Heaven’s POV

Tonight was the Ascension Ball. The entire park was excited, It was the biggest event the Full Moon Pack had seen in a long ti. The official ceremony where the quadruplet would be crowned the new Alphas. It was also the night of the mating ceremony so I wasn’t entirely excited.

Today was the day Sofia had been waiting for and it was the day I feared most.

It was the day that Sofia would be mated to the Alphas, maybe even all four of them, and I would continue to be mute, wolfless and mateless.

"Heaven dear," Mrs Higgins called softly as I scrubbed the pots in the kitchen. The evening al had been served and the dishes were a lot.

"You need to get ready," she continued

I paused and looked at her confused.

"The ceremony," she said gently, understanding my confusion

"All the pack mbers are expected to attend, even servants. Tradition states that when a new Alpha is crowned, every mber of the pack must bear witness and pledge their loyalty," Mrs Higgins explained.

My stomach dropped. I had thought that I would be working during the ceremony. I didn’t want to be in the presence oof mbers of the pack that hated so much.

I shook my head in refusal, gesturing to the pile of dishes that tneeded to be washed.

"You can get back to this s after the ceremony," Mrs Higgins said quietly.

"If you dont attend you’ll get punished." She said gently

She was right. I didn’t really have a choice. It was either get punished or attend and... I’ll choose the latter.

"Go to your room and put on the dress I left on your bed. It’s not too fancy, but it’s s better than what you have," she instructed.

I nodded and made my way to my tiny ycupboard of a room. I washed my face and hands in the small basin then hurriedly put on the dress.

It was the e nicest thing I had owned in years, it had long sleeves to cover my scars.

There was a knock on the door which startled . I opened the door to find Sofis standing there in her robe with her hair already styled.

"Heaven, follow ," Sofia said as she looked at from head to toe, like I had shit sared all over my body.

I followed her through the pack house to her chambers. When we got there, she dismissed the handmaiden with a wave.

"Close the door,"she ordered, and I obeyed. As my heart began to beat fast , I kept wondering what I had done this ti, and what punishnt she would give .

Then, I shifted to look towards the side and I noticed an embodied dress on the bed. This was different from the one I had made for her.

Sofia noticed where I was looking and a smile appeared on her face. Then she moved close to the bed, where the dress was laid.

"Look, aren’t they beautiful? Sofia said with a wide grin as she gestured d towards the beautiful dress."The quadruplets picked them out for ."

My chest tightened as I heard what she was saying, but I maintained a blank face.

She stepped closer to the dress and trailed d her fingers over it as she turned to look at . "Damian got this from . He said I deserved a more classy dress and that the future Luna of the pack shouldn’t wear sothing made by a re servant.

"Oh, you must be wondering what I did to the dress you made for ," She tilting her head to the side.

"I burned it," she said as her grin widened even more.

What? She had burnt the dress I had spent sleepless nights sewing, even with the pain I felt from the punishnt I received from her sabotage. I still made sure to sew the dress and she burnt it?

I was so angry, I wanted ed to slap her on the face. I wanted to push her to the ground and show her how much I was pained d by the hatred and the wickedness she had showed for five years, but I didnt. I just held myself back because it would only get more punishnt.

"Thats not all," Sofia pouted as if she was about to show sothing wonderful.

She walked towards s her dresser and started pulling out boxes one after the other. She carried them to the bed and placed them beside the dress.

"Co here," Sofia said, waving her hand.

I didn’t want to move, but I had nochoice. I walked towards the bed and stood so inches away from her.

Sophia opened the first box. There was a silver bracelet with tiny diamonds around it.

"This is from Damian," Sofia said as she wore it around her wrist. "He said it reminded him of the moonlight. Romantic right?" She said, smiling at .

Then she moved and opened the second box. It contained a pair of blue stone earrings.

"Damon gave these, Aren’t they beautiful," She said.

Then she moved to the third box that contained a necklace with a sapphire pendant surrounded with smaller pink diamonds.

"Desmond gave these, He said he had never seen anyone as beautiful as ."

Then she paused and looked at for a while before opening the fourth box but it was empty.

Dylan hadn’t given her anything. I was excited, a smile almost appeared on my face but I held it in. Then suddenly, I heard Sofia laugh.

Hahaha

"You should see your face," Sofia said, she raised her hand towards and there was a a golden ring wrapped d on her finger.

"It has our initials on it. Dylan and Sofia. Isn’t he so sweet," She said with a wild smile.

My blood ran cold, they had all gifted her sothing and Sophia was rubbing it on my face because she knew how much I use to adored the quadruplet.

"They love . They protect and they cherish ," She said calmly, tilting her head side by side as she looked at .

"But that’s not why I brought you here,"She said.

I frowned as I looked at her confused. If she didn’t call here to show off f the gift, then n why?

She walked past to her dresser, knelt down and open to the bottom drawer. When she stoodd up, she was holding an old small wooden box. The mont I saw it, my heart started pounding, but I didn’t know why.

She wallked back to and stood in front of . "Do you know what this is?"

I shook my head, but thew box looked familiar. I was sure Id seen it sowhere, but I just couldnt rember.

"Let show you," she said smiling.

She opened the box and I imdiately stopped breathing. My hand flew to my mouth and I was in shock.
