Xiao Ruiyuan, with an expressionless face, watched Mo Yan in silence. Zhenzhen hurriedly shook her head at her older sister, but excitent was barely concealed on her little face.

What was so odd? Mo Yan muttered to herself, knowing she would get no answers, and too lazy to ask further.

After Mo Yan had finished feeding the cattle and horses and carried the bucket away, two dark heads ca together again...

On that day, Xiao Ruiyuan lingered at the Mo Family’s ho for a long ti until night fell. He had dinner with them and then, with reluctance in his heart, mounted his horse and looked back thrice with each step he took as he left.

...

Maybe it was because half of the worries in her heart were gone, Mo Yan slept without dreams that night, a rare good sleep. The next morning, her complexion looked much better than the day before.

Mo Yan thought it a fluke, but in the following days, it was the sa, and her complexion kept improving, which surprised her and made her more certain that those nightmares carried a warning.

Seeing Mo Yan’s recovery in just a few days, everyone in the family heaved a great sigh of relief. Xin Er and Zhen Er also urged her to visit their father with them.

Previously, Mo Yan’s pale face had prevented them from troubling Mo Qingze, so they had Lizhong take the two young ones to visit. Now that she was better, she indeed had to go see him, and this ti she would bring along the newly made fruit wine. As the weather was getting colder, drinking a cup every night before sleep could warm the body and promote better sleep.

The vegetables in the backyard had grown well, with only a few seasonal ones such as Chinese cabbage, radishes, and garlic sprouts. Mo Yan picked so for the chickens and replaced the few types she had in the Space.

Upon reaching the market, she took out two already butchered chickens from the Space, then bought two pieces of soft tofu, pork, pork ribs, and pig offals.

With the temperature not being high, these types of ats could be preserved for two or three days if cured and hung in a well-ventilated area. The pig offals could be turned into marinated delicacies, lasting even longer; frying them with so garlic or chili would make for a delicious dish.

By noon, Mo Qingze and Han Zhiyun had returned, and the al was already prepared.

"Today we’re in for a treat again. I wonder what delicious dishes are in store this ti." Sniffing the fragrance wafting from the house, Han Zhiyun was even more excited than Mo Qingze.

Ever since he first tasted Mo Yan’s cooking, he couldn’t stop thinking about it. He detested the Academy’s canteen food so much he wished he could rent a big house for the Mo Family, so Mo Yan could live here instead.

Knowing that the big eater Han Zhiyun was coming, Mo Yan made two extra dishes specially. When the food was served, she also brought out a small jar of fruit wine and placed it on the table.

Upon seeing this, Han Zhiyun quickly said, "Yan girl, I still have classes in the afternoon, so I really can’t drink alcohol."

"Don’t worry, Uncle Han. This wine won’t make you drunk; one cup is fine. You’ll know once you try it."

Hearing this, Han Zhiyun said nothing further, though he was curious what kind of wine wouldn’t intoxicate.

When Mo Yan removed the clay seal and poured the pale yellow pear wine into the cup, the rich pear fragrance mixed with a light aroma of alcohol filled the air. Han Zhiyun was the first to give in and took a sip.

After savoring it carefully, his eyes lit up, and he laughed heartily, "Excellent wine! It’s sweet on the palate and llow down the throat, neither too warm nor too dry—it’s just right."

Then, he downed a full cup of the pear wine in one go, smacking his lips in aftertaste.

Seeing this, Mo Qingze also picked up the cup before him and took a sip, and he was just as pleased.

Listening to their praise, Mo Yan smiled. She had been worried they might find the pear wine too mild, lacking a manly punch, but to her surprise, they both liked it.

Learning that the wine was personally brewed by Mo Yan and made with pears, both n were sowhat incredulous.
