Chapter 170: Chapter 165: Intense Battle 1

"ROAR!"

Before Mu Chen’s rapidly shrinking pupils, Aiolos’s giant fist ca crashing down with a BOOM. The imnse force whipped up a powerful storm, sending yellow sand flying everywhere as the massive shockwave swept across the entire twelfth floor.

"Heh, you actually dodged it. It seems no weakling makes it this far."

Aiolos grunted as he stood up. He opened his giant palm and spun it, creating a whirlwind that instantly blew away the vision-obscuring sand, revealing the terrifying scene.

On the vast sandy arena, not a single grain of sand remained, save for a giant crater twenty ters in diater and ten ters deep. To one side of the crater stood Mu Chen, who had just dodged the previous strike.

"Hah... hah..." A drop of cold sweat trickled down his cheek. With a pale face, Mu Chen stared at the enormous crater before him, panting heavily.

’What terrifying power!’

Just as the giant fist had crashed down, the Water Attribute Primordial Qi around Mu Chen had rapidly condensed. In an instant, a dozen massive Profound Ice Walls materialized. Mu Chen had originally thought these ice walls could at least stall the blow for a mont, but when he saw them get torn apart like thin sheets of paper, he knew Aiolos hadn’t been bluffing.

Fortunately, though shocked, Mu Chen hadn’t forgotten to execute his Illusory Step Technique, barely dodging the direct impact of the punch. Even so, the fierce shockwave of Qi Force alone felt oppressive.

’Looks like I really have to go all out.’

With that thought, Mu Chen clenched his left fist. The space around Aiolos suddenly froze, and a giant ice sculpture abruptly took shape. Behind Mu Chen, three Ice Crystal Petals appeared out of thin air as his Red Lotus Ice Technique activated on its own. Mu Chen knew this Profound Ice Seal couldn’t hold Aiolos for even half a second, but half a second was all he needed to prepare a fierce attack.

With a snap, his Profound Jade Fan opened. Mu Chen took a step forward and, empowered by Thunder Light, shot into the sky with a WHOOSH, entering Aiolos’s field of vision. A fluctuation of Water Attribute Primordial Qi beneath his feet created a thin sheet of Profound Ice. Mu Chen then executed his Illusory Step Technique again mid-air. Amidst surging Thunder Light, he charged toward Aiolos’s face like a lightning bolt. At that very mont, Aiolos finally broke free from the ice. The entire escape took less than a second, proving a Profound Ice Seal of this level was practically useless against the suprely powerful Aiolos.

"ROAR!"

Having just broken free, Aiolos didn’t hesitate, swinging his Iron Fist at Mu Chen. The fierce Qi Force once again bore down on Mu Chen with imnse pressure. Fortunately, Mu Chen had anticipated the imdiate attack. The instant Aiolos broke the seal, he circulated his Primordial Power to begin Walking on Air. With a quick twist, he dodged the blow and circled around to Aiolos’s back.

Gripping his Profound Jade Fan tightly, Mu Chen’s body spun abruptly. He beca a whirlwind, locking onto Aiolos’s neck as he slashed out.

"CLANG!!!"

tal t tal. A crisp sound rang out as countless sparks flew from Aiolos’s neck. Aiolos felt a massive force strike the back of his neck, causing his body to lurch forward uncontrollably. In terms of strength, Mu Chen was by no ans weak.

"Damn it!"

With a furious roar, Aiolos maintained his forward-leaning posture, stretched his arms out, and suddenly smashed them behind him! A corner of Mu Chen’s mouth lifted into a smirk. The blue, snowflake-like Ice Crystals in his eyes were spinning rapidly. That’s right—under the perception of his Purple Sky Demon Pupils, Aiolos’s every move was clear as day to Mu Chen.

"WHOOSH!"

Without even waiting for Mu Chen’s command, the Shattered Star Lock Chain shot out from his wrist like a silver bolt of lightning. With a CLINK, it embedded itself into the wall dozens of ters behind him. A sharp tug on the chain’s end pulled Mu Chen’s figure directly out of Aiolos’s attack range.

"WHOOSH!"

The sound of air being torn asunder announced that Aiolos’s attack had missed its mark. Because the strike t only air, Aiolos’s body lost its balance due to inertia, and he tilted to the side.

’Now’s my chance!’

A sharp glint flashed in his purple pupils. A block of Profound Ice instantly appeared beneath Mu Chen’s feet. Thunder Light erupted, and his body instantly transford into a bolt of lightning. As he charged toward Aiolos, his body spun again—another Vortex Battle Skill. With a WHOOSH, Mu Chen’s figure shot under Aiolos’s armpit.

"CLANG!!!"

Sparks flew everywhere!

Feeling the pain in the web of his hand, Mu Chen frowned to himself. ’Such powerful defense!’

Braving the flying sparks, he once again used the Shattered Star Lock Chain to retreat from Aiolos’s attack range. Aiolos, already off-balance from inertia, was struck by Mu Chen’s powerful force and could no longer maintain his stability, toppling over with a crash.

Mu Chen didn’t know how much the four-ter-tall Armored Giant weighed, but the mont Aiolos fell, the entire space of the twelfth floor trembled uncontrollably.

"A perfect chance!"

Mu Chen shouted. With Aiolos on the ground and completely defenseless, it was the perfect chance. With a single thought, a block of Profound Ice appeared under his feet as a foothold. As Thunder Light erupted, his body once again beca a lightning bolt, diving toward Aiolos. He spun again, his Profound Jade Fan rcilessly slashing down on the arm Aiolos was using to push himself up.

With a CLINK, the blow knocked Aiolos’s arm aside. This slight deviation was enough to make Aiolos’s half-risen body collapse back to the ground.

The Shattered Star Lock Chain cooperated perfectly, shooting out and embedding itself in a wall to pull Mu Chen back. Using the imnse montum, Mu Chen crouched on the wall for a mont before launching himself out again like a cannonball. His body beca a whirlwind, and his Profound Jade Fan cut through the air with a SWOOSH SWOOSH as he slashed at the fallen Aiolos.

"CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

The repeated Swirling Slashes made it impossible for Aiolos to get up. His huge, heavy body gave him endless power and a solid defense, but it also robbed him of his mobility and flexibility. Mu Chen had seen through this, which was why he had devised such a tactic. He only needed to last for six minutes to pass the trial, so he planned to just keep whittling Aiolos down.

Ti passed slowly. Mu Chen was starting to find the constant Swirling Slashes a bit tedious. A flash of inspiration struck him: since he could use his fists to execute the Thunderbolt Fist and Blast Fist, could he also apply the principles of those Fist Techniques to the slashes of his Profound Jade Fan?

The mont this idea appeared, he couldn’t get it out of his head. He began circulating his Primordial Power according to the thod for Thunderbolt Fist. With a surge, Thunder Light traveled up his arm and onto the Profound Jade Fan, covering its entire surface. Mu Chen’s face lit up with joy, and he exclaid, "It really works!"

"Thunderbolt Slash!"

With a low shout, Mu Chen charged straight at Aiolos and unleashed another Swirling Slash. A Flash of Thunder erupted, and the strike landed viciously on Aiolos’s chest as if it would tear space itself. Empowered by Primordial Power, this Thunderbolt Slash was countless tis stronger than his regular slashes. A burst of Qi Force exploded from Aiolos’s chest, sending him sliding back several ters. At the sa ti, a white gash appeared on his chest plate.

"So strong!"

Staring blankly at the Profound Jade Fan in his hand, Mu Chen was thrilled. ’If Thunderbolt Fist can be applied to the Profound Jade Fan, what about Blast Fist?’ He imdiately put the thought into action. He rapidly circulated his Primordial Power, and a Fla Vortex suddenly appeared on his arm. However, the mont the Fla Vortex ford, it was imdiately absorbed by the Profound Jade Fan and settled firmly over its surface.

In that mont, Mu Chen finally understood. It wasn’t him who had guided the power of the Thunderbolt Fist to the Profound Jade Fan; the fan itself had absorbed the power on its own, just as it had now done with the Blast Fist.

The Shattered Star Lock Chain whipped out with a SWISH. This ti, Mu Chen was even bolder, embedding the chain directly into Aiolos’s abdon. With a hard pull, Mu Chen’s figure shot forward, leaving a long afterimage. He swung his arm, and the massive Profound Jade Fan, wreathed in scorching flas, slashed down with a SIZZLE onto the mark left by the Thunderbolt Slash.

"BOOM!"

A huge explosion, like a detonating cannonball, sent Aiolos’s body sliding back over ten ters. The recoil flung Mu Chen far back via the Shattered Star Lock Chain, allowing him to successfully escape the blast radius of the Blast Fist and reach a safe zone.

"It worked!"

He chuckled. The rest of the fight was completely one-sided. Mu Chen launched a relentless series of combos, constantly using Walking on Air, the Shattered Star Lock Chain, Elental Power Materialization, and his Blast and Thunderbolt Fists.

Ti ticked by, second by second. Four minutes had passed since Mu Chen began the trial. The Power Puppet, Aiolos, was still on the ground, his eyes filled with imnse fury. ’To think that I, the dignified Guardian of the twentieth level of the Puppet Dao, am being beaten so badly by so brat with a Three-Ring Martial Spirit that I can’t even fight back! How can a forr King like

tolerate this?’

"ROAR! Earth Shattering Barrier!"

Following Aiolos’s explosive roar, the entire twelfth floor of the Tower of Calamity began to shake violently. Huge chunks of rock rose high up from the ground. Under Aiolos’s control, these massive rocks quickly gathered around him, soon forming a giant stone sphere on his surface. The sphere was incredibly thick, yet unusually soft. When Mu Chen tried to slash it with his Profound Jade Fan, it felt like striking a swamp; he couldn’t exert any force at all.

Finally, after being relentlessly attacked for four minutes, Aiolos stood up once more...
