Chapter 171: Chapter 166: Fierce Battle! 2

’Damn it.’

This ti, Mu Chen failed to stop it. Through the gash carved open by his Profound Jade Fan, he saw Aiolos inside. The puppet was half-kneeling on the ground, arms crossed over his chest with fists clenched, eyes blazing with rage. It was a fleeting glimpse. The next instant, the surrounding sand and dust swiftly filled the rift Mu Chen had created.

SWOOSH!

The Shattered Star Lock Chain shot off the wall behind Mu Chen, whipping around to form a tight defensive periter. Through their connection, the chain understood Mu Chen’s thoughts: ’Aiolos’s unknown Combat Skill isn’t just for defense.’

’It seems this Combat Skill needs to charge. In that case...!’ A pure blue light erupted from Mu Chen’s eyes as an Ice Crystal Mark materialized between his brows. A thick ice mist instantly filled the surroundings, and the entire twelfth floor was quickly coated in a layer of frost. With a *snap*, the Profound Jade Fan opened. The ice mist grew denser, and the fan’s surface beca coated in a pure blue sheen, as if it were forged from Profound Ice. At the sa ti, Mu Chen’s figure completely vanished into the mist.

"Nine Waves Technique... Ice! Prison! Cold! Mist!"

Each word was enunciated, the four words echoing like a Brahma Sound throughout the space. An endless barrage of hissing and crackling followed as countless Profound Ice Thorns shot forward. In just three seconds, the entire twelfth floor was completely covered in Profound Ice Thorns. Mu Chen’s figure gradually reappeared from within this blue world.

The blue glow in his eyes and the frosty qi from the fan both dissipated, but Mu Chen’s expression didn’t relax in the slightest. On the previous floor, the instant Ice Prison Cold Mist had ended, the Tower of Calamity had announced his perfect clear. This ti, however, it had been nearly five seconds since he’d unleashed the technique, and there was no reaction from the Tower. The Shattered Star Lock Chain once again coiled around him. ’The battle isn’t over!’

Suddenly, a sky-shattering fluctuation of Primordial Power erupted from Aiolos’s location. In an instant, countless Profound Ice Thorns shattered into pieces. Mu Chen’s expression turned grave. "Just as I thought," he muttered, "Ice Prison Cold Mist is useless against a Fifth-Ring Martial King!"

The words had barely left his lips when a muffled groan echoed from the distance. Mu Chen subconsciously executed his Mist Step. In a Flash of Thunder, he had already retreated several dozen ters.

’At this distance, I should have enough ti to dodge his Combat Skill.’

Opening the Profound Jade Fan, he rapidly activated his Purple Sky Demon Pupils. The black markings around his eyes grew even deeper as the Demon Pupils operated, creating a stark contrast with his pale cheeks.

CRACK! A sound like the world collapsing was followed by a violent wave of Primordial Power sweeping over from the distance.

"Deep Red Impact!"

A sky-shattering roar shattered the silence of the ice-blue world. Countless boulders erupted from Aiolos’s position, shooting out in all directions like giant cannonballs. The imnse force generated intense friction with the air, superheating the rock. They looked like falling cots, rcilessly tearing through and destroying the surrounding Profound Ice Spikes.

Mu Chen saw it clearly. Although these fiery boulders could directly destroy the Profound Ice Spikes, their scorching aura failed to lt them in the slightest.

"My strength... is still too weak!" Mu Chen tightened his grip on the Profound Jade Fan and said with a sigh.

’If I weren’t just a Three-Ring Martial Spirit, how could these Profound Ice Spikes be so fragile? I’m sure that if my Martial Artist Realm had reached the level of a Martial King, Aiolos would have been defeated the mont I unleashed Ice Prison Cold Mist.’

SWOOSH!

Finally, a massive, deep-red boulder broke through the layers of Profound Ice Spikes and hurtled toward Mu Chen. The pressure was imnse! It was a crushing force that scread of mortal danger. He could even envision the disastrous aftermath of trying to block it head-on. But given the boulder’s speed, he had already lost any chance to dodge.

’What should I do?!’

Dense beads of sweat trickled down Mu Chen’s temple. At that very mont, his consciousness suddenly flared. Stunned, Mu Chen turned his head and saw the three Ice Crystal Petals that had appeared behind his back.

’That’s right! I still have the Red Lotus Ice Technique!’

Without ti to think, Mu Chen quickly used his consciousness to sever one of the three fine threads. With a PING, one of the Ice Crystal Petals behind him instantly shattered, transforming into tiny blue Ice Crystals that flowed into his arm. An imnse power instantly filled him.

"Thunderbolt Slash!!!"

With a furious roar, Mu Chen stomped his foot and shot into the air. He swung the Profound Jade Fan back, and with a flick of his wrist, Thunder Light enveloped its entire surface. With a thunderclap that echoed through the world, he swung the fan to et the approaching boulder.

CLANG!

The giant boulder was smashed to pieces by Mu Chen’s Thunderbolt Slash as if it were made of tofu. But before he could even feel a sliver of joy, a massive iron fist slamd into his Profound Jade Fan the instant the boulder disintegrated.

His arm buckled. Mu Chen felt a trendous force travel from his wrist through his entire body. Pain! A searing, tearing pain! The web of his hand, which had just healed, split open again, blood dripping from his palm through the air. But Mu Chen did not back down. He *could not* back down. To retreat now ant defeat. With a furious roar, he pushed his Primordial Power to its absolute limit. A vortex of energy erupted from beneath his feet, completely enveloping him.

The two were still locked in a stalemate in mid-air, but Aiolos clearly had plenty of power in reserve. Mu Chen, in contrast, was like a spent arrow at the end of its flight. He was on the verge of collapse, but he held on through sheer, unyielding willpower.

Aiolos let out a surprised grunt. "Kid! Give up!" he said in a low voice. "If you keep this up, you’ll lose that arm!"

"Give up?" Mu Chen snapped his head up, his eyes blazing with endless fighting spirit and unyielding will. A cold voice escaped his lips. "I, Mu Chen, will! NEV! ER! GIVE! UP! Now... break!"

The instant Mu Chen roared the last word, the two remaining Ice Crystal Petals behind him shattered simultaneously, transforming into tiny Ice Crystals that poured into his already numb arm. An unprecedentedly powerful force filled his arm—a power so imnse that it even frightened him. The stacking of three Ice Crystal Petals had actually multiplied his strength so many tis! At this mont, Mu Chen felt as if he could knock Aiolos back with a casual swing of his arm!

"Break!!"

Following Mu Chen’s shout, the Thunderbolt Slash erupted like a sudden thunderclap in the dead of night, illuminating the entire space of the twelfth floor.

Mu Chen swung his Profound Jade Fan with all his might. An imnse force slamd into Aiolos, sending him flying backward. A four-ter-tall Armored Giant had been blasted away—just how much power did that take?!

Watching Aiolos fly backward, a gratified smile touched Mu Chen’s lips. The next instant, however, his entire arm went numb. With a SWOOSH, the Profound Jade Fan fell from his grasp and embedded itself in the ground with a THUD.

Mu Chen stared blankly at his own limp, powerless arm and said with a wry smile, "It seems this kind of amplification can’t be overused. Otherwise, the physical body still can’t bear such imnse power. I was too reckless..."

After being knocked away, Aiolos didn’t imdiately stand up. Instead, he raised his arm, opened his palm, and looked at the back of his hand. There, a huge gash had appeared on the surface. Seeing this gash, a trace of surprise and confusion appeared in Aiolos’s eyes. No one knew better than him what material his puppet body was made of. It was Celestial teorite Gold, which could be called the most durable tal. Even a King’s Sacred Weapon would have difficulty leaving such a large wound.

’If it weren’t for the restrictions of the Tower of Calamity, my Martial Artist Realm as a King would have long ago surpassed the Martial Venerable Realm. But for various reasons, a Great Power from the ancient past sealed

in these Ancient Ruins to guard the twentieth floor of the Tower of Calamity. I’m even forced to match my Martial Artist Realm to that of any challenger. My realm may change, but this body forged from Celestial teorite Gold doesn’t beco any weaker. It is still the sa Celestial teorite Gold that even a King’s Sacred Weapon cannot cut!’

’But what happened today? So little brat holding what looks like an unremarkable black iron fan easily left a white mark on my chest. I could let that slide... but this?’ Staring at the wide gash on the back of his hand, Aiolos fell silent.

After a long while, Aiolos suddenly sat up. He looked at Mu Chen dispassionately, his gaze drifting to Mu Chen’s limp, hanging arm. "You no longer have the ability to fight," he said. "Although you’ve surprised , your strength is still not enough. Leave this place... You’ve already lost." After speaking, Aiolos didn’t spare Mu Chen another glance and slowly turned to walk toward the ruins.

"Is that so?" Mu Chen’s eyes were perfectly clear as he spoke, his voice calm. "Because I feel... I still have one more fight in ."

As his words fell, specks of starlight suddenly flickered in Mu Chen’s eyes. A stream of the Power of Nature flowed out from within his body. The appearance of this Power of Nature was too sudden. Aiolos, who was about to enter the ruins, abruptly spun around. He slowly raised his head and looked at the youth standing in the air like a divine being, an unprecedented shock flashing in his eyes.

"The Power of Nature! Just who is this kid!"

Just after shouting this, Aiolos suddenly found that he couldn’t move his body an inch, as if an invisible force had bound him.

’So it really is the Power of Nature.’

The surrounding scenery gradually began to change. The battlefield of desolate yellow sand suddenly transford into a tranquil river. A lonely boat drifted slowly on the water’s surface. On the riverbank, fresh and beautiful flowers blood with abandon. Dewdrops slid down the petals, reflecting the starlight that filled the sky, appearing sowhat dazzling. In the distance, the shadows of trees swayed, and the rustling sound added a hint of life to the quiet night...
