As long as one continued heading north they would eventually reach the centre of the Lower Plains and along the way, the energy in the atmosphere would beco denser.

It seed to be a hole in space and also where the energy in the Lower Plains was being supplied from and around the forsaken centre was where the energy was densest.
Because of that, all the largest and biggest powers were set up around it and it also beca a forbidden area that nobody could approach without needing to face many extrely powerful cultivators that guarded it.
The reason for its protection was unknown to even the Jade Empress and it made Lex even more curious to see it for himself and his journey had just begun, so he had no ti to waste.
Hesitation, doubt and fear would rely hinder his judgent and Lex had too many things that he wanted to do, achieve and experience to waste his ti on a small island.
Although it was the size of the previous continent that he was on, the size of the entire island could only be compared to a small insignificant village on the large continents.
There was still so much to explore on the Lower Plains and Lex had a long way to go and many dangers, enemies and obstacles that he would have to overco, so he needed to strengthen himself, his companions and the fox beast army as much as possible.
Within a few minutes, all three of them sensed that figures were approaching them from all directions and seed to be tracking them and closing in on them, attempting to surround them.
Surrounding them made it clear that their intentions weren't peaceful and they were all clearly ard, capable and intelligent and also had laid many traps all over the island that he had to avoid.
Lex was confident in the sharp senses and intelligence of the fox beasts, so didn't worry about them being caught in the traps, and was also confident in their teamwork, combat power and survival skills, so also wasn't worried about them dying.
While he had the Scouting Eye and Perceptive Eye that allowed him to see through any sneak attack, trap or danger that ca his way, and Ella and Angela also had their own thods to detect dangers around them.
With that, they were still able to avoid all traps despite their shallow understanding and information about arrays, since the arrays that were used and found don't their previous continent were very basic and simple when compared to the one that they ca across on the island so far.
"We will wait here and et those surrounding us. Let's see what exactly these people want, are capable of and what they look like" decided Lex.
Angela was calm and cold, prepared to fight at any mont, while Ella and Lex appeared very relaxed and interested to see how everything would turn out.
anwhile, each of the fox beasts squads had also been intercepted by other groups of individuals from the island and the people were very surprised by how organised, powerful and intelligent the fox beasts were.
"They seem to be under the control of other people. Most likely the three others that are on the island"
"We haven't had much prey for a while and if they have this many beasts under their control, they must have many treasures and resources that we can steal. Maybe they might have so pretty ladies for us to add to our collection"
"Boss, do we have permission to eliminate these beasts. They will be of great use for beast cores, but they don't have much at and also seem to be quite capable" communicated the leader of the group using a rune communication device.

It was a large group of around 50 cultivators and most of them were peak Heaven Mortal Cultivators, while there were also a few Golden Mortal Cultivators.
They also all seed very skilled, confident and capable as cultivators and all the other fox beasts units had been intercepted by groups of similar power and size that had received the sa orders.
Lex, Ella and Angela stood close to each other and covered each other's backs as they were surrounded by over 100 cultivators that were all also peak Heaven Mortal and Golden Mortal Cultivators.
