The next day, they finally receive the news of what happened on Alvarez. After battling Zeref for quite a long ti, Acnologia finally left to the south. Their battle didn't affect Alvarez that much because August protected the port town from the effects of their battle.
"Seems like even Acnologia can't do anything about Zeref's immortality and Zeref also doesn't have enough power to defeat Acnologia. He probably could only hold on with his immortality without being able to do much against Acnologia."
Acnologia can defeat Zeref but he can't kill Zeref because of the immortality curse. It must be frustrating to see an opponent you should've killed keep coming back to life. Zeref must've looked like a cockroach in Acnologia's eyes.
Well, it doesn't matter at all for Alex and everyone in Ishgar though. Right now they are just glad that Acnologia isn't coming to their place. They don't have any immortals to keep fighting Acnologia until he's bored.
The 4 Gods of Ishgar will also be useless against Acnologia. Even the strongest of them, God Serena was defeated instantly in the series. He was strong enough to defeat all Wizard Saints alone, so his power is real despite his attitude, but he is nothing compared to Acnologia.
If Acnologia really cos to Ishgar, then at least so towns or even so countries will perish. Many powerful Mages will also die, reducing Ishgar's power significantly. Then Zeref will see this as a chance to invade Ishgar to get Lun Histoire.
Fortunately, they have so insurance though, the 1st generation Dragon Slayers' Dragon parents who stay inside their children's bodies. If Acnologia really endangers their children, then those Dragons will co out to fight him.
But there is also a risk for the Dragon Slayers. They might have not gained enough immunity against Dragonization, which was the reason their Dragon parents sealed themselves inside the Dragon Slayers' bodies.
Still, it's a much lesser problem than them being killed by Acnologia. Even so, Alex knows he also can't rely on them. After all, those Dragons have been weakened significantly after using their power to suppress their children's Dragonization risks.
He can't guarantee that the current Acnologia has the sa level of power as the Acnologia in the series and it also applies to the Dragons. If this Acnologia is stronger and those Dragons are weaker than their versions in the series, then it'll be useless to rely on them.
After all, based on what that Goddess said when Alex t her when he was fighting Ten Tails' consciousness, this world is not the real Fairy Tail world, but a world made based on it.
The Gods might have changed many things that he doesn't know, so it's better to rely on himself most of the ti because the reason those Gods gave him his power was because they wanted to see what he would do with this power in this world.
So things can be different from the series and his plans might not work as well as he thought. Even when he thinks he has handled everything properly, sothing bad or really bad might still happen.
After staying in Hargeon for 3 days, everyone finally leaves. They've confird that Acnologia has attacked Alvarez and then left to the south. So it's ti to leave because nothing happens in 3 days.
But usually, sothing happens when they feel relief or think that nothing will happen. Not long after leaving Hargeon, sothing unexpected happens.
Fairy Tail group is returning to Magnolia by hitchhiking on Blue Pegasus's Christina when suddenly Mavis appears in her ethereal form. She uses the mark on Cana's arm to appear here and she surprisingly shows herself to Cana and everyone from Fairy Tail who's with her.
"E-Eh? Aren't you the 1st Master? W-why are you here?" Cana imdiately recognizes her because Mavis was the one who gave her Fairy Glitter.
"1st Master?!" Makarov also recognizes her even though he hasn't seen her for a long ti, while the others except for Alex don't know her. The Blue Pegasus Mages can't even see her, so they don't know who they are talking to.
"Everyone, we don't have ti, this is an ergency. Acnologia is coming here. He has just passed Tenrou Island and is moving here now." Mavis says in panic, surprising Cana who quickly rushes out of her.
Her words surprise everyone because they thought the crisis had passed. But suddenly that bloodthirsty Dragon shows up again to shatter their peace. Everyone is in panic, but Alex suddenly dashes away and jumps out of the airship by crashing through the windows.
""ALEX!"" Everyone is surprised by his sudden action.
"W-what happened? Why does Alex-kun suddenly jump out of Christina?" Ichiya is really surprised and so is everyone else.
They look out of the window and sees Alex is transforming into a giant white horse with a dolphin head and 5 tails. He transforms into a full-size Kokuo and runs as fast as he can toward Hargeon. With his speed as Kokuo, he disappears on the horizon very quickly despite his gigantic size.
"BOB! TURN THE AIRSHIP AROUND! WE HAVE ERGENCY! ACNOLOGIA IS COMING. WE NEED TO CALL THE COUNCIL AND OTHER GUILDS AGAIN." Makarov says it urgently.
Master Bob doesn't know how Fairy Tail gets that news. But he knows that Makarov won't joke around for sothing like this. They have been teammates for years when he was still in Fairy Tail, so he trusts Makarov.
"Everyone, do as he says! Hibiki, call the Council! We are returning to Hargeon."
"Yes!" Blue Pegasus Mages also don't question it after getting their Master's order. They might be a strange bunch, but they are still a great Guild that respects their strange Guild Master.
Surprisingly, even Karen Lilica who should have died years ago in the series is also obediently following Bob's order. Alex was genuinely surprised when he saw how she behaved these last few days.
He has never t her before and never tried to find out about her after Layla defeated her and took her Celestial Spirits. Alex was worried that she would pick on Lucy, the daughter of the woman who ended her career as a Celestial Spirit Mage.
Even her Guild Mates were worried she would do that even though she has changed a lot since losing her ability as a Celestial Spirit Mage and got banned by the Spirit King from contracting any Celestial Spirits after losing to Layla.
So all of them were actually surprised when she didn't pick a fight with Lucy when knowing that Lucy is Layla's daughter. Instead, she thanked Lucy and even asked Lucy to give her thanks to Layla.
According to her boyfriend, Hibiki, after losing to Layla and couldn't contract Celestial Spirits anymore, Karen was really mad. She even swore she would have her revenge against Layla and the Celestial Spirits, so she started learning other types of magic.
Karen believed that she had a great talent and could learn any magic easily. She had great confidence because she has a lot of magic power. So she chose to learn advanced magic right off the bat.
But having a great amount of magic power doesn't an she can just learn and understand magic easily. After all, her magic power grew because she needed to supply her contracted spirits with magic power so they could use strong spells.
She never really needed to learn the spells herself because the spirits already had spells. She just needed to have enough magic power to give them when they used the spells. Karen didn't even try to really understand her contracted spirits' abilities like Layla and Lucy either.
So she almost never learned complicated things and she found out how difficult it was to learn magic, especially the advanced types. Even after a year, she couldn't even use a spell properly, so she'd have no choice but to learn an easier type of magic.
She has good affinity with Spatial Magic, probably because she used Celestial Spirit Magic, which is a type of Spatial Magic. But even with that, she still had a hard ti learning it and could only use the easier spells.
Even now, she still can't reach her forr level when she was still using Celestial Spirit Magic. Her hardship made her understand just how much she was helped by the Spirits and it changed her into a much better person.
Well, Alex is happy that she changed into a better person instead of turning evil like so small ti villains after what happened to her. But her changes won't help in the current crisis.
Alex who runs as fast as he can in Kokuo's full form easily arrives on Hargeon in less than 5 minutes. He jumps over the town, shocking everyone and continues to run on the sea.
He can't let Acnologia reach the town or everything will be destroyed. Until help arrives, he needs to hold Acnologia on the sea by himself. Even if it kills him, Alex swears he'll protect his ho and loved ones because they are the ones who made his life enjoyable.
