"What in God's na is Alia doing with Maria? I thought she said she was busy at her office?" Tina muttered under her breath, her heart pounding like a drum as she zood in and out of the picture to get a clearer view.
Maria was looking like her usual cheerful self, beaming and stretching her hand towards Alia, who in turn was reciprocating the sa gesture.
"Tina, is sothing the matter?" Remy asked when he observed her alard expression.
"It's nothing," Tina said in a less convincing voice as she dialled the number of the person who sent her the picture.
"That doesn't look like nothing to ." Remy lazily stood up and approached her. He perched on the makeup table, his caring eyes observing Tina's contoured face and the phone glued to her ear.
"Did sothing..."
"Shh!" Tina placed her forefinger on her lips as she said into the phone mouthpiece, standing up and walking away from Remy.
"Where did you get that picture from?"
"The Salvine General Hospital." A female voice replied from the other end.
"The hospital! How co?"
Tina was slightly panicked, thinking sothing bad her happened to her future mother-in-law. But then the woman she saw smiling and laughing with Alia didn't look one bit sick. If anything, she looks very healthy, beautiful and even younger.
"After we followed the target to the hospital, we discovered that she ca there for her monthly check-up."
"Oh yeah...she's diabetic," Tina recalled. "But was she alone at that ti?"
"Yes, ma'am. She ca alone."
"So at what point did she co in contact with Alia?" Tina asked.
"We have no idea. But I think they know each other from the way they were conversing at the reception waiting room."
"Why do you say that?" Tina's forehead furrowed.
"Well, according to my team mber who was seated inside the waiting room, she overheard Miss Alia informing her bodyguard that she was waiting for a friend before the target showed up."
"A friend!" Tina's tone slowly switched from curious and alard to furious and jealous.
"Yes ma'am, that is what she called her. They both left the hospital together but they entered their separate vehicles."
Tina's face hardened. "Is that all?"
"No ma'am. They were followed to the rry Bloom restaurant.
"What!" Tina's anger switched to panic, beads of sweating forming on her forehead.
Maria wasn't the type to dine with any random lady in public. She was very protective of her son and usually preferred older companies to keep away the desperados. If she was breaking this routine of hers, then the lady in question must be very important and known to Blaze.
Remy ca in front of Tina, his concerned gaze hovering around her as she resud speaking on the phone.
"Did you follow them into the restaurant?"
"Yes, but they booked a reserved section. So we couldn't tell what they were doing or listen to their conversation."
"F*cking shit!" Tina cursed out loud. "Isn't this supposed to be the twenty-first century? Isn't there a tech gizmo that can allow you to eavesdrop from a mile away, you f*cking dick head?"
"Sorry ma'am, we didn't co prepared but next ti we will be sure to capture their conversation."
"How long did she spend with the target?"
"An hour plus."
Tina started pacing up and down the room with Remy following her about like a lost motherless chick. Different thoughts were clamouring for attention in her head. She took in a deep breath to stifle her anxiety and spoke more calmly.
"New mission, I want you to keep a tag on both Alia and all three of the forr targets."
"Consider it done, ma'am."
Tina ended the call and tossed it on the table, all her antenna's beeping red of a possible competition.
"Tina, can you please sit down and talk to ? You're freaking the hell out of ." Remy pleaded.
"I think I need to see soone," Tina said, going for her handbag that was on the table.
"Right now!" Remy's eyes widened.
"No, the day after tomorrow." Tina hissed and pushed him out of her way.
"What about the rehearsal, it's starting in an hour."
"I'll be back before then." She forced a smile as she slid on her sunglasses. "In the anti, cover up for . If Jeremy asks where I've gone to, tell him that I was having a stomach ache and I needed to get so drugs at the pharmacy."
"All liars will go to hell," Remy said in a teasing voice.
"At least you get there before , since you are the one doing the lying," Tina said as she opened the door.
"Wait!" Remy hurried over to the make-up table and picked up her script. "At least keep yourself acquainted with your character while you are doing god knows what."
"That is why you're the best. Always one step ahead." She blew kisses to him and hurried out of the room.

Alia tried to focus her mind solely on work after returning to the office.
Since she had earlier canceled her schedule for the day, she spent the rest of her working hours at the lab fine-tuning her new product.
In accordance with her laboratory rules about keeping phones turned off, Alia intentionally left her phone back in the office to allow her to focus on work.
By the ti she returned to her office to close for the day, she was shocked to see over thirty missed calls.
So of these calls were from her Dad, Joanna, Stacy, Tina, and surprisingly Blaze.
In addition to the calls were a few text ssages which she read out to herself.
The first ssage was from her Dad apologizing about the charade that went down at the hospital and also letting her know that her grandma was feeling better.
The second ssage was from Tina asking if they could et and talk.
The third ssage was from Stacy, trying to find out how her day went and asking if she was available for lunch.
The fourth ssage that brought a smile to her face and a warmth to her heart was from Maria, telling her not to overstress herself and return ho on ti. At the end of the ssage were emojis of kisses and hugs.
And the last ssage that wiped all the smile away from her face was from Blaze asking if she had a fun day, relishing secret admirers, making new friends and hugging a man.
The last word, 'man' was written in bold letters.
