Claire Shaw closed her eyes, letting out a barely audible sigh of resignation, "Mm."

Ethan Blackwood’s lips curved into a slight smile.

It seed like Claire never really lost anything; she hadn’t retreated; in fact, it was a significant step forward.

Getting her to acknowledge his identity was just a matter of ti.

Having reached an agreent, one felt anxious about the uncertain future, while the other appeared relaxed.

After dinner, to prevent any sparks from flying, Ethan Blackwood cleaned up and prepared to leave.

Claire Shaw saw him to the door, and without warning, the man bent down and wrapped his arms tightly around her.

His grip was strong, as if wanting to press her to his very core, causing Claire to furrow her brow in slight discomfort.

The man’s soft breaths fell on her neck, and his voice was a bit hoarse, "I’m very happy you agreed."

Before Claire could respond, he kissed her forehead and left without looking back.

Claire watched his departing figure, lost in thought.

The next morning, sunlight filled her bed, and Claire found she had unexpectedly slept well that night.

Nowadays, her rental was very close to the school, just a five-minute walk away. Claire basked in the morning sun, sporting a rare smile as she strolled under the dappled shade of the trees.

During this ti, she received a phone call from Charlotte Chapman.

"Claire, Young Master Rhodes contacted about the refund; he wants you to co to the studio at half-past six," Charlotte said reluctantly.

"Alright, I’ll be there on ti."

Owen Crawford wanted all the money back, which ant a return of goods. Normally, these wealthy young masters would never stoop to such things.

But it was because she had just embarrassed Owen Crawford, and he wanted to regain his pride.

He was convinced she couldn’t co up with the money, not knowing that Claire had already prepared everything.

After today, she would sever all ties with Owen Crawford completely.

Upon arriving at the school, a young voice chirped beside her: "Ms. Shaw."

Claire turned around to et Mason Blackwood’s smiling face. Through her efforts, Mason Blackwood was gradually becoming more cheerful, with less gloom.

Mason usually spoke little and was decisive in his actions, but he didn’t look like Ethan Blackwood at all; perhaps he resembled his mother.

Resting her chin on her hand, Claire for the first ti seriously pondered what kind of woman Ethan Blackwood might have liked in the past?

"Good morning, sweetheart." Claire had no barriers with Mason Blackwood; instead, she cared for him even more.

Ruffling his hair, Claire said, "Hurry back to the classroom; it’s almost ti for the morning exercises."

"Mm."

Mason Blackwood stared blankly at Claire’s back, involuntarily wishing she could be his mom.

She was beautiful and gentle.

A small fist hit his head, and Dustin Lawrence, with a baby-faced pout, glared at him, "Stop having bad thoughts, that’s not going to happen."

Mason folded his arms, staring coldly at him, "Are you itching for a beating again?"

Dustin Lawrence and Mason Blackwood were two entirely different types—one cool and handso, the other soft and adorable.

Yet both were equally stubborn, and both shared the sa secret desire for Claire—to have her as their mom!

Dustin Lawrence leaned closer to Mason, lowering his voice, "Don’t think just because you got your dad to back you up to help Ms. Shaw secure that land, you’ve won. My dad will return soon."

Mason scoffed, "So what? Are you going to have your dad hit ?"

Dustin wasn’t backing down either, "I know you like Ms. Shaw, want her as your mom, dream on! Once my dad’s back, Ms. Shaw will definitely fall in love with him! Ms. Shaw will be my mom."

"You’re asking for it!"

Upon hearing this, Mason imdiately swung his fist at Dustin.

"Mason Blackwood, Dustin Lawrence!" Claire shouted from a distance, hands on her hips, "No fighting!"

Just then, Yasmin Yorke, swinging her hips, passed by and chid in snidely, "Ms. Shaw, you should be more patient and gentle with the kids. What teacher is as fierce as you? These two little darlings..."

Secretly, Mason whispered in Dustin’s ear, "That’s your mom after all."

The humiliation was strong, if the damage was not.

Dustin smirked defiantly, "Just watch, Ms. Shaw will definitely marry my dad."

"You’re delusional." Mason tapped him on the head and dashed off.

Faced with Claire’s persistent scolding, Mason maintained a cool and handso face, "Ms. Shaw, I was wrong, but Dustin Lawrence deserved it for his foul mouth, and next ti I’ll hit him again!"

Claire felt helpless, this group of troubleso boys.

Thinking of the person she’d been unable to contact for a while, Claire finally dialed Dustin Lawrence’s parent’s number.

The call was about to be disconnected when it finally went through, and a lazy voice sounded, "Hello."

"Hello, I’m a teacher at Celestia Kindergarten, Mr. Lawrence. I wonder if it’s convenient for you; we need to arrange a ho visit."

"A ho visit, huh..." The person seed to have just woken up, "Next month, once I’m back in the country, I’ll contact you."

"Alright, then I won’t disturb you further, goodbye."

Claire hung up, murmuring to herself, why did that voice sound sowhat familiar?

The busy day passed, and all the other children were picked up, except for Mason Blackwood.

Why hadn’t the housekeeper co today?

Claire got in touch with Ethan Blackwood, and his slightly hurried voice ca through the line, "Sorry, sothing ca up on my end. Ms. Shaw, can you take Mason in for a bit?"

Before she could respond, there was a commotion on his end, and with a hasty "I’ll co pick him up later," Ethan hung up.

Claire sighed, then crouched down, "Mason, would you like to stay with for a while, your dad will pick you up later."

She expected the child to be disappointed, but instead, he tugged on Claire’s sleeve with cautious joy, "Ms. Shaw, can I really go ho with you?"

Why did he, like his dad, want to visit her place?

Her little rundown rental was nothing compared to their grand villa!

Caught in his earnest gaze, Claire found she couldn’t refuse him the way she denied Ethan.

"Mm, but I need to take care of so personal errands first, can you co with ..."

"Okay." He was so obedient, it tugged at the heartstrings.

Claire buckled Mason into the back seat, securing him with a seatbelt and reminding him to be careful.

A strand of her hair brushed against Mason’s cheek, and he sniffed.

As the car started, Mason sent a ssage.

Sweet-slling Ms. Shaw.

In a eting, Ethan Blackwood glanced at the ssage from his son.

Tsk.

Indeed, Claire always had a faint rose fragrance about her, incredibly alluring.

Especially on nights when she was drenched in sweat, the scent beca even more distinct.

He loved it when her legs wrapped around his waist, while he nestled into her neck.

It’s just that Claire’s skin was too delicate; even the slightest touch would leave a mark.

Like a fragile porcelain doll, even kisses had to be gentle, with only the occasional soft tongue gliding over her neck.

So fragrant, with a hint of sweetness—what had she put on?

It made him wish to leave his mark all over her.

Most of all, he loved intertwining their fingers, gently kissing her, teasing her...
