Despite putting up a struggle, Mu Ran and Xuanyuan Zhou didn’t manage to evade the fate of being thrown on top of the obsidian platforms. As for Han Xuhan, he didn’t even try to fight fate.

He jumped up there of his own volition, ready to welco the new developnt. His cooperative actions made even his captors suspicious. But what could they do about it?

Zhao Weiqing examined the texts carved on the platforms for a while and then nodded to himself.

"I’m going to activate so law fragnts here to open an entrance for all three of you. Better not try anything funny, or I will order my main body to give so extra spiritual pressure during the procedure. Most people don’t manage to hold up against the normal pressure, so hopefully, you get the idea of the consequences of making trouble."

The rest of the cultivators surrounded the platform and pushed the three of them until they were rolled up on top of each other, lying above the law fragnts selected by Zhao Weiqing.

Han Xuhan craned his neck backwards and whispered a question to Mu Ran and Yuen Zhou.

"Hey, you two, what are the plans?"

Mu Ran laughed derisively while Xuanyuan Zhou stayed silent.

"Plans? What kind of plans can we even execute right now? I would’ve done sothing a lot earlier if I had a plan."

"Can you do anything once we get teleported to wherever they’re sending us?"

Mu Ran shook his head.

"If I’m not wrong, the ’being’ inside that’s controlling Qian Yun and the rest is an existence who might break past the soul reformation realm any mont. Do you think we have a chance to fight back?"

Han Xuhan cursed silently.

The soul reformation realm?

Why were they eting such overpowered antagonists in the first arc? Is the author a sadist or what? Degenerate! Truly a degenerate!

However, listening to Mu Ran’s energetic tone, Han Xuhan distinctly felt that he hadn’t given up all hope. Perhaps he still had a trump card to play during this critical mont...?

Regardless, he felt a bit daunted by their looming fate once Zhao Weiqing managed to open the entrance to whichever hellhole he was planning to deliver them to. Mu Ran or Xuanyuan Zhou might escape scotch-free even after confronting the being sealed inside the Holy Land of Laws. But Han Xuhan’s luck had always been on the worse side.

He did not feel like tempting fate today.

So he cranked his neck and looked at Zhao Weiqing. A slight smirk appeared on his face as he spoke.

"Hey, Brother BB, can you answer a small question of mine?"

"Brother Bee Bee?" Zhao Weiqing, who had been squatting over a bunch of complex law fragnts, looked up at him in puzzlent, noticing the shift in Han Xuhan’s tone. The sudden prominence of confidence and mischief in his voice gave Zhao Weiqing an ominous feeling.

"Ah, BB is short for Bound Brat. It’s what I’ve decided to call you for now, since you’re locked up in this place, and you took great pride in calling yourself a Holy Child. Anyway, I’ve got a question for you."

"...Ask away." Zhao Weiqing didn’t take the juvenile insult to heart.

"If you HATE a certain sobody A LOT, but you can’t catch him because he is hiding sowhere, what would you do upon learning how to drag him out of his hiding place?"

The ominous feeling in Zhao Weiqing’s heart got stronger. Why was such a random question raised at a mont like this? Was he trying to buy ti? For what?

Thoughtfully, he answered Han Xuhan.

"That depends on how much I hate him. And whether I have the ability to defeat him or not."

"Like I said, A LOT. And he’s really, really weak, as weak as ," Han Xuhan replied.

"Then I’ll definitely drag him out of his hiding place and beat him up," Zhao Weiqing said succinctly.

"Ah, good to know. Thanks for boosting my confidence." Han Xuhan smiled behind his mask.

Since the Seal of Myriad Laws had started malfunctioning a few minutes ago, Han Xuhan had been hoarding trickles of qi from the spirit stones in his pockets. Right now, there was just enough of it in his ridians to activate a law fragnt!

"Teleport!" Han Xuhan shouted lightly, just to add a shocking effect to the action.

For a second, the dizzy sensation of being teleported overca his senses. But when he opened his eyes, he saw Zhao Weiqing’s smooth mask facing him.

He was still in his previous position on top of the platforms!

"What the fuck- why didn’t it work?" Han Xuhan gasped.

"Did you think I am dumb enough to not restrict every type of law fragnt here that is not created by ? Let alone teleportation, without my permission, no law fragnt within the Holy Land of Laws can be activated. The mont my main body began its assimilation, I made sure of this."

Zhao Weiqing laughed bemusedly, gloating at the failed attempt.

"You vile dick!" Han Xuhan roared in frustration.

Why were the bad guys so smart in this world of cultivation? Screw you, author!

One second later, a crimson light flashed around Han Xuhan’s body, wrapping Mu Ran and Xuanyuan Zhou together, after which all three of them disappeared from that spot.

"...." Zhao Weiqing’s laughter ca to a choked-up halt. He numbly stared at the empty space in front of him.

His chest felt stuffy.

What happened just now?

He couldn’t help but stare in incomprehension at the Seal of Myriad Laws spinning in the sky.

Has sothing gone wrong with it? Even though it was beginning to go out of the main body’s control, he could still sense that the major laws that suppressed all the newly made law fragnts here were still properly active and running.

"Write down a law fragnt and try to activate it," he ordered one of the vessels while he kept his focus on those law fragnts in particular.

A few seconds later, the vessel tried to activate the law fragnt he had written... and failed.

The law fragnt was neutralized the mont it beca active, just as expected from it with the seal’s suppression.

Then how did those three teleport away?

And why hadn’t he been able to sense the activation of the law fragnt they had used?

Confused and furious, Zhao Weiqing ordered his vessels to begin searching for their trace.

If the main body didn’t manage to expel the corrupt parts of its soul shards soon, the decades of suffering and planning would all have been for naught.
