"What's wrong? Aren't you going to attack? How boring. Then I'll take the offensive instead," Dylan said, as an extrely cold aura wrapped around his hands.
With a sudden burst of speed, he dashed toward Gray and Lyon.
"Ice Blade!"
"Ice-Make: Hedgehog!"
Seeing Dylan charging at them at high speed, both Gray and Lyon's expressions turned extrely serious.
However, retreating wasn't in their nature.
Gray conjured an ice blade in his hand, while Lyon covered his body with countless ice spikes.
The two of them, one in front and one behind, rushed to et Dylan head-on.
Faced with their counterattack, Dylan's body tilted ever so slightly mid-movent in an almost impossible way, narrowly avoiding Gray's ice blade.
At the sa ti, he threw a punch straight at Gray's chest.
Gray let out a muffled grunt and staggered back a step.
Dylan then stomped the ground, instantly increasing his already rapid speed to another level, bypassing Gray and appearing directly in front of Lyon.
Caught off guard, Lyon hastily threw a punch, but Dylan easily caught it with one hand, twisted his wrist to immobilize Lyon, then raised his leg.
Ignoring the ice spikes on Lyon's body, Dylan shattered them with a powerful knee strike, and with the montum still going strong, he drove his knee hard into Lyon's stomach.
The heavy impact caused Lyon's face to twist in pain.
"Lyon! Damn it—Ice Geyser!"
Seeing Lyon falling into a disadvantageous position, Gray quickly activated his magic.
A powerful fountain of freezing energy erupted from the ground, surging straight toward Dylan.
Dylan's lips curved into a slight smirk.
Without even turning his head, he simply extended his right hand, wrapped in freezing energy, and made a horizontal slicing motion.
With just that, he effortlessly deflected Gray's Ice Geyser, sending it crashing into the forest in another direction.
However, Gray's attack was not in vain.
Although Dylan easily diverted it, the force still caused a slight pause in his movents.
Seizing the opportunity, Lyon broke free from Dylan's grip and retreated at high speed.
As he did, he brought both hands together in front of him.
"Ice-Make: White Tiger!!"
"ROAR!!"
A massive ice-ford white tiger took shape, letting out a fierce roar as it lunged at Dylan.
Dylan's expression remained unchanged.
He clasped his hands together, and from the sky, a colossal ice sword suddenly descended.
In an instant, it sliced the ice tiger cleanly in half.
The tiger shattered into countless ice fragnts before it could even resist.
"Ice Prison!"
At the sa ti, Gray leaped into the air, refusing to give Dylan any room to breathe.
A massive cage of ice instantly ford on the ground, temporarily trapping Dylan inside.
"Ice-Make: Ice Dragon!!"
Lyon spread his arms wide, unleashing his strongest Ice-Make spell.
A gigantic ice dragon charged straight toward Dylan, who was still confined within the Ice Prison.
Dylan chuckled softly as the freezing energy around his right hand rapidly condensed into a thick, sturdy chain.
With a powerful swing, the chain shot through the gaps in the Ice Prison, wrapping tightly around the incoming ice dragon.
Gripping the icy chain with both hands, Dylan let out a shout and exerted trendous force, astonishingly hurling the massive ice dragon away.
The dragon crashed through countless trees, toppling them in its wake.
"Now's our chance!! Ice Cannon!"
Seizing the mont when Dylan was occupied with throwing the ice dragon, Gray had already ford a highly concentrated, massive ice cannon in his hands.
With Dylan's hands still occupied, leaving him unable to counter imdiately, the enormous ice cannon fired, transforming into a blinding white beam of energy.
It locked onto Dylan, cutting off all possible escape routes, and charged toward him with unstoppable montum.
"Damn..."
For a brief mont, Dylan's face showed an expression of shock and panic, as if he had been truly caught off guard.
However, in the next instant—like a masked perforr shedding his disguise—the panic vanished completely.
Instead, he revealed a mischievous grin, like a child who had just pulled off a successful prank.
"...Did you really think I'd say that? Idiots~!"
Faced with Gray's overwhelming Ice Cannon, Dylan perford an action that left both Gray and Lyon utterly speechless.
His body tilted slightly backward, and he opened his mouth wide.
The incoming Ice Cannon, which was supposed to deal massive damage, suddenly seed to be drawn by so mysterious force—astonishingly, Dylan swallowed it whole, as effortlessly as drinking water.
"Y-You... No way...!" Gray stared in shock, as a lightning-fast realization struck his mind.
Dylan wiped the corner of his mouth, his grin widening.
Slowly leaning back, he spoke in an almost playful tone.
"Have you figured it out? Well, I suppose that can't be helped—the signs were just too obvious. Now then, this little ga is over..."
"You're... a Dragon Slayer!?"
"Ice Dragon's Roar!!!"
A bone-chilling, devastating storm of ice burst forth from Dylan's mouth.
The overwhelming magic-fueled blast surged forward with unstoppable force, crashing toward Lyon and Gray like an avalanche ant to annihilate everything in its path.
Under such imnse power, the two had no chance to resist—they were utterly overwheld and defeated.
After Dylan's Roar, everything within a 200-ter radius in front of him had transford into a vast, fan-shaped frozen wasteland.
Everything caught in the path of his attack was encased in solid ice.
At the very center of it all, Gray and Lyon were both trapped within massive ice blocks, their faces still frozen in expressions of shock—completely unable to move.
"L-Lyon-sama!!!"
Sherry, who had been watching from the sidelines, stood in stunned silence.
She still hadn't fully processed what had just happened.
How? Just monts ago, Gray and Lyon had been holding their own—how had they suddenly lost in an instant?
But the mont reality finally sank in, she bolted straight toward Lyon.
"Oh right, looks like there's still a little fish that slipped through the net."
Seeing Sherry rushing toward Lyon, Dylan suddenly rembered her presence.
With a casual flick of his hand, he sent a wave of freezing air in her direction.
Under normal circumstances, Sherry—though no match for Dylan—would have at least been able to put up so resistance.
However, at this mont, overwheld by panic and worry for Lyon's safety, her mind was in complete disarray.
She didn't even attempt to dodge.
In just a few seconds, she was completely encased in ice, frozen solid like an ice sculpture.
"Hmm, alright, that takes care of everything. That was actually a bit more entertaining than I expected."
Dylan clapped his hands together with a satisfied expression and walked over to where Lyon and Gray were frozen in massive blocks of ice.
He leaned in slightly and spoke softly:
"Not bad. Among all the Ice Mages I've encountered, you two are definitely among the best. You even managed to push into using a fraction of my Ice Dragon Slayer Magic. But... this is as far as it goes. The difference in our strength is overwhelming. No matter how flashy your Ice Make magic is, if it lacks real power behind it, then in the end, it's nothing more than fragile decoration."
"Still, I have to comnd you both for putting on a decent performance. So, I'll spare your lives. In a little while, the ice will lt on its own. Until then, just take your ti and reflect on your situation."
Just as Dylan was musing to himself, a voice suddenly echoed in his mind—it was Brain.
"Lord Dylan, we have located Nirvana. The coordinates are at..."
Dylan clicked his tongue in mild irritation.
"Tch, already? That was fast. I haven't even found Lord Nord or Natsu yet. Oh well, I guess I'll head to Nirvana first. I'll run into them sooner or later anyway. Might as well finish up what Garlos assigned first."
