Chapter 2304: Chapter 2283: Peril on All Sides

At this mont, Lin Feng beca curious about these flowers. He had never seen carnivorous flowers before, so he stepped towards those spherical flowers, intending to study how these flowers consu at.

Looking at the row of spherical flowers before him, Lin Feng found it hard to believe they could be so ferocious, able to devour a wild beast so easily if he hadn’t seen it with his own eyes. He pondered this as he continued walking forward.

At this mont, the originally calm spherical flowers began to sway subtly, as if sensing a mysterious force threatening them. Instantly, they swelled up simultaneously, becoming huge and aggressive, collectively lunging towards Lin Feng’s direction with their large mouths agape. The white mist emanating from their mouths quickly concealed their terrifying appearance.

Faced with this abnormal transformation of the flowers, Lin Feng instinctively took several steps back, feeling slightly surprised. Just now, one flower grew larger when a living creature approached. Had he not observed them carefully while walking, he might have beco a delightful al for these flowers by now.

After a brief consideration, Lin Feng moved forward again. The closer he got, the more agitated the flowers beca. The screeching sound of their teeth clashing drowned out by the white mist from their mouths obscured his vision. Confronted with the sudden whiteness before him, he halted, noticing that the eerie squeaking sound vanished abruptly.

Silence...

At that mont, no sound could be heard, an eerie quietude.

Then, a faint dark purple shadow erged in the mist. Just as it was about to burst out, the white mist vanished instantly, revealing a gigantic mouth in mid-air, brandishing fangs the size of a human, charging towards Lin Feng.

Seeing the enormous mouth rushing towards him, Lin Feng imdiately summoned his Divine Sense, a transparent blade storm suddenly materializing before him, instantly slicing the attacking spherical flower to pieces.

Watching the shards of the spherical flower fall to the ground, Lin Feng frowned. These flowers were indeed strange; a dozen spherical flowers had compactly clustered together, suddenly transforming into a giant mouth. If he hadn’t reacted quickly, he would have been swallowed by this flower.

Walking a few more steps forward, Lin Feng noticed that the remnants of the spherical flower resembled chunks of flesh, oozing a faint pink liquid akin to blood. However, these liquids soon solidified together, forming a round stone plate that was translucent and faintly glowing pink.

Witnessing such bizarre changes once again, Lin Feng hesitated. This substance that transford from blood into stone was sothing he had never encountered before—not even heard of. The stone seed far from simple.

With a hint of caution, Lin Feng walked towards the stone. Within a few dozen steps, he reached the stone’s edge, observing that the faint glow emanated from the stone’s center. Extending his left hand, he grasped the pink stone, placing it into his Cave Heaven Mansion with a thought.

At this mont, Lin Feng looked ahead and noticed a trace of white light between the distant trees. His heart leaped with joy. Could this be the exit out of the forest? Better to go over and explore first, as this world was filled with too many unforeseen circumstances.

Unknowingly, he had been walking through this forest for two hours, occasionally encountering plants with flowers as large as basins, brown trees that devoured flying little beasts, and so oddly shaped, timid wild beasts. Other than that, there was nothing particularly peculiar.

Looking up at the distant white light area, he noticed the closer he got, the fewer beasts there were, and the few that appeared seed extrely panicked.

What exactly was over there?

Filled with curiosity, Lin Feng arrived in the white light area, discovering it wasn’t the forest’s exit but a very calm river. The river was odd, so still that not a single ripple could be seen. The riverbank was utterly barren except for a few trees and massive stones, devoid of any life. This made him frown slightly; his intuition told him there was definitely sothing wrong with this river.

At this mont, a blue beast, over ten zhang tall, approached the shore. Its ears were like giant banana leaves, and its nose, long and sharp like a rhino’s horn, swung its several-zhang-long tail in the air. Its massive feet, as thick as millstones, thudded against the ground.

Under Lin Feng’s watchful eye, the blue beast walked to the riverbank, extended its nose above the water, and began to draw the river water into its nose. But just as the beast was relishing the joy of drinking, an unexpected turn occurred!

"Splash, splash..."

Suddenly, water splashed from the river, and black odd fish with jagged fangs and a tallic gleam leaped out, attacking the blue beast with a speed as fast as lightning. In the blink of an eye, blood mist began to rise from the blue beast’s body...

"Roar..."

The blue beast wailed and roared, trying to shake off the attacking odd fish, but before it could turn around, it collapsed in a pool of blood. In just a few monts, its enormous body vanished without a trace, leaving only a pool of blood by the riverbank, while the odd fish leaped back into the river.

Seeing this, Lin Feng raised his eyebrows. He hadn’t expected that the seemingly calm forest was actually fraught with deadly danger. He hadn’t even encountered a real Demon Beast yet, and it was already so perilous. Even he might end up capsizing in a ditch if he’s not careful.

His gaze swept across the river’s surface. Lin Feng contemplated how he might cross this river, noticing a giant rock the size of a truck at the bank. A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. This rock was just right for stepping across the river. With this thought, he walked over to the rock.

Then Lin Feng gave the rock a kick with his left foot, instantly sending it airborne. He stepped forward, his right hand swiftly catching the rock still hovering in mid-air, just as he was about to toss the rock into the river, it suddenly started to move in his hand.

How did this rock start moving?

Lin Feng placed the rock on the ground and examined it closely. Only then did he realize that four giant, rock-like legs extended from the stone, and a head resembling another stone erged from it, with two dull grey eyes opening to study him.

Seeing this situation, Lin Feng suddenly chuckled. Who would have thought this rock was actually a creature resembling a Tortoise? He could sense that this Tortoise had no murderous intention and was likely a very gentle Alien Beast. Since that was the case, he wouldn’t throw the Tortoise into the river to feed the fish. He gave the rock-like Tortoise a pat, signaling it to leave.

After the Tortoise leisurely moved away, Lin Feng turned to face the river again, frowning slightly in thought about how to cross it. At this mont, he noticed several dozen-foot-tall trees not far from the riverbank on both sides of the river.

Lin Feng quickly walked to the base of one of the trees, looked up, and chose the tallest one. With a swift motion, he flew to the top and asured the over one hundred feet wide river, instantly streaking across like a flash of light, shooting into the distance.

Seeing the Black Odd Fish jumping out from the river due to his passing, Lin Feng felt a chill in his heart. If he hadn’t been fast, or hadn’t used this thod to cross, the Black Odd Fish in the river might have torn him apart.

"Bang!"

Standing on the opposite bank, Lin Feng began to observe the surroundings. This side of the river was much more tranquil than before; the giant trees weren’t as densely packed, the soft purple sunlight from the sky could be seen, a subtle floral fragrance wafted through the air. So unknown insects fluttered in the air, with a few tortoise-like Little Beasts crawling slowly on the ground. A bird even perched on a Tortoise, joking around.

The peaceful and serene atmosphere made Lin Feng feel comfortable as well. He hadn’t expected such a significant difference in environnt just across the river, almost like two different worlds. With a smile on his lips, he continued forward.

But Lin Feng hadn’t anticipated, after barely walking a mile, encountering trouble!

"Boom rumble..."

Suddenly, dozens of Giant Beasts dashed recklessly in Lin Feng’s path in a panic. Lin Feng imdiately unleashed his Divine Sense, instantly understanding what was happening.

In the distance, a swarm of dark clouds chased these Giant Beasts. Any slow-moving Giant Beast caught by the dark cloud would let out a wail and then instantly be reduced to a bloody mist. Even their bones would vanish completely, leaving behind only a bloodstain to mark where the Giant Beasts once were.

What is this?

This situation shocked Lin Feng. He had already recognized what the dark cloud was; it was clearly a swarm of unknown insects. These insects looked extrely fierce, each about the size of a football, with two pairs of tallic black wings. Their mouths were crescent-shaped black blades, while their eyes emitted a strange red glow. It was clear that each one was as powerful as the Scorpion he had encountered before.

Watching these insects co closer, Lin Feng felt a surge of fear. He might handle one or two, but this swarm, impossible to count in numbers, posed a trendous threat. Even with Fire Spirit Xiao Huo, he couldn’t deal with such an assault!

With this realization, Lin Feng didn’t hesitate any longer. His Divine Sense locked onto a point several miles away, and with Thousand Miles in One Step, he vanished from the insects’ sight in an instant...

He hadn’t expected insects in this world to be so terrifying.

Recalling the scene earlier, Lin Feng finally understood why the Scorpion was so timid. He realized the kind of dangers lurking in this forest! He let his Divine Sense roam free, surveying the surroundings carefully. He didn’t want to accidentally die here.

Lin Feng hadn’t anticipated that when he opened his Divine Sense, he discovered not far away a dark green flower about as tall as a person. The flower’s leaves were only two in number, spread out like banana leaves. Within a ten-foot radius around the flower, no other plants grew, and beneath the flower was curled a snake-like Demon Beast exuding strong Demon Energy, appearing to guard the flower.
