When Fairy Tail group returns to Hargeon Town, they see a lot of Mages and Magic Council mbers have gathered at the port. The people also have started evacuating to save themselves.
So the Fairy Tail group quickly goes to ask what happens here. Makarov sees Yajima, Master Bob, and Master Goldmine. He calls them while running toward them, which surprises those 3.
"Makarov! You're alright?" Yajima can't hide his surprise.
"I am. But what's going on here? Why are there so many Mages? Even the Magic Council's Mages are here."
"Are you really asking that? Your mbers were the one who called us that Grimoire Heart was attacking you and might co to this town. So we ca here as quickly as possible, only to find out that you've gone to chase them. But we figured out you might want to fight them away from this town to avoid endangering people. So we stayed here just in case you couldn't stop them from coming here." Goldmine explains.
"That's right, but then we suddenly sensed an incredibly powerful magic power coming from the sea. Then we saw a sign of an explosion that looks big even though we knew it happened far enough. Not long after that, big waves started coming. I thought there would be a tsunami, but the waves didn't get that big. Then we sensed more of that incredible magic power followed by raging waves." Master Bob continues.
"When the 1st explosion happened on the sea, 2 n from the Magic Council suddenly appeared on the port. They imdiately asked us to call the Magic Council, saying their battleship was destroyed by a Dragon when they chased Grimoire Heart. They said your Guild was there with them too." Master Goldmine explains more.
"So was it true, Makarov-chan? Did a Dragon really appear and destroy their battleship with a single breath?" Master Bob looks very serious.
"Yeah, it's true. Also, it's not just any Dragon, it's Acnologia." Makarov doesn't say much, but it's enough to surprise the 2 Guild Masters and Yajima.
All of them obviously know about Acnologia with their extensive knowledge and experience. They also know that if Acnologia really cos here, then they would have no way to defeat him. Towns would be destroyed before they could even drive him off.
"So, what happens with Acnologia now?" Yajima asks seriously.
"Hmm, the Council's High-Rank officers are here, so might as well tell you while reporting this to them. Gildarts, Alex, follow . The rest of you stay here and avoid making problems. Laxus, Erza, Mira, watch over them." Makarov says it before walking away.
Gildarts and Alex sigh before following Makarov unwillingly. It's always a hassle to talk with the Council's High-rank officials. But they know they need to do this and they can't let Makarov go alone, so they just follow him.
Master Bob, Master Goldmine, and Yajima also follow him. anwhile, Laxus, Erza, and Mira are babysitting. They need to prevent the troublemakers from causing problems while Makarov talks with the Council.
So of the Council's High-rank officials are gathering in a tent near the port now. They are discussing what to do in this situation. After all, they've heard about Acnologia from their 2 mbers who escaped from the destroyed battleship.
They are none other than Lahar and Doranbolt a.k.a st. Both of them didn't say much to the Guild Masters, but they have explained everything to their superiors. So the Council's high-ranks already know about Acnologia's appearance.
When Makarov and co enter the tent, all of them are surprised. They thought that Fairy Tail's ship had also been destroyed and everyone there was killed. So they didn't expect Makarov to show up here alive.
"Are you surprised, bitches? I'm sure you wished that we would've died, right? After all, we were such great eyesores to you assholes that you even sent your agent to infiltrate our S-Class exam so you could forge up evidence to disband us." Alex imdiately vents his anger at them.
"What?! Infiltrating a Guild's internal activity? Is this true?" Master Goldmine's eyes widen out of surprise, and so are Master Bob's.
S-Class exams are internal activities and are Magic Guild's sacred activities. While no one can stop the Magic Council to infiltrate a Magic Guild as the highest Magic Organization in Ishgar, it surely will lower the trust in the current Council.
After all, no Guild wants to be spied on and if the Council can do it to Fairy Tail, they can do it to other Magic Guilds too. None of them wants to make the Council think it can do anything just because it makes the rules.
"It was all because Fairy Tail showed suspicious activities. So we were just investigating the truth." An official seems mad that Alex questions the Council's action.
"Hmph! You just didn't like our Guild because you couldn't control us." Alex scoffs, making the officials clench their fists in anger. But they know he is very powerful, so they can't anger him now.
"Enough, Alex! We're not here for that. There's another ti to settle that problem." Makarov stops Alex, but he doesn't say Alex is wrong and doesn't apologize for anything because they're not wrong here.
Many Guild Masters will silence their mbers who say what Alex said and then apologize out of fear to the Council. But Makarov won't say they're wrong if they are right. He'll only scold them when they are truly in the wrong, but they aren't wrong in this case, so he will never bla them nor apologize to the Council.
This is also one of the reasons why the Council doesn't like Fairy Tail. They are very stubborn and will never bow to the Council. The Council doesn't like Guilds that can't be controlled and Fairy Tail is the one who rebels the most.
"Anyway, I'm sure our current problem is more urgent. I believe you have received reports that Acnologia has appeared." Makarov glances at Lahar and Doranbolt who stand behind the high-rank officials.
"Tsk! That's right, and we heard you were there. But now you are here. So can we assu that Acnologia has gone?" An official reluctantly stops being angry at Alex and talks about the urgent matter regarding Acnologia.
"Yes, he has gone. To be precise, we baited him away from Ishgar and now he is fighting with Alvarez's force." Makarov reports the summary.
"You drove him off to Alvarez?!" Lahar is surprised because he can't understand how they could do that.
"We didn't drive him off, we ran away from him and he chased us. Because we didn't want to bring him to Ishgar, we moved to the west. We thought he would just leave after chasing us for so long, but he actually chased us all the way to Alvarez. The Alvarez's border patrols detected us and one of their Spriggan 12 ca. We found a way to slip away when Acnologia's sight was set on them." Makarov makes a short report that sums up everything.
"Really?! That ans now Acnologia is fighting Alvarez's army?"
"That's the situation when we escaped. We don't know what happened after that because we focused on escaping. We've made sure to take detours just in case Acnologia or Alvarez's army chased after us. But I think it's best to stay on guard for a few days. I'm sure we will hear news about what happened in Alvarez soon. We can think about our next move after that."
Makarov doesn't say anything about them hiding in Isobu's dinsion and watching the battles in Alvarez. He knows it's best to hide that ability of Alex and hide more details about this incident because he can't trust the Council.
"I see. Well, it makes sense that you could only run away from that Acnologia. We've called the 4 Gods of Ishgar and the 4 should arrive soon. But if Acnologia has really gone, then they won't need to co."
Apparently, the Council has prepared so teleportation magic tools for the 4 Gods of Ishgar in case they really need to fight Acnologia. But they still haven't got those 4 here even after all this ti which really pissed Alex because they moved so slow.
If they have teleportation magic tools, then they should have already brought the 4 Gods of Ishgar and maybe all 10 Wizard Saints here when Alex and friends went to Alvarez with Acnologia on their tails.
Now it's no wonder that even when Fairy Tail fought Acnologia for so long on Tenrou Island, the Council's help still hadn't arrived in the series. While they might just want Fairy Tail to be destroyed, it might also be because they are just too slow on everything they did.
Anyway, they talk more about what they'll do from now on and it's decided that they all will stay in Hargeon for 3 days to make sure Acnologia won't co here. So Fairy Tail group can't return until then, but it's not a problem for Alex because he just really wants to rest now.
