"Okay."

By the ti all the dishes were on the table, more than an hour had passed. Three dishes and one soup, quite generous and reasonably priced.

Coca-Cola chicken wings, Kung Pao shrimp balls, oyster sauce kale, plus a seaweed soup.

Having dinner face-to-face at Xiang Qichen’s place wasn’t the first ti for Huaiyi, so she didn’t feel too restrained. She took off her apron and sat across from him.

"What do you want to do this afternoon?" He poured a bowl of soup into Huaiyi’s bowl and asked casually.

Huaiyi: "Anything is fine."

"Watch a movie?" he asked.

"A movie?" Huaiyi was dumbfounded. "The cinema?"

Wouldn’t that be explosive?

Xiang Qichen: "At ho, there’s a ho theater in the study room."

Huaiyi: "...Oh."

,

So, after the al, the two of them went to the study room.

"What should we watch?" he turned his head.

Huaiyi thought for a mont and casually suggested, "La La Land? I couldn’t find the chance to watch it when it was in theaters."

Xiang Qichen raised an eyebrow, searched around, and put on the disc.

The sunshade in front of the window was pulled down, the room was dim, and the two sat side by side on the soft couch, leaning against a pile of cushions, watching intently without a word.

The movie coincidentally played a scene in the bar, and the lights suddenly dimd.

Huaiyi suddenly felt a bit uncomfortable, swallowed, and glanced sidelong at the man beside her.

He was wearing a loose cashre sweater, his short hair casually parted, slightly covering his thick eyebrows, and under his fair neck were those slightly revealed collarbones, impressively seductive...

With such beauty in front of her, in this kind of setting, not doing anything seed like a bit of a waste of the atmosphere...

Huaiyi was thinking this...

The next second, Xiang Qichen suddenly shifted and his right hand, originally resting on his lap, directly held hers.

It was unexpected.

Huaiyi’s hand trembled in shock, and her heart started pounding.

Oh no, oh no... would he really...

So accurately... she hadn’t even started acting yet... would he kiss her next...

Kiss on the cheek? Or...

Then, she saw those long eyes, exuding a gentle luster, moving closer to her, slowly, slowly...

Huaiyi imdiately shut her eyes.

However... instead of awaiting her god’s kiss, Old Zhou’s phone call ca through.

Xiang Qichen: "..."

Huaiyi: "... Sorry... sorry."

Huaiyi picked up the call: "Hello..."

Old Zhou ca straight in agitatedly: "Hey, Huaiyi, how are you? Done with your work these days?"

"No..." Huaiyi suddenly felt guilty, "a few more days..."

"Your boss is so inhumane, calling people out when it’s almost the New Year."

Huaiyi let out a dry laugh twice, glancing at the inhumane Xiang Qichen beside her: "No choice... it’s just how our industry is, gotta be on call..."

Old Zhou continued to mutter without showing any sign of ending the call. The movie was still playing, Huaiyi looked at the tense atmosphere, and interrupted: "Dad, my boss is calling , I’ll hang up now!"

Old Zhou impatiently replied: "Go, go!"

After hanging up, the two continued watching the movie.

Huaiyi had initially hoped Xiang Qichen would continue where they left off, but by the ti the movie ended, he was still sitting upright without moving.

That night, Huaiyi couldn’t help but grumble in her heart about her dad who ruined her mont. :)

——

The next evening at the film wrap party, Huaiyi made sure to leave separately with Xiang Qichen, arriving exactly ten minutes after he did.

Liu Yang spotted her from a distance, enthusiastically pulling her over to sit at his table.

After saying hello, Huaiyi sat down and her gaze subtly scanned the large hall, finally finding Xiang Qichen’s figure at the table below the stage.

He seed to have been watching her for quite so ti, and when Huaiyi looked over, they briefly locked eyes across a few tables.

Huaiyi guiltily retracted her gaze, tugging at the tablecloth in front of her.

Tonight, Qichen... also looked so good that her heart fluttered like a deer (@_@)

"Huaiyi, you haven’t gone ho yet?" Liu Yang poured her a glass of beer.

"No, I’ve been quite busy lately." Huaiyi took a sip, responding, "Assistants can’t be too idle."

Liu Yang raised an eyebrow slightly: "Oh, being a god’s assistant, even your tone is different. Impressive."

Huaiyi: "..."
