The Open Ground in Front of the Fairy Tail Guild.

Right now, a practice battle was taking place.

"Max, you've improved quite a bit over these past seven years! I'm all fired up!"

Red flas coiled around Natsu's hands like living entities.

With a light swing of his arm, the obedient flas burst forth, transforming into waves of fire.

Forced to defend, Max hurriedly used his magic to manipulate sand, forming a defensive net in front of him to block the flas.

However, despite his efforts, so of the fire still managed to pierce through the sand, surging toward him.

Seeing this, Max's expression changed, and he quickly retreated, narrowly dodging Natsu's attack.

"Hey, hey, are you kidding ? Your ti should have been frozen for seven years, right? anwhile, we've been training hard all this ti. So why does it feel like the gap hasn't closed at all?" Max called out in frustration.

While he had never expected to defeat Natsu, he had at least hoped that after seven years of hard work, the difference in their strength would have lessened.

But judging by the current situation, the gap remained just as wide as before, leaving Max feeling utterly exasperated.

Natsu paused, exhaled lightly, and said, "I'm not the sa person I was back then either. That ti, when I fought that white-haired guy who was as strong as a monster, I nearly used up all my strength. That fight must have been a turning point—I've gotten a lot stronger since then. But still, Max, your strength did surprise ."

"This is enough for . I surrender." Max raised both hands, looking utterly dejected as he made a gesture of defeat.

"I have no interest in a one-sided beatdown."

Natsu chuckled, then swept his mischievous gaze toward Nab, Warren, and Vijeeter.

"So, who's next?"

The three n whom Natsu had set his sights on shivered involuntarily and quickly refused.

They had no interest in being beaten up.

"As expected of Natsu-san," Wendy comnted from the sidelines.

"Still, leaving Natsu aside, the fact that Max has improved so much over the past seven years... If we go by that logic, the strength of other guilds must have..." Noel's gaze turned contemplative.

"This is going to be interesting."

"Yeah, even Max can fight against Natsu to this extent now," Lucy said absentmindedly, completely unaware that she had just dealt Max a heavy blow.

Max could only remain silent, unable to find the words to respond.

"That reminds ," Carla turned her gaze to the mbers who had been in the Fairy Tail guild for the past seven years and asked with a hint of doubt, "With strength like yours, how did you all end up getting pushed around so easily?"

"Well... it might look that way..." Vijeeter scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

"It's because money was involved," Warren said helplessly.

"You can't solve everything with brute force," Nab added with a shrug.

Hearing their responses, a drop of cold sweat unconsciously appeared on Lucy's forehead.

"Even though Master and the others ssed things up..."

"Yeah," the three of them sighed simultaneously.

"But the problem we're facing now is even more serious than we thought," Gray, sitting on a high platform, spoke with a serious expression.

"It's one thing for absolute monsters like Gildarts, Laxus, and Noel to be on another level—"

Noel interrupted with a scowl, "Hey! Can you at least use a different term?"

Gray ignored him and continued, "But our strength is still lagging behind this era. We might not lose to ordinary wizards, but at this rate, we won't even stand a chance of reclaiming our debt from Demon God's Soul for what they did on Tenrou Island."

Noel nodded in agreent. "That's true. Leaving aside offensive power and other factors, if we're talking purely about the total amount of magic power, we who returned from Tenrou Island do have a bit of a problem. Even Max has managed to significantly narrow the gap in magic power compared to Natsu."

"Yeah, even Max-niisan has..." Wendy nodded in agreent.

anwhile, Max, after enduring this string of verbal attacks, was feeling utterly frustrated.

"Seriously... Can't you guys at least acknowledge that I'm still standing right here?"

Happy rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Is there any way to increase magic power all at once?"

Noel thought for a mont before answering, "Well... I'm not entirely sure, but if we're talking about soone who might have that kind of ability, there's probably only one person."

...

Magnolia Forest.

Noel, Natsu, Gray, Lucy, and Wendy stood in front of a treehouse.

Facing them was an elderly man with pink hair—Porlyusica, Fairy Tail's dicinal consultant.

"Um... Madam Porlyusica..." Noel carefully considered his words before cautiously speaking.

"Go ho!"

Before Noel could even finish his sentence, Porlyusica rcilessly slamd the treehouse door shut in their faces, leaving them completely rejected.

"Even after seven years, her personality is still just as exasperating..." Noel sighed, rubbing his forehead.

"Does Madam Porlyusica have any good dicine?" — Lucy.

"Like a potion that can instantly increase our power a hundredfold?" — Natsu.

Noel could only sigh again, knowing that there was no hope left.

With Porlyusica's personality, once she said no, there was no room for negotiation.

Even Makarov, her old friend, constantly struggled with her stubbornness, let alone anyone else.

Still, Noel wasn't too disappointed.

He hadn't expected such a potion to exist in the first place—if it did, then mages wouldn't need to train at all.

"What's wrong, Wendy?"

At that mont, Carla noticed Wendy's unusual expression.

Wendy hesitated as if she wanted to say sothing but ultimately shook her head lightly.

"It's nothing."

Just then, the treehouse door, which had been tightly shut, suddenly swung open.

"Huh?" Noel stared in surprise.

Had Porlyusica actually changed her mind?

Was today the end of the world or sothing?

However, reality often falls short of expectations...

"GO HO!!"

Porlyusica brandished a broom like she was chasing away a pack of rats, waving it aggressively at Noel and the others.

"I hate humans the most! Get lost, get lost!!"

"We'll take our leave now, Madam Porlyusica!"

Among the group, Noel was the fastest—the mont he sensed trouble when the broom ca swinging, he quickly made his escape.

The others, however, weren't so lucky.

"What's with that old lady?!"

"The old man's forr lover!"

"That's NOT true, you idiot!!"

Gray, who foolishly blurted out that rumor, beca Porlyusica's primary target, receiving a direct hit to the back of his head with a thrown apple.
