Chapter 127: Chapter 124: Pine Wind Sword Slash

From a distance, Chen Li, who was weaving through the crowd, caught sight of Chen Fu being injured again. His eyes widened in fury. "Brother Fu, I’ll take him! You handle these wastes." With that, Chen Li stomped his foot and his figure flashed, appearing beside Mu Guangyi. He locked onto Mu Guangyi and launched a relentless barrage of punches. Seizing the opportunity, Chen Fu spun around, taking Chen Li’s place to charge into the crowd.

But before he could even throw his first punch, a beautiful figure in white appeared before him like a Spirit Butterfly, blocking his path. Chen Fu rely glanced at Mu Bingling before a wicked smile spread across his face. "So, it’s Mu Bingling. I didn’t expect you to be with the Mu Family. Heh heh, just as beautiful as the rumors say. It seems this old man is in for a treat today."

As he spoke, Chen Fu ford his hand into a claw and lunged for Mu Bingling’s arm. But before his hand could reach her, Mu Bingling’s figure flickered and vanished from his sight. When she reappeared, she was already in an empty, open area. Chen Fu had now set his sights on Mu Bingling. A green Martial Ring materialized beneath his feet, and with a flash, he appeared beside her.

"So you prefer a more private spot, eh? Heh heh, this old man will indulge you." With that, Chen Fu reached out again, trying to capture Mu Bingling. But her body moved like a graceful Spirit Butterfly, now near, now far, now left, now right. Her step technique was ethereal and impossible to predict—this was her Butterfly Dance. Chen Fu was using nearly his full strength, yet he couldn’t even touch the hem of her clothes, which infuriated him.

"Hmph, let’s see you run now." Chen Fu let out a low growl as the Primordial Power of his Martial Spirit Realm erupted once more. He clenched his fist and threw an Overlord Fist, and an earthy yellow phantom of a fist rapidly descended upon Mu Bingling. BOOM! With a deafening roar, Mu Bingling managed to dodge in ti, but she was still shaken by the powerful impact of the Primordial Power. She was not Mu Chen. As only an Eighth-Ring Great Martial Master, her limit for fighting above her level was a One-Ring Martial Spirit. She was bound to be injured when facing a Martial Spirit expert.

Mu Bingling frowned. A thread of icy Primordial Power quickly suppressed the roiling qi and blood in her body. She activated her Butterfly Dance step technique again, but this ti, she didn’t use it to dodge. She used it to attack. Forming a palm with one hand, her Ice Attribute Primordial Power flowed along her arm as a burst of cold energy gathered in her palm. She ruthlessly pressed it toward the center of Chen Fu’s back.

THUD!

With a muffled sound, Mu Bingling’s palm landed squarely on Chen Fu’s back. Only then did Chen Fu react. A mont ago, he had only seen a blur before a bone-chilling pain erupted from his back. Fortunately, he had protected his back with Primordial Power; otherwise, that blow would have severely injured him. It was only now that Chen Fu began to seriously re-evaluate Mu Bingling.

Eight yellow Martial Rings, condensed to their absolute limit, revealed Mu Bingling’s level as an Eighth-Ring Great Martial Master. Pure waves of Primordial Power constantly pulsed from her body. Her elegant, long hair drifted as if in a breeze, and a confident smile graced her beautiful face. Chen Fu finally realized that Mu Bingling’s true strength was by no ans inferior to his own. He frowned, shed his playful attitude, and his entire deanor turned serious.

Outside Luofeng City, a group of figures was rapidly approaching. "Brother Chen, it seems the battle has already begun, likely at the Mu Mansion. Let’s hurry over and join them," Li Zongtang said quickly, his gaze fixed on the quiet streets.

"Mm!" Chen Wenfu tapped his foot. Two green Martial Rings instantly appeared beneath him. Following a surge of Primordial Power, his body rose into the air and, with a WHOOSH, flew toward the Mu Mansion. Li Zongtang followed close behind, while the high-ranking mbers with them circulated their Primordial Power and leaped swiftly between the rooftops.

Just after they had flown off, Mu Gu Tian and Wang Mo also arrived outside Luofeng City. A furious glint flashed in Mu Gu Tian’s eyes. He said in a low voice, "It seems my guess was correct. They really did attack our Mu Family first. Everyone, no need to hide your strength. Take to the skies and fly back!"

With that, Mufeng, Mu Gu Tian, Mu Zheng, and Mu Yeqiu all unleashed their powerful Primordial Power and, with a WHOOSH, shot into the sky. Mu Chen glanced toward the Mu Family’s estate, a cold light flashing from behind his closed eyelids. ’Chen Family,’ he thought, ’you had better not let any harm co to my family. Otherwise, I will slaughter your entire clan!’

The thought had barely passed when Mu Chen tapped the tip of his toe. Propelled by the Illusory Step Technique, he leaped into the air in the blink of an eye. With a re thought, platforms of ice-blue energy materialized beneath his feet, one after another. Propelled forward, his speed surpassed even that of Mu Gu Tian and Mufeng, yet not a single trace of Primordial Power fluctuation could be felt from him.

Mu Gu Tian stared at Mu Chen in astonishnt. To fly, they had to release Primordial Power, which would inevitably reveal their Martial Ring levels. But Mu Chen hadn’t revealed a single trace of it. His flight felt like the Walking on Air unique to the Martial King Level, but he didn’t have wings on his back. For a mont, everyone fell into a stunned silence.

Wang Mo watched Mu Chen’s departing figure, frowning to himself. ’I don’t seem to have any mory of this young man,’ he thought.

Aided by Walking on Air, Chen Wenfu and Li Zongtang arrived high above the Mu Mansion. They imdiately saw the disciples of the Chen and Li Families locked in a chaotic battle below. As his eyes swept over the Mu Family’s training grounds, Chen Wenfu quickly spotted Chen Li locked in a stalemate with Mu Guangyi, as well as Chen Fu fighting Mu Bingling.

"Overlord Fist!"

"Butterfly Spin!"

In that short span of ti, Mu Bingling had landed several palm strikes on Chen Fu. Enraged, he finally seized an opportunity. His Iron Fist, cloaked in Primordial Power, shot out an earthy yellow fist projection. Mu Bingling’s body had montarily paused after her last attack, and Chen Fu’s punch was perfectly tid. With no ti to dodge, she began to spin rapidly on the spot. A white hurricane instantly ford, completely shielding her slender figure within.

The Overlord Fist slamd into the white hurricane. After a deafening roar, both the earthy yellow fist projection and the white hurricane shattered simultaneously. Chen Fu remained standing where he was, but the powerful impact sent Mu Bingling stumbling backward.

From his position in the air, Chen Wenfu flicked his wrist, and a silver-white longsword materialized in his hand. He gathered his Primordial Power and slashed down violently. FZZT! A silver streak of Sword Qi tore through the void, speeding toward Mu Bingling’s back.

Mu Bingling was completely unable to dodge. She could only watch helplessly as that cold, sharp blade drew closer and closer. At that critical mont, an angry roar descended from the sky.

"Shatter!"

A massive black shadow fell from the sky. It seed to possess a captivating presence, drawing the gazes of everyone present.

CLANG! With a crisp sound, the massive black shadow slamd squarely into the sharp Sword Qi. The Sword Qi shattered like fragile glass with a loud CRACK, but the shadow’s montum didn’t decrease in the slightest. BOOM! With a deafening roar, it crashed to the ground like a bomb, tearing up the earth across half of the training grounds. Everyone’s expression changed as they scrambled to retreat.

When the dust and smoke settled, everyone finally saw what the black shadow was. It was a giant black case, embedded upright in the ground. In the ten-ter radius around it, a huge crater was revealed.

Seeing this, everyone involuntarily looked toward the sky. There, a blue-haired young man in robes whiter than snow descended gracefully. He swept an arm out, pulling Mu Bingling into his embrace, and landed steadily atop the giant black case. This young man was, of course, none other than Mu Chen, who had rushed over at the sounds of battle.

Chen Wenfu was startled by this sudden turn of events. He had used seventy percent of his Primordial Power in that slash, yet it had been shattered by a re black case. This proved the newcor’s cultivation was by no ans inferior to his own. Chen Wenfu’s expression grew solemn. He cupped his fist and asked, "Who might you be, sir? Why interfere in the private affairs of our families?"

However, Chen Wenfu’s words had barely faded when Mu Chen felt a cold wind at his back as a dark figure struck from behind. Mu Guangyi roared, "Chen’Er, look out!"

As the last syllable of Mu Guangyi’s warning left his lips, Mu Chen, still holding Mu Bingling, spun abruptly and landed a whip kick on the shadowy figure’s waist. A dull THUD, mixed with a pained grunt and the sound of soone spitting blood, echoed out as the figure shot away like a cannonball, demolishing a large section of the courtyard wall.

"Brother Fu!" Chen Li roared. He tried to throw a punch to force Mu Guangyi back and rush to Chen Fu’s aid, but Mu Guangyi wouldn’t let him escape, flashing forward twice to block his path.

This ti, Mu Chen commanded everyone’s undivided attention. As the dust settled, the figure lying amidst the rubble was revealed. It was none other than Chen Fu, who had just been fighting Mu Bingling. His eyes had rolled back in his head, and the corners of his mouth were stained with blood. Mu Chen’s counterattack had been too sudden. Chen Fu never imagined his sneak attack would be dodged, and because of that overconfidence, he hadn’t even bothered to protect his body with Primordial Power.

Just how imnse was Mu Chen’s physical Explosive Power? A single whip kick was enough to shatter Chen Fu’s spine. Staring at the impossibly calm young man, Mu Guangyi opened his mouth but was at a loss for words. The Mu Chen of the past had been so frail he would get winded after a short walk, let alone fight soone. But now? In just three short years, that sa boy had beco a true powerhouse. He had defeated a Martial Spirit expert in a single blow. And while it was a counter to a sneak attack, no one else could have possibly reacted with such vicious speed.

"Just who are you?" Chen Wenfu growled, his brow deeply furrowed as he stared at Mu Chen.

Mu Chen smiled faintly. "Patriarch Chen, it seems important n are quite forgetful. I’m that piece of trash you’re all so familiar with."

Li Zongtang froze, pointing a finger at him. "Trash? You’re... Mu Chen?!"

At this, Mu Chen smiled again, a smile brimming with utter confidence. But in the eyes of Chen Wenfu and Li Zongtang, it was pure mockery. Seeing the cripple of yesterday standing before them now, a complex storm of emotions churned within Chen Wenfu, but it all finally coalesced into rage. "Heh, perfect. We’ll just eliminate you along with the rest. It’ll save us trouble later on. Hah!"

With a great shout, Chen Wenfu’s body was swiftly enveloped in a Primordial Energy Vortex. Two green Martial Rings shone with exceptional brilliance beneath his feet. At the sa ti, Li Zongtang also revealed his power—he, too, was a Two-Ring Martial Spirit.

Mu Chen’s eyes remained closed, yet his focus was locked onto Chen Wenfu. In his arms, Mu Bingling’s face grew warm. She looked up at him, feeling for the first ti what it was like to be protected. ’So this is how happy it feels to have soone protect you,’ she thought.

"Second Elder, Mu Guangyi is yours," Chen Wenfu commanded. "Patriarch Li and I will annihilate the rest of the Mu Family mbers. We need to finish them quickly, before those old fossils get back."

Chen Li grunted in acknowledgnt. Fueled by his rage, his aura surged dramatically. He charged at Mu Guangyi like a ferocious tiger, fists flying. In monts, the two were once again locked in a fierce exchange of blows. Their clash was the spark that reignited the powder keg, and the disciples of the Chen, Li, and Mu Families descended into a chaotic lee once more.
