In a certain corridor within the Dark Demon Castle, Noel and Tsukiyo stood face-to-face.

Black and white magical energy surged from their bodies, spreading outward.

At the center between them, the two auras clashed head-on without yielding, generating intense wind pressure and a sharp screech.

Even this unconscious collision of power produced a combat force enough to impress top-tier sorcerers.

"I will give everything I have to stop you, Lord Nord," Tsukiyo murmured softly, then suddenly burst forth with magic from beneath her feet.

Like an arrow released from a bowstring, she shot toward Noel.

At the sa ti, her arm swung down, and a black magic sword, brimming with destructive force, slashed vertically toward Noel’s head.

"Light’s Protection."

The fierce wind stirred by the magic sword stung Noel’s cheeks, but his expression remained calm.

Facing the oncoming strike, he raised one hand, and a white shield of light appeared in front of him, blocking Tsukiyo’s magic sword.

"..."

Tsukiyo stared at the shield of light expressionlessly.

She showed no frustration at her failed strike, instead channeling more force into her arms.

A second slash imdiately followed, shattering Noel’s light shield completely.

"Piercing Beams – Rapid Fire."

Noel’s expression darkened slightly as multiple magic circles appeared behind him.

From them, a barrage of light spears shot forth, blasting toward Tsukiyo, who had just destroyed his defensive shield.

"Seven Deadly Sins - Gluttony."

Tsukiyo showed no intention of dodging, nor did she make any move to defend herself.

Facing the incoming attack, she simply stood there in silence, as if everything had nothing to do with her.

Yet when Noel’s assault struck her body, it first created ripples like those on water—then vanished without a trace.

"It disappeared... No—it’s been devoured."

The six-pointed star in Noel’s right eye rotated slightly, and he imdiately discerned Tsukiyo’s technique.

Just as the light spears neared the surface of her body, they shattered into raw, primordial energy—and were absorbed by her.

"Turning the opponent’s attack into a source of her own power... Just this one move is enough to drive most wizards into despair. No wonder she’s the one who holds the Second Throne within the Demon God’s Soul."

Noel looked at Tsukiyo with a serious gaze.

Though this single ability wasn’t enough to pose a true threat to him, it was indeed more than enough to make the majority of magic users feel utterly hopeless.

"But... it’s not without flaws."

A glint of light flickered in Noel’s right eye as he said softly, "The absorption and conversion process isn’t fast enough, and during the transformation phase, it seems she can’t launch an attack..."

A subtle, nearly imperceptible flicker passed across Tsukiyo’s face.

She replied in a calm tone,

"You saw through the essence of my magic just from one glance? That’s... an impressively terrifying insight."

"You flatter . Now then, let’s continue. I still have to move forward, so I can’t afford to waste ti here."

As Noel spoke, white magical energy coiled around his body.

Without hesitation, he charged straight toward Tsukiyo.

"Holy Light – Radiant Blaze!"

"Close-quarters combat? Just what I wanted."

Tsukiyo raised her black sword to et Noel head-on.

Boom!

A thunderous blast rang out the mont they collided, like a cannon going off.

The shockwave of energy exploded outward, sending cracks across the floor and walls.

Yet the two combatants were completely unaffected—relentlessly unleashing a furious barrage of consecutive strikes without pause.

White radiance and black magic clashed incessantly.

Every second, the two exchanged dozens of blows.

The turbulence generated from their collisions shattered into countless fragnts of energy, scattering as millions of glittering particles.

In an instant, the entire corridor beca engulfed in a dense storm of magical energy, with only two blurred silhouettes—one black, one white—flashing through the haze in a frenzied dance.

"This can’t go on."

Feeling the rapid depletion of power within her, Tsukiyo’s brow furrowed slightly.

"A prolonged stalemate like this is bad for . Lord Nord is likely holding back, conserving his strength, so he’s not using divine power. But even just his regular magical reserves far surpass mine."

"I have to turn the tide."

A sharp glint flashed in Tsukiyo’s eyes as her magic surged and flared out violently.

"Seven Deadly Sins - Sloth."

In an instant, her position shifted—vanishing from her original spot over ten ters away and reappearing directly in front of Noel.

Her black sword, wreathed in power, slashed diagonally toward his shoulder.

"!?"

Noel’s pupils contracted at the sudden appearance of Tsukiyo right before him.

His forward montum ca to an abrupt halt, and he quickly flipped backward, narrowly avoiding the strike.

"It’s not over yet."

A cold gleam flickered in Tsukiyo’s eyes.

Her entire body shifted again, reappearing directly above Noel.

The black sword plunged downward, aiming straight for his head.

Shhk— The sound of flesh being torn echoed sharply, and crimson blood spilled forth.

As she watched the blood drip from her sword, Tsukiyo’s expression showed no trace of joy—instead, it grew even colder.

"Spatial shift... No, it’s slightly different."

Noel was gripping the tip of Tsukiyo’s black sword with his hand.

Though blood flowed freely from his palm, his face remained calm, devoid of pain.

"That dissonant, misaligned sensation... Is it... ti? You’re manipulating the flow of ti with your power—using it to close in on in an instant."

Tsukiyo didn’t reply.

She simply tightened her grip and thrust her sword forward again.

Noel released the blade, his body shifting to the side just enough to evade the thrust.

At the sa ti, the two of them instinctively leapt back, creating distance between them.

"The sa technique will beco less effective against Lord Nord with every use... until it’s completely countered."

Tsukiyo gazed at Noel from across the way, her voice a soft murmur, her eyes filled with grim intensity.

"What terrifying insight... No, it’s not just that. It’s the difference in the realms we stand in. Even if my powers exceed what most mages can comprehend, to soone like Lord Nord—who stands in the domain of the gods—it’s still far too shallow."

"Precisely because of that..."

A blue fla flickered in Tsukiyo’s left eye, and the powerful aura already surrounding her surged even higher.

"Only by going all out do I stand a chance of threatening Lord Nord."

"So strong... truly powerful."

Watching Tsukiyo’s rising montum, Noel’s expression gradually turned serious.

"It’s fortunate that I’m the one facing her. If it were one of my companions, they likely would’ve already lost. Her magic... it’s already nearing the limits of what a human can achieve. And yet—even soone like her... only holds the second seat among the Thrones of the Demon God’s Soul."

A slight furrow ford between Noel’s brows as his thoughts turned to the cold, distant boy he had briefly crossed blades with on Tenrou Island.

"The First Throne... That person is even more powerful than Tsukiyo. I hope... nothing happens to them."
