their physical conditions.

"How are you feeling?" Koira was the first to ask. She stood between the bed of Mateo and Ezra while she touched high their arms. They said nothing Mateo replied through the mind link.

["I feel tired Luna."] He said. He didn’t understand why he felt so tired when it was obvious that he was just waking from a long slumber.

anwhile, Ezra just stared at them with a tired look and she knew he felt the sa. "Get them water." She ordered and Sopjhia was the one who left the room to get it for them. "Do you rember what happened to you?" she asked while Lazarus and Darren stood behind her watching the faces of Mateo Ezra.

Kora had said soti might be wrong with them ntally and they want to be sure it was not sothing serious. They hope to get sothing out of their expressions but they have found nothing except confusion and uncertainty in their expressions.

["No, Luna,"] Mateo replied. ["What happened?"]

["Recover fully first"] Darren butted in on the link.

["Understood Alpha."]

Kora looked at Lazarus and Exra who seem to be communicating through the link themselves and she wished she could still communicate with them too. Soon, Sophia ca back with a jug filled with water and two glasses. The water was poured into the glasses and given to them. They breathe in relief feeling the cold and the soft flow of the water down their throats, feeling refreshed. "Can you say sothing now?" she asked.

"Barely," Ezra mumbled out, the words ca out in a whisper.

"Better than before," Mateo said. Also speaking in a whisper.

"You are both alright, that’s what is important," Lazarus said. He played Ezra’s shoulder and he nodded. "I will let Dana know that you alright now." A small smile ford on Ezra’s lips upon hearing that.

"I made her worry," he said while staring at the ceiling.

"You both made everyone worry," Kora stated making him look at her for a second and a broad smile appeared on his lips.

"Sorry about that." He said. If his hands were not feeling too heavy for him to move them, he would scratch the back of his head and Kira could imagine him doing it.

"I am sorry, too long," Mateo said and Sophia who was attending to him slapped his arm. He looked at her questioning and she glared at him.

"It was not your fault that we were worried," she said and the two shifters who haven’t received the mories back squinted at her.

"When you recover, you will know," Kora said and they nodded having no other option.

"Alpha," The doctor called to the attention of the people. While everyone was busy conversing and inquiring about their state of being, he was busy running a check-up on the both of them.

"Did you find anything?" Darren asked because it was obvious that it was him whom the doctor was calling. The doctor gave a bow and spoke.

"Beta Mateo and Gamma Ezra are both fully recovered. The only thing left is to regain their strength." He spoke as the doctor that he was. He didn’t co there to see if there was anything besides the physical and dically diagnosable condition, but what his field of expertise could offer.

"What about you?" Darren asked while looking at Sophia. As a healer, she should have her say in the matter. She would have a better and deeper understanding of the situation but from a dical perspective and more.

"They are doing alright, Alpha," She said and stood up straight and bowed, she was unable to do so while still examining Ezra. "All they need now is rest. Their mories will most likely return." Matei and Ezra stared at her with questions but they were invoiced knowing that they wouldn’t be receiving any reply.

"What do you think, love?" Darren asked Kora. All eyes turned to the young Luna supre waiting for her to speak.

"We wait until then." She said and they missed knowing it was solely depending on the two shifters to recover and regain their mories.

At Coldshade City,

David Spears and Jack at a bar with a glass of alcohol in front of them each. They sat at the bar counter facing each other. The bartender had just refilled their glasses and stood staring at them after overhearing what they were saying wondering what was wrong with the two grown n believing in creatures of fantasy.

"What do you intend to do with the Blood Moon Pack?" Jack asked. He glanced at the bartender who was looking at them like he was looking at children. "Are we to wait for Jared’s organization or do we do sothing of our own?"

David took a sip of his wine and gently placed the glass back down on the counter. "It will be less problematic to wait for them. And it will take more resources from us if we act alone, not to ntion life-risking." David replied.

Though he wanted revenge against Raven and the rest of the pack, he was no fool to act irrationally. He has found a group of people whom he could mingle with and hide in their midst as he carried out his plans.

"That will take ti, are you willing to wait that long?" Jack asked because when he first heard David speak of the pack and his son-in-law, he sounded like he could not wait to get rid of them.
