Han Xuhan rubbed his throbbing chin with his shoulders and said,

"So, now that I’ve blabbered on for so long, explaining in detail about how I ended up here, how about you clear up so of my doubts and explain how you ended up there." He gestured at where Zhao Weiqing was sitting.

"Don’t tell my theories are actually entirely true and you’ve beco a puppet of whoever has been suppressed here by the circle of laws, Brother Yun."

Zhao Weiqing silently contemplated what to say. After a mont, he smiled under his mask and answered,

"Actually, you are not far off the mark."

"Eh?!" Han Xuhan exclaid while Mu Ran uncomfortably squird against his bindings.

"Eheheh..." Zhao Weiqing laughed in a carefree manner while standing up. With a flourishing bow, he pointed at himself stylishly.

"Let reintroduce myself. I am Zhao Weiqing, the holy child of the Holy Land of Laws, currently in a temporary vessel. My main body is about to finish up with so cleanup procedures. But worry not, once the procedures are over, you shall be acquainted with quite intimately."

Han Xuhan felt goosebumps popping out all over his body at his last sentence.

Holy Child? Main body? Good heavens!

"You’re saying that we’d beco puppets like Qian Yun as well? Is the real Brother Yun still inside you? Is he alive in any sense?" He asked.

"Ah, I wouldn’t say puppets. It all depends on yourselves, to be honest. If your spiritual body is firm enough, like Miss Xuanyuan Zhou or Mu Ran, you can certainly pull through with your mind intact.

"But I’d suggest not placing much hope on that thod. Look at the bunch surrounding you. They certainly did not manage to pull through the ordeal."

Zhao Weiqing’s words made both Xuanyuan Zhou and Mu Ran freeze. Han Xuhan could almost guess what each of them was thinking.

Surviving the possession by relying on the foundation of their spiritual forms? Who could boast of such capabilities before reaching the Soul Reformation realm?

Mu Ran’s shock was directed towards Xuanyuan Zhou, and Xuanyuan Zhou’s suspicions were directed at Mu Ran.

anwhile, knowing that both of them were major characters in a fictional world, Han Xuhan’s shock wasn’t particularly strong. Such uniqueness should be par for the course with such character templates.

So, he simply noted the information down ntally and continued the conversation on his own path.

"Is that it? You didn’t give any substantial answers like you forced to give."

Qian Yun laughed, amused at Han Xuhan’s audacity.

"Why do I need to say anything at all? Why do you even care about it?"

Han Xuhan answered in an aggrieved tone.

"Because everything I’ve said mostly stemd from my imagination and so deductive reasoning. It’s impossible for the real events to match them directly. I have a feeling that you’re simply trying to avoid explaining where my misconceptions are by accepting everything I’ve said. Co on, brother. At least before I spiritually die, can’t you satisfy my curiosity?"

Any reader’s heart would resonate with what Han Xuhan was feeling right now. How could they sleep in peace without knowing the full depth of the plot?

Was there a need to be an asshat and ruin the joyful exchange of critical information?

Whoever was possessing Qian Yun’s body must be a massive douche. In such climatic scenes, the villain was supposed to be the one revealing shocking plans and detailed information. Why was Han Xuhan, a semi-protagonist, being forced to play that role?

Proving his evil nature, the masked young man in front of him responded with an audible sneer in his tone.

"Why the hell would I care at all about whether you die unsatisfied or not? You’re not in a position to negotiate with , brat."

Then what was the point of rambling for so long? Was it all pointless? I just wanted to know the hidden plotline. Was that too much to ask for?

Qian Yun, or more accurately, Zhao Weiqing, was truly a rotten villain! He is even cockblocking the audience of Mu Ran’s story! That author was truly a degenerate of the worst category!

Desolate feelings welled up inside Han Xuhan’s heart. But then Zhao Weiqing said sothing that made his eyes light up.

"I think your martial brother Mu Ran is more qualified to answer your questions. If you really want to know, make sure to ask him later, provided you survive the exchange of spirituality with the soul shard designated for you."

Han Xuhan nodded to himself. Indeed, he had forgotten that Mu Ran had so ideas about what went down in the land of laws in the past. His soul grandpa seems to have so relationship with this place.

Zhao Weiqing suddenly looked up at the sky, appearing startled. The rest of the cultivators followed his gaze and noticed what had attracted his attention.

The gigantic Suppression Seal of Myriad Laws in the sky was undergoing so rapid changes. Ever since its ergence, various parts of the seal had been rotating in various directions, creating law fragnt after law fragnt automatically.

But the seal seed to have been affected by sothing. Every few seconds, it would shift from its discernible state to a vague illusory form and tremble violently, as if it was about to fall apart. They could feel the gradual weakening of the suppressive laws activated through it!

"Looks like sothing went wrong with Brother Yun’s plan. Wait a minute, why am I calling you Brother Yun? You’re not him. Calling you Zhao Weiqing doesn’t feel right either since you’re just occupying his body..."

Han Xuhan got distracted trying to think of a na for the guy possessing Qian Yun. No one responded to his senseless ramblings.

Zhao Weiqing gravely observed the seal shifting about in the sky for about a minute. Then he turned to look at the small, possessed army of his.

"It looks like the three soul shards which failed to do their job have affected the main body. We need to act fast and forcefully purify the soul shards before the corrupted parts can take root again. Grab these three and throw them back inside."

Gesturing at the tied-up trio, Zhao Weiqing rushed toward the platforms again. Before Han Xuhan and his martial siblings could react, they were half-carried, half-dragged toward the platform by their captors.
